1.Combined chemotherapy with Shenhong improves the curative effect on metaphase and terminal cancer patients

Objective To observe the effects of Shenhong (SH) combined with chemotherapeutic drugs on curative effect, symptoms improvement, and immunology function in metaphase or terminal cancer patients.Methods All 598 patients were divided into two groups. The control group had 205 patients treated with chemotherapeutic drugs. The SH-treated group had 393 patients treated with SH combined with chemotherapeutic drugs. Results Compared with control patients, the total remission was 42.0% in SH-treated patients. The improvement rates of pain, cough, debilitation, and anepithymia were 71.9%. The Karnofsky grade was increased by 27.0%. CD+3 and CD+4 were increased by 11.6% and 19.3%, but CD+8was decreased by 22.6% at the same time. The patients CD+4 / CD+8 was enhanced by 54.2%, while the NK cell activity and marophage phagocysis were significantly improved. The content of Ig G and Ig A were increased in the same group. Conclusion The curative effect of SH combined with chemotherapeutic drugs was higher than that of control group. The therapeutic effect of SH is explained by its potential regulation activity on immun system.
2.The efficacy of Surpass Streamline flow diversion for intracranial aneurysms

Objective To make a further understanding of the curative efficacy of Surpass Streamline flow diversion treatment for intracranial aneurysms.Methods The clinical data of a total of 68 patients with intracranial aneurysm,who received Surpass Streamline flow diverter treatment at the Affiliated Suzhou Hospital of Anhui Medical University of China between January 2020 and January 2022,were retrospectively analyzed.The preoperative and postoperative changes in hemodynamic parameters,and the preoperative and postoperative 3-,6-,and 12-month modified Rankin Scale(mRS)scores were collected.The imaging findings were analyzed,and the status of aneurysm occlusion was determined.Results Compared with the preoperative values,the postoperative blood flow velocity at the WSS and the tumor neck was decreased,while the blood flow velocity of LSA,RRT,tumor carrier artery and M1 on the affected side was increased(P<0.05),and the blood flow velocity of Ml on the healthy side showed no significant change(P>0.05).After surgery,the proportion of patients with low-grade mRS score gradually increased with the time passing,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The postoperative 6-month and 12-month incidences of in-stent stenosis were 7.35% and 8.82% respectively,incidences of aneurysmal complete occlusion were 52.94%and 63.24% respectively,and the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Of the 68 patients having been treated with Surpass Streamline flow diverter,4 patients developed ischemic complications,and 2 of the 4 presented with blurred vision and cortical blindness,one patient had limb weakness and one patient had a in-stent thrombus,all of which were effectively relieved after intervention therapy.Conclusion For the treatment of intracranial aneurysms,Surpass Streamline flow diversion treatment has good efficacy,it can improve hemodynamics,besides,it carries high postoperative complete aneurysmal occlusion rate with satisfactory safety.Therefore,this technique is worthy of clinical popularization.(J Intervent Radiol,2024,33:285-288)
3.Detection and genetic analysis of newer enteroviruses EV-A89 and EV-C96 in environmental sewage, in Jinan

Objective:To explore newer enteroviruses (EVs) circulating in China and research their genetic characterization.Methods:Sewage samples were collected in Jinan in January and July of 2018, respectively. PCR amplification of the P1 coding region of EV and next-generation sequencing (NGS) were conducted. Homologous and phylogenetic analyses were performed on the newly identified newer EVs.Results:The EV-A89 (n=2) and EV-C96 (n=1) nucleic acid sequences were detected in the sewage in January and July, respectively and obtained complete P1 coding sequence. The two EV-A89 sequences had 6.1% nucleotide divergence among themselves, and had 88.2%-95.3% homologies with other strains. No close genetic relationship was obtained with the sequences from Xinjiang, China and those from other countries. The EV-C96 sequence in this study had 76.2%-89.4% nucleotide similarities with other isolates throughout the world. Phylogenetic analysis showed that global EV-C96 strains were divided into 5 branches, i. e, A to E. Except for the Shandong 1991 isolate, the other Shandong and domestic strains were all located in branch D.Conclusions:This study added the molecular epidemiologic data of newer enteroviruses EV-A89 and EV-C96, and provides basic data for future research on the epidemic trend of EV-A89 and EV-C96 as well as their association with diseases.
