Method for measuring interleukin 1 ( IL -1 ) and effects of total glucosides of paeony(TGP) on IL -1 production were studied. The results showed that the best concentration for LPS -induced IL-1 production of M s in rats was 8mg/L, the best dilution for IL-1 of LPS-induced M s production was 1 : 90. TGP ( 0 .5 - 12 .5mg/L ) enhanced LPS-induced IL -1 production in a concentration dependent manner, but diminished in the higher concentration of TGP ( 62 .5~l25mg/L ) , the concentration-effect curve seems to be bell-shaped. The data suggested that TGP had two-sided regulatory effects on LPS -induced IL production of M s in rats.

Objective · To prepare recombinant human TIGIT protein in E.coli and characterize its ability in binding Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn). Methods · The gene of immunomodulatory protein of human TIGIT was amplified and cloned into pGEX4T2, and recombinant plasmid was transformed into E.coli BL21 (DE3) for GST-TIGIT fusion proteins were purified by the GST affinity chromatography and the interaction between GST-TIGIT fusion protein and Fn was tested by a pulldown assay. Results · Recombinant GST-TIGIT fusion protein expressed successfully in E.coli and was purified to homogeneity by GST affinity column. This protein could specifically bind to Fn, but not Lactobacillus acidophilus. Conclusion · High purify and activity of human GST-TIGIT fusion protein can be achieved by the prokaryotic expression system, and the adhesion between this protein and Fn has been preliminarily explored, which provides basis for further characterize interaction between them.

Objective To observe the curative effects and explore the homeostasis mechanism of Fuxueningheji in treating metrorrhagia with blood stasis.Methods 60 patients were divided randomly into test group(30 cases,treated with Fuxueningheji)and control group(30 cases,treated with Gongxuening pulse),one course was 1 month.Results The total effective rate of treatment group was 93.33%,and markedly effective rate was 66.67%,while the control group was 66.67% and 40% respectively.There was no significant difference in total effective rate,but was significant difference in markedly effective rate.Fuxueningheji could improve clinical symptoms of patients obviously and reduced the bleeding and coagulation time,improve the hemorheology,decrease PGI2,increase TXB2.The effects was superior to that of the control group(P

The results showed that IL-2 production by splenocytes was enhanced with low concentration of TGP (0.5-12.5 mg/L) , and diminished over the rang of 12.5-62.5mg/L. Objective:To explore the influence ofDan Shou Tang to fetal loss induced by APA.Methods:One hundred of10-week pregnant SD rats were divided randomly into two groups, every group were divided randomly into nourishing kidney and promoting blood flow group A, nourishing kidney group B, promoting blood flow group C, group D-APS model group and group E--blank control group.From the first day ofpregnancy, the rats in group A were given Dan Shou Tang through intragastric administration;the rats in group B were given formula to nourish kidney and rats in group C were given formula to promote blood flow, while group D and group E, as the control were given the corresponding physiological brine through intragastric administration.Then on the eighth and the twelfth day ofpregnancy, all rats ofgroup A, B, C and D were given multi-site subcutaneous injecting ofpurified ACA-IgG or LA-IgG with a dosage of15mg/ml, fats ofgroup E were injected the corresponding physiological brine.On the 15th day ofpregnancy, the rats were killed for samples.Results:Compared with APS model group, fetal absorptivity, ACA and APTT level were dramatically decreased in group A, B and C(P

Objective To investigate the relationship between interleukin-17 (IL-17) and vitiligo.Methods Totally,32 vitiligo patients and 30 healthy human controls were enrolled in this study.Blood samples were collected from all the subjects,and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was performed to determine the plasma levels of IL-17.The relationship of plasma IL-17 levels with disease stage,clinical course and lesion area was assessed.Results The plasma levels of IL-17 were significantly higher in the patients with progressive and stable vitiligo than in the healthy controls (both P ＜ 0.05),and higher in the patients with progressive vitiligo than in those with stable vitiligo (P ＜ 0.05).Moreover,the plasma levels of IL-17 were positively correlated with the area of vitiligo lesions (r =0.456,P ＜ 0.05),but unrelated to the clinical course of vitiligo (r =0.239,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion IL-17 may play a certain role in the occurrence and development of vitiligo.

Objective To determine the eugenol in Dijin spray by GC-MS.Methods The chromato-graphic column was DB-5 fused silica capillary column.Eugenol was determined by program temperature risen method:the initial temperature was 60 ℃ for 1 min,then raised to 200 ℃ at the rate of 10 ℃/min and kept for 5 min,and at last raised to 250 ℃ at 15 ℃/min and kept for 5 min.Electron energy was 70ev.The ions of 164,149,and 77 were selected for eugenol detection.Results The calibration curve of eugenol was linear in the range of0.116～1.16 mg/ml (r=0.999 4) with the average recovery of 97.84％ (RSD=0.47％).Conclusion The method was quick,accurate and repeatable.It was suitable for the quality control of Dijin spray.

AIM To study immunomodulation and antitumor activity of paeonol. METHODS Paeonol was administered singlely to HepA bearing mice. 14 d later, the inhibition of tumor weight were observed. IL-2 and TNF-? content in serum, IL-2 secretion by splencytes, TNF-? production by PM? were measured by RIA. RESULTS Paeonol possess markedly inhibitory activity on the growth of HepA tumor in mice, and IL-2 and TNF-? were induced signficantly. CONCLUSION Paeonol has the effects of antitumor. This effect may be derived from inducing IL-2 and TNF-? production.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the characteristics of patients on long-term peritoneal dialysis (PD). MethodsPatients who started PD since 1994 and received PD for at least one year were included in this study. According to dialysis duration, patients were divided into two groups. Group A (long-term) was defined as patients survived on PD for more than 5 years. Group B (short-term) was defined as patients who died or switched to bemodialysis within less than 5 years. Demography, biochemical indexes, dialysis prescription and adequacy were compared between two groups. ResultsThere were 68 patients in group A and 98 patients in group B. Mean followed-up period of group A and B was (84.80±19.42) months and (27.25±12.31) months, respectively. Younger, fewer episodes of diabetic comorbidity (group A 3/68 vs group B 18/98, P ＜0.05) and coronary heart disease (group A 6/68 vs group B 22/98, P＜0.05) were found in group A. Compared to group B, the level of serum albumin at the beginning of PD was much higher in group A [(35.56±4.74) g/L vs (33.69±5.45) g/L, P＜0.01). The levels of blood sugar, TC, TG, hemoglobin, calcium, phosphate and iPTH were not significantly different between two groups. Estimated GFR, renal Kt/V and renal Ccr at the beginning of dialysis were much higher in group A, however there was no significant difference in urinary volume between two groups. Both estimated GFR and urinary volume decreased more slowly in group A compared to group B. Peritonitis mobidity was lower in group A (1/81.22 months vs 1/29.03 months, P＜0.01). Conclusions In comparison to short-term survivors, long-term PD patients are characterized by being younger, less diabetic and coronary heart disease, fewer episodes of peritonitis, higher level of serum albumin, higher estimated GFR and less loss of residual renal function.
