1.Effect of acupuncture and drug on plasma calcitonin gene-related peptide levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2008;15(6):885-886
Objective To study the effect of acupuncture and medication on plasma ealcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP) levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods 90 patients with simple obesity were ran-domly divided into acupuncture and medication group( n = 45) and medication group( n = 45 ). All patients were ex-amined the plasma level of CGRP to observe clinical curative effect before and after 1 month treatment. Results The total effective rate of acupuncture and medication group 91.1% (41/45) was significantly higher than that in medication group 77.8 % (36/45) (P < 0.05) ; after treatment the plasma level of CGRP in two groups were signifi-candy higher than those before treatment(P < 0.05) , acupuncture and medication group was significantly higher than that in medication group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture in combination with drug could cut down nerve cell damage, and it may be significantly related to levels of CGRP in patients with acute cerebral infarction.
2.Effect of GBE50 on L-type calcium current and cytosolic[Ca~(2+)]_i in ischemic guinea pig ventricular myocytes
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2010;26(3):329-333
Aim To observe the effect of Ginkgo biloba extract 50(GBE50)on L-type calcium current and cytosolic[Ca~(2+)]_i in ischemic guinea pig ventricular myocytes. Methods Single ventricular myocytes were isolated by enzymatic dissociation. I Ca-L was recorded by whole-cell patch clamp technique in voltage clamp mode.[Ca~(2+)]_i was detected by laser confocal micros-copy and represented by relative fluorescent intensity (FI).Results During ischemia, the peak Ca~(2+) current was reduced, and the I-U curve of I Ca-L was shifted upward.50 mg·L~(-1) GBE50 reversed the change induced by ischemia(n =6, P >0.05).After perfusing ischemic solution for 12 min, intracellular calcium concentration was increased(n =10, P <0.01).After perfusion with ischemic solution containing 50 mg·L~(-1) GBE50, the increase of intracellular calcium concentration was markedly inhibited(n =10, P >0.05).Conclusion GBE50 can reverse the decrease of I Ca-L and partially inhibit calcium overloading during ischemia.
3.A MODIFIED METHOD OF DETERMINING NK ACTIVITY IN HUMAN PERIPHERAL BLOOD:WHOLE BLOOD ASSAY
Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(02):-
With use of ~(125)I-udR release test,a significant natural killer activityagainst K_(562) target cells has been determined in human peripheral wholeblood(WB).r There was a gradual decrease in NK activity as rise inthe dilution or WB.In comparison with peripheral monouclear cells(PBMC)oneself, the NK activity lowered distinctly at both 1:4 and 1:8 dilution ofWB(p0.4).It seems that neither the red blood cells nor thePlasma ffeect on NK activity of WB,The NK activity in WB as well as inPBMO was improved by incubation with human leukocyte interferon.TheNK activity of WB and PBMC in patients with hepatocellular carcinomawas signiticantly lower than in normal controls. The results showed tahtNK activity may be determined by using properly diluted WB instead orPBMC,and the assay can be easily performed in clinical practice.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of facial vein-superior ophthalmic vein approach to embolize carotid-cavernous sinus fistulas.Metheds The involved cavernous sinus was catheterized through the femoral vein-facial vein- superior ophthalmic vein approach, GDC, EDC, free microcoil, or silk were used to pack the sinus and occlude the shunt. If therer was any difficulty in catheterizing the faical vein, facial vein was exposed surgically and punctured, and then, through the superior opthalmic vein, the cavernous sinus was packed. Results 16 cavernous sinuses in 14 CCF patients(5 traumatic CCFs, 9 dural CCFs) were catheterized through facial vein-superior ophthalmic vein approach, and the technical success was achieved in 15 cavernous sinuses. Immediate angiographic cure of the shunts was achieved in 11cases, residual shunts with inferior petral sinus drainage in 2. Facial vein occlusion was encountered in 1 patient during the facial vein catheterization, further packing of the cavernous sinus was not performed, but follow-up angiography at the 21 st day revealed the spontaneous cure of the shunt. The VI cranial nerve palsy present after balloon embolization in a type A CCF was not improved after the packing of the cavernous sinus. Ocular symptoms in other patients disappeared after tranvenous embolization. The clinical follow-up period ranged from 3 to 21 months, no recurrence of the symptoms was found. Follow-up angiography in 2 patients with residual shunting showed the unchanged shunts, no further embolization was performed. No follow-up angiography was performed in other patients. Conclusions The facial vein-superior ophthalmic vein approach can be chosen as an optimum treatment for dural CCFs, and an important alternative treatment for type A CCFs after the failure of the initial balloon embolization.

Journal of International Pharmaceutical Research 2017;44(1):1-12
Anthrax is a malignant infectious disease caused by Bacillus anthracis spores, after entering the host Bacillus an-thracis produces and releases anthrax toxin, which is the main cause leading to death of the host. The anthrax toxin is composed of two enzymatically active components:lethal factor(LF)and edema factor(EF),and one shared receptor binding and translocation com-ponent:protective antigen(PA). PA combined with LF is called lethal toxin(LeTx),while PA combined with EF called edema toxin (EdTx). Currently, the main drugs for treating anthrax are antibiotics, but antibiotics can only kill part of anthrax spores and bacte-ria,and cannot inhibit the activity of anthrax toxin. So it is necessary to develop novel drugs for inhibiting anthrax toxin. This review summarizes the evolution of small-molecule inhibitors of anthrax toxin respectively targeting PA,LF and EF.

Objective To know the influence of comfortable nursing for paitnets with malignant tumor on promoting their quality of life. Methods Selected 995 patients with malignant tumor who had diagnosed by pathology and coured by chemotherapy or radioehemotherapy. Divided them into the experimental group (498 cases) and the control group (497 cases) randomly. Routine nursing cares were used in the control group, while the comfortable nursing cares were used in the experimental group in addition. QLQ-C30 was used to evaluate the level of patients'quality of life at the time of beginning, ending and the midpoint of the treatment. Results There was no significant difference between the two groups about the QLQ-C30 values at the beginning of the treatment, while the differences were signifi-cant at the other two time points, the level of quality of life in the experimental group was better than in the control group. Conclusions Comfortable nursing can promote quality of life of patients with malignant tumor, which should be developed in the clinical field.

Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 2002;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the effect of umbilical cord serum(UCS)during induction of dendritic cells derived from umbilical cord blood. Methods Umbilical cord blood was collected aseptically and interface cells were collected with density gradient centrifugation method,CD34 +cells were purified and collected with Mini-MACS technique. Pro-DC were obtained and were divided into 3 groups:①cultured in RPMI-1640 medium with 10%UCS and cytokine,②cultured in RPMI-1640 medium with 10%FCS and cytokine③cultured in RPMI-1640 medium with 10%FCS .Interleukin-4(IL-4),granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF)and tumor necrosis factor(TNF-a)were used in the first 2 groups, but not in control group (group 3). Some cells were collected on the 8th d for phenotypes analysis. Results The expression of CD80 ,CD54 and HLA-DR on the surface of DC cultured in UCS medium had no significant difference compared with that of DC cultured in FCS medium. The expression of surface molecules in UCS-DC group and FCS-DC group were both enhanced compared with the control group. Conclusion Mature DC could be induced from pro-DC derived from umbilical cord blood when cultured with UCS instead of FCS. That provides a new approach for the clinical application of DC.
