Objective To analyze the genetic diversity of eight species of Caragana Fabr. in Ordos Plateau. Methods To study the genetic diversity of the eight species with ISSR method. Results The total percentage of polymorphic bands (PPB) of the eight species was up to 100%, which was extremely high and showed an abundant genetic diversity. However, the genetic diversity of different species was not the same. The genetic diversity of C. tibetica, C. korshinskii, C. stenophylla, C. roborovskyi, and C. intermedia was higher, while that of C. opulens and C. purdomii was lower, and that of C. brachypoda was the lowest. The analytic results of the Nei′s gene diversities and the Shannon′s information index were similar. Different species could be differentiated through UPGMA method and characteristic banding pattern of ISSR. Conclusion ISSR Molecular marker could be used in molecular authentication and hereditary background study of the species of Caragana Fabr. These results provide the scientific basis of developing effective protection measures for these species.

Objective To analyze setup errors for irradiation of pelvic carcinoma by online conebeam CT (CBCT) scanning and to calculate the external margins from clinical target volume (CTV) to planning target volume (PTV) in treatment planning. Methods Twelve patients with rectal or prostate cancer were enrolled in this study. Translational errors (x,y,z) and rotational errors (u,v,w) were obtained by using CBCT in radiotherapy. Results The set-up errors were gathered from 229 sets of CBCT in 12patients. The systemic ± random errors on x,y,z, u,v and w axes were (0.49 ± 1.18) mm, (-0. 11 ±3.45) mm, (-2. 00 ± 1.59) mm, 1.14°±0. 67°, 0. 42°±O. 94°and -0. 32°±±0. 68°, respectively. Setup errors in the left-right, anterior-posterior, and superior-inferior directions were 4. 6 mm, 12. 5 mm, and 6. 2 mm, respectively. Conclusions Set-up errors were unavoidable in pelvic carcinoma irradiation. To minimize the influence of set-up errors, we suggest a PTV margin of 5 mm, 15 mm and 10 mm in the leftright, anterior-posterior and superior-inferior directions, respectively.

Objective:
To explore the distribution and intensity of kitchen waste treatment plant, providing scientific basis for occupational diseases prevention and treatment in that industry.
Methods:
30 operating personnel in a kitchen waste disposal enterprise were selected as the research group and 16 non-operating personnel as the control group. The epidemiological survey was carried out in June 2015 and July 2016, and the results of occupational hazards and occupational health monitoring during 2015 to 2017 were analyzed.
Results:
The results of various occupational hazards factors during 2015 to 2017 were all in accordance with the occupational health limit, but the results of occupational health examination were abnormal. The occupational correlation could not be ruled out by the abnormality of electrical audiometry, electrocardiogram and Department of Dermatology examination.
Conclusion
Workers in kitchen waste treatment plant are likely to suffer low-intensity, continuous health damage. There is occupational health risk in that industry. The accumulation of basic information and the improvement of relevant standards and methods are needed for further study.

Background and purpose:To perform whole mount technique in the diagnosis of the prostate cancer could provide orientation to the specimen. Whole mount technique has great value in pathologic diagnosis and morphological research. However, limited by the specimen-making technique, shortage of equipment and heavy workload, this technique has not been generally accepted in China. The aim of this study was to evaluate the signiifcance of whole mount technique in the diagnosis of the prostate cancer by comparing the clinical and pathological variables between whole mount patients and conventional ones after radical prostatectomy (RP).Methods:A total number of 229 patients’ whole mount RP specimens were recruited in the study from Dec. 2012 to Feb. 2014. The control group included 393 patients’ specimens which underwent conventional sampling from Jan. 2010 to Jun. 2012. We compared the clinical and pathological variables between the groups, including age, preoperative PSA level, methods of diagnosis, preliminary diagnostic Gleason score, clinical T stage, postoperative Gleason score, pathological T stage, positive surgical margin, extraprostatic extension, seminal vesicle invasion and pelvic lymph node metastasis. Results:Two groups shared similar preoperative parameters. Also there was no signiifcant difference between the whole mount and the conventional sampling groups in postoperative Gleason score, pathological T stage, extraprostatic extension and pelvic lymph node metastasis. However, positive surgical margin and seminal vesicle invasion rates were much higher in the whole mount group than the control one and both of the differences reached statistical signiifcance (26.2%vs 17.6%, 23.1%vs 17.0%;P=0.010, 0.025)Conclusion:After compared the clinical and pathological variables, we could conclude that whole mount technique has prevalence in the diagnosis of the positive surgical margin and seminal vesicle invasion compared with the conventional sampling technique. Thus, whole mount technique should be strongly recommended in the diagnosis of prostate cancer.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the protective effects and related mechanisms of soybean isoflavone (SI) on human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) injury induced by H₂O₂ and lipopolysaccharide (LPS).
METHODSH₂O₂ and LPS were used to induce HUVECs injury in vitro. Nine experimental groups were examined: control group, H₂O₂ (2 mmol/L for 4 h), LPS (2 mmol/L for 4 h), H₂O₂+low dose SI (1 mg/ml), H₂O₂+moderate dose SI (2.5 mg/ml), H₂O₂+high dose SI (5 mg/ml), LPS+low dose SI (1 mg/ml), LPS+moderate dose SI (2.5 mg/ml), LPS+high dose SI (5 mg/ml). The survival ratio of HUVECs was detected with MTT assay. The cultured cells were loaded by Fura-2/AM and the change of [Ca²⁺] in HUVECs was measured by fluorospectrophotometry. The contents of malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), reduced glutathione (GSH-Px) were measured by the commercial kits. The levels of tissue plasminogen activator IL-6 in the supematant were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits. Apoptosis rate of the HUVECs was analyzed by flow cytometry.
RESULTSH₂O₂ and LPS significantly decreased HUVECs viability, increased the contents of MDA, IL-6 and decreased the contents of SOD and GSH-Px, and increased the apoptosis rate [(37.8 ± 1.8)% and (38.9 ± 1.1)%]. Co-treatment with SI could reduce MDA and IL-6 while increase SOD and GSH-Px and reduce apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner.
CONCLUSIONThe findings demonstrate that soybean isoflavone could attenuate H₂O₂ and LPS induced injury in human umbilical vein endothelial cells through protecting mitochondrial function, improving antioxygenic activity, and suppressing the mobilization of cytosolic calcium.
