Objective To investigate the clinic-pathological characteristics and prognosis of 48 female cases with peritoneal pseudomyxoma(PMP).Methods The clinicopathologic features and follow-up data of 48 female patients with PMP diagnosed in the General Hospital of People's Liberation Army from Jan.1982 to Dec.2011 were retrospectively reviewed.The relationship between clinic-pathological characteristics and prognosis were analyzed using log-rank test and Cox proportional hazards model.Results (1) Clinicopathologic features:the mean age of the 48 cases was 58.8 years (range from 24 to 79 years).Symptoms:abdominal distention and abdominal discomfort were the main symptoms.Imaging examinations showed nonspecific abdominal and pelvic lesions in most cases.Treatment:all the 48 patients underwentlaparotomy and cytoreductive surgery (CRS),in which 15 (31％) patients with completeness of the cancer resection (CCR)-1,24(50％) cases with CCR-2,and CCR-3 in 9(19％) cases.Six (12％) cases were treated by intraoperative hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) with cisplatin,20 (42％) patients were treated with different options postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy.Pathological types:the cases were histologically classified into 3 subcategories:disseminated peritoneal adenomucinosis (DPAM),peritoneal mucinous carcinomatosis (PMCA),and PMCA with intermediate or discordant features (PMCA-I/D),which were 22 (46％) cases,9 (19％) cases and 17 (35％) cases,respectively.Appendiceal tumors:44(92％) cases underwent appendectomy,in which 38 cases presented appendiceal tumors (including 20 cases of low-grade appendiceal mucinous adenoma and 18 cases of appendiceal mucinous adenocarcinoma),2 cases were diagnosed as appendicitis,4 cases with unknown pathologic diagnosis.And the other 4(8％) cases,who didn't undergo appendectomy at the first operation,presented peritoneal tumor recurrence and appendiceal mucinous tumors 1,11,32 and 85 months after surgery,respectively.Parenchymal organs involved:ovarian involving was happened in 34 (71％)patients including 15 cases with the right ovary involving,13 cases in both sides,and 6 cases involving the left side.The other parenchymal organs in 10(21％) cases.(2) Prognostic factors:11 patients died,31 survived and 6 cases were lost to follow-up.The mean survival time was 99 months(ranged from 1 to 312 months).The 3-year,5-year and 10-year survival rates were 73.3％,68.0％ and 46.6％,respectively.Univariate statistical analysis showed that age,pathological type and parenchymal involvement were significantly relationship with the survival time (all P ＜ 0.05).But the operation times,appendiceal tumor type,ovarian involvement,CCR,intraperitoneal HIPEC and post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy were not significantly correlate with survival time (all P ＞ 0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that age and pathologic type were independent prognostic factors (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions No specific clinical features presented in PMP.CRS with HIPEC should the recommended treatment.Both ovaries exploration and appendectomy should be carried out routinely in CRS.The 10-year overall survival of PMP is low.Age,pathological type and parenchymal organs involvement other than ovarian are correlated with the prognosis.And the pathological type and age are independent prognostic factors of PMP.

Objective To comparatively study the difference status of lymphocyte subsets and activated T lymphocyte between preoperation and intraoperation,and to investigate the influence of operation on lymphocyte subsets and their activation in the pa-tients with malignant tumors.Methods The lymphocyte subsets and their activated cells were determined in 42 cases of common malignant tumors by the flow cytometry.Results The levels of CD3 + ,CD4 + ,CD8 + cells during intraoperation were obviously de-creased compared with preoperation,the difference in CD3 + and CD4 + had statistical significance(P <0.05),while the difference of CD8 + had no statistical significance(P >0.05).NK,CD19 + ,CD3 + HLA-DR+ were significantly increased,the difference of NK and CD19+ had no statistical significance(P >0.05),while the difference with CD3 + HLA-DR+ had statistical significance(P <0.05). Conclusion The cellular immune function in the patients with malignant tumor is in inhibitory status.Operation makes the cellular immune function to be further injured.The stress responses of operation and trauma increase the expression of NK,CD19 and acti-vated T lymphocytes.It is suggested that the patients with malignant tumor should use the immune response modifier before opera-tion to enhance the cellular immune function for ensuring the effect of postoperative radiochemotherapy sequential treatment.

Objective To explore the methods of improving diagnosis correctness between the patients with prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia.Methods Totally 87 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia or prostate cancer which confirmed by MRI and prostate biopsy for the PSA significantly increased in our hospital from July 2013 to March 2016 were collected.By using the three methods of the PI-RADS V2 score,the T2WI+DWI/ADC+DCE-MRI+MRS and PI-RADS V2 score+MRS to diagnose,and comparing with the pathology results,the diagnostic consistency of the two physicians were analyzed.The sensitivity,accuracy and specificity of three ways were compared,and the correlation between PI-RADS V2 score and Gleason score were calculated.Results The diagnostic consistency of the two physicians:PI-RADS V2 score,K=0.951;T2WI+DWI/ADC+DCE-MRI+MRS score,K=0.838;PI-RADS V2+MRSI score,K=0.937.The correlation between PI-RADS V2 score and Gleason score,r=0.871,P=0.001 4;diagnostic sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of PI-RADS V2 score were 77.3％,74.4％,75.9％;diagnostic sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of T2WI+DWI/ADC+DCE-MRI+MRS were 88.6％,76.7％,82.8％;diagnostic sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of PI-RADS V2+MRSI score were 86.4％,81.4％,83.9％,respectively.Conclusion Compared with the traditional diagnostic methods,the combination of new prostate report and data system and MRSI can improve the diagnostic accuracy of prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia.The PI-RADS V2 score is more objective and accurate in the description of the lesion,but the low signal of benign hyperplastic nodules in transitional zone should be dialogued carefully through a variety of image parameters.

Objective To investigate the effects of dihydroartemisinin (DHA) on the proliferation of gastric cancer cell line SGC7901 and its mechanism.Methods SGC7901 cells were divided into the DHA group and the control group.SGC7901 cells in the DHA group were treated with DHA of different concentrations (6.25,12.50,25.00,50.00,100.00 μmol/L),SGC7901 cells in the control group were cultured in the 0.1％ DMSO medium.The proliferation of SGC7901 cells was detected by the MTF method at different time points (24,48,72 hours).Cell cycles of SGC7901 in the DHA group were observed by flow cytometry at 24 hours after treatment.The expressions of Cyclin A,Cyclin D1,Cyclin E,Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (CDK4) and P16 were detected by Western blot after treating SGC7901 with DHA at concentration of 100μmol/L for 24 hours.The interaction between CDK4 with Cyclin D1 or P16 was examined using the co-immunoprecipitation assay.All data were analyzed using the one-way analysis of variance or the t test.Results The proliferation of SGC7901 cells was significantly inhibited after the treatment with DHA at different concentrations (6.25,12.50,25.00,50.00,100.00 μmol/L) for 24,48 and 72 hours (F =78.66,235.37,93.75,P ＜ 0.05).Compared with control group,the number of SCG7901 cells in the G0/G1 phase in the DHA group was significantly increased (F =18.42,P ＜0.05).After treating SGC7901 cells with DHA for 24 hours,the protein expressions of Cyclin D1 and CDK4 were 0.67 ± 0.15 and 0.64 ± 0.18 in the control group,which were significantly higher than 0.17 ± 0.05and 0.24 ± 0.06 in the DHA group (t =7.746,5.164,P ＜ 0.05).The protein expressions of Cyclin E were 0.42 ± 0.06 in the control group and 0.35 ± 0.06 in the DHA group,with no significant difference (t =2.021,P ＞ 0.05).The protein expressions of Cyclin A were 0.35 ± 0.09 in the control group and 0.38 ± 0.08 in the DHA group,with no significant difference between the 2 groups (t =1.266,P ＞ 0.05).The protein expressions of P16 were 0.29 ± 0.07 in the control group and 0.54 ± 0.12 in the DHA group,with significant difference between the 2 groups (t =4.408,P ＜ 0.05).The results of co-immunoprecipitation assay showed that DHA decreased the interaction between CDK4 and Cyclin D1,and increased the interaction between CDK4 and P16.Conclusion DHA induces SGC7901 cells arrested in G0/G1 phase,and the effect may be related with its downregulation of Cyclin D1 and CDK4,up-regulation of P16,decreasing the interaction between CDK4 and Cyclin D1,and increasing the interaction between CDK4 and P16.

Objective To study the role and clinical significance of chemokine receptor-4 (CXCR4) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the occurrence and development of renal cell carcinoma. Methods Expression of CXCR4 and VEGF were detected by SP immunohistochemical technique in 56 cases of kidney carcinoma tissues (including 20 cases of lymph node metastasis), 10 normal tissues nearby kidney cancer. Results The positive rates of CXCR4 and VEGF were 66. 1% (37/56) and 73. 2% (41/56),which were significantly higher than those in normal tissues( 20. 0% (2/10) and 30. 0% (3/10), respectively) (P ＜ 0. 05 ＝. The expression of CXCR4 protein was significantly positively correlated with that of VEGF protein (r = 0. 315 ,P ＜ 0.05 ＝ in renal cell carcinoma. Conclusion There is a significant positive correlation between high expressions of CXCR4 and VEGF proteins in renal cell carcinoma,the high expressions of CXCR4 and VEGF proteins may be related to the metastasis and prognosis of renal cell carcinoma,thus they could be used as important indicators in judging the metastasis prognosis of renal cell carcinoma,and offer prospects for the treatment of renal cell carcinona.

Methods Experiment group:After 20 tubes containing fresh blood and pig marrow were uniformly mixed, they were instantly continuously detected by high-frequency linear array transducer in fixed-area at short-interval.Clinical group: Ten walking patients with lipohemarthrosis were examined with continuous detection by ultrasound,CT and MR before operation.Results Experiment group: Cloudy echo and slowly floating up of lipoids were detected at the beginning.After 2.7 to 3.7 minutes (average 3.17 minutes), the liquid was divided into two layers with vague boundary.After 5.3 to 8.0 minutes (average 6.75 minutes) ,the liquid was divided into 3 layers with thickening serum laye.Clinical group: Ultrasound findings: Cloudy medium echo was detected at first.After 2.0 to 4.0 minutes (average 3.08 minutes),the liquid was divided into two layers.After 4.4 to 10.0 minutes (average 6.92 minutes) , the liquid was divided into 3 layers with thickening serum layers.Three knees showed fracture line and 2 knees with occult fracture were diagnosed as lipohemarthrosis.CT and MR findings: Ten knees showed fracture line in CT examination,of which 7 knees showed double liquid-liquid layer and 3 knees showed single liquid-liquid layer in the suprapatellar bursa.Ten knees showed fracture line in MR examination,6 knees showed double liquid-liquid layer and 4 knees showed single liquid-liquid layer in the suprapatellar bursa. Conclusions The best braking time in diagnosing lipohemarthrosis by ultrasound can be shorten to 10 minutes and the necessary braking time is 2 to 4 minutes.
