Objective To study the effect of acupuncture and medication on plasma ealcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP) levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods 90 patients with simple obesity were ran-domly divided into acupuncture and medication group( n = 45) and medication group( n = 45 ). All patients were ex-amined the plasma level of CGRP to observe clinical curative effect before and after 1 month treatment. Results The total effective rate of acupuncture and medication group 91.1% (41/45) was significantly higher than that in medication group 77.8 % (36/45) (P < 0.05) ; after treatment the plasma level of CGRP in two groups were signifi-candy higher than those before treatment(P < 0.05) , acupuncture and medication group was significantly higher than that in medication group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture in combination with drug could cut down nerve cell damage, and it may be significantly related to levels of CGRP in patients with acute cerebral infarction.

Aim To observe the effect of Ginkgo biloba extract 50(GBE50)on L-type calcium current and cytosolic[Ca~(2+)]_i in ischemic guinea pig ventricular myocytes.Methods Single ventricular myocytes were isolated by enzymatic dissociation. I Ca-L was recorded by whole-cell patch clamp technique in voltage clamp mode.[Ca~(2+)]_i was detected by laser confocal micros-copy and represented by relative fluorescent intensity (FI).Results During ischemia, the peak Ca~(2+) current was reduced, and the I-U curve of I Ca-L was shifted upward.50 mg·L~(-1) GBE50 reversed the change induced by ischemia(n =6, P >0.05).After perfusing ischemic solution for 12 min, intracellular calcium concentration was increased(n =10, P <0.01).After perfusion with ischemic solution containing 50 mg·L~(-1) GBE50, the increase of intracellular calcium concentration was markedly inhibited(n =10, P >0.05).Conclusion GBE50 can reverse the decrease of I Ca-L and partially inhibit calcium overloading during ischemia.

With use of ~(125)I-udR release test,a significant natural killer activityagainst K_(562) target cells has been determined in human peripheral wholeblood(WB).r There was a gradual decrease in NK activity as rise inthe dilution or WB.In comparison with peripheral monouclear cells(PBMC)oneself,the NK activity lowered distinctly at both 1:4 and 1:8 dilution ofWB(p0.4).It seems that neither the red blood cells nor thePlasma ffeect on NK activity of WB,The NK activity in WB as well as inPBMO was improved by incubation with human leukocyte interferon.TheNK activity of WB and PBMC in patients with hepatocellular carcinomawas signiticantly lower than in normal controls.The results showed tahtNK activity may be determined by using properly diluted WB instead orPBMC,and the assay can be easily performed in clinical practice.

Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of the changes of plasma B-type natriuretic paprid and NT-pro BNP levels in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods 120 consecutive patients hospitalized for CHF were retrospectively studied.NT-pro BNP and LVEDD,LVESD,LVEF were measured and compared in 120 patients and 50 normal control subjects before medical treatment and on discharge.Results The plasma NT-pro BNP levels in patients with CHF were significantly higher than controls( P <0.05).The plasma NT-pro BNP levels in patients with cardiac function NYHA Ⅰ were significantly higher than controls( P < 0.05).As the cardiac function deteriorated from NYNA Ⅰ to NYNA Ⅳ,the NT-pro BNP levels increased consecutively with significant differences from each other ( P < 0.05).The plasma NT-pro BNP levels was low when CHF was cured ( P < 0.05 ).Conclusion Determination of plasma NT-pro BNP levels in patients with CHF were helpful to study the severity and prognosis of disease.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy of latanoprost for patients with refractory angle-closure glaucoma in whom the intraocular tension failed to be kept under control by common anti-glaucoma drugs.METHODS:A total of 23 refractory glaucoma cases(36 eyes)whose intraocular pressure(IOP)failed to be kept under control by common anti-glaucoma drugs were assigned to receive latanoprost alone or latanoprost combined with timolol or pilocarpine for 6 months.The intraocular tension,visual acuity,visual field and side-effect were observed.RESULTS:In acute primary angle-closure glaucoma group,the mean IOP was(27.13?5.21)mmHg before treatment vs.(16.21?3.45)mmHg at six months(P

Objective To explore the clinical significance of the three indicators combined detection that plasma endotoxin,pro-calcitonin (PCT)and (1,3)-β-D-glucan(BG)in pulmonary tuberculosis patients complicated with bacterial,fungal infection.Methods Retrospective investigation was conducted in 240 pulmonary tuberculosis patients,who were divided into gram negative bacteria (G- )group(39cases),gram positive bacteria (G+ )group(45 cases)including fungal,germ-free group(156 cases).Other 45 healthy people were selected into control group.The levels of plasma endotoxin,PCT and BG in the four groups were compared.Results The levels of plasma endotoxin(0.682±0.418)EU/mL,PCT(2.93±0.87)μg/L in the G- group were significant higher than those of the G+ group (0.063±0.034)EU/mL,(0.85±0.52)μg/L,the difference was significant (P <0.05).The levels of the plasma endotoxin,PCT in the G- group were higher than those of the germ-free group.The levels of plasma endotoxin,PCT and BG in the control group had no significant difference with those of the germ-free group.Conclusion The combined detection of plasma endo-toxin,PCT and BG have some clinical value on the early diagnosis of the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis complicated with G-fungal infection for the advantages of fast and sensitiveness.

Objective To observe the effects of ischemic preconditioning of hindlimb (HIP) on the expressions of heat shock protein70 (HSP70) in spinal cord of rats after spinal cord injury (SCI). MethodSprague Dawleys rats were randomly( random number) divided into three groups (20 rats in each group).In sham injury group, rats received laminectomy without SCI; while in the SCI group, rats received traumatic SCI. In HIP group, rats received HIP 8 h before SCI. The SCI animal models were made by using modified Allen's weight-drop device (50 g·cm) on L3-L4 vertebrae. HIP was induced by compressing the two lower limbs of rats alternately with a tourniquet for three cycles of ten-minute ischaemia followed by ten-minute reperfusion. Rats were sacrificed 24 h and 48 h after injury separately. The protein and mRNA of HSP70 of involved spinal cord segments were determined by using RT-PCR, hybridization in situ and immunohistochemistry. Results There was weak expression of HSP70 mRNA in rats of sham injury group, and sporadic positive cells in spinal tissue were found by using immunohistochemistry. The expressions of HSP70 mRNA 24 h and48 hours after SCI in HIP group[(22.18±3.69) and (14.15 ±4.18)] were higher than those in SCI group[(13.97±4.46) and ( 8.73 ± 3.55 )], and the differences were statistically significant (F=16.06, P = 0.005 and F = 7.43, P = 0. 028). The protein levels of HSP70 24 h and 48 hours after SCI in HIP group [(16.71±4.02) and (9.85±2.20)] were higher than those in SCI group [( 14.85 ± 3.73)and (8.78 ±2.05)], and the differences were statistically significant (F =90. 13, P =0.032 and F=34.70, P = 0. 036). Conclusions HIP can increase the transcription and expression of HSP70 in spinal cord of rats following SCI and may have the protective effects on neural tissue.

Objective To evaluate therapeutic effect and safety of hysteroscope operation in treating hysteromyoma. Methods 146 patients were subjected to transcervical resection of myoma (TCRM), curative effects were evaluated as satisfaction or dis-satisfaction according to the degree of bleeding control, the rate of growth of myoma and the need of subsequent surgery. Results The total satisfactory rate is 95%. and satisfactory rate of type 0 and Ⅰ reached 100%. There was no complication in all patients. Conclusion TCRM is the best choice in treating submucous myoma. The results of surgery were satisfactory to intramural myoma if gasp the indictions. Selecting proper indications for operation, B ultrasonic monitoring severity are important for ensuring the operation effect and safety.

Background Retinal neovascularization is associated with various disorders.Studying the pathogenesis of retinal neovascularization is of important significance.Oxygen-induced retinopathy(OIR) mouse model is a common animal model for the study of retinal neovascular diseases.However, conventional modeling methods usually cause high animal mortality and low rate of success.Objective This study aimed to establish a modified method of mouse OIR model.Methods Eighty 1-week-old SPF C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into normal control group and OIR group with 40 mice for each.The newborn mice of the normal control group were kept in a normal air environment with their breast-feeding mothers, but the mice of postnatal 2 days (P2) in the OIR group were raised with two litters per cage until P7.The P7 mice exposed to oxygen tank containing 80％ oxygen together with one or another mother mouse alternately daily for 5 days and then returned to the normal air environment.The success rate of modeling,mortality rate of maternal mice and survival rate of immature mice were evaluated.The mixed solution of fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and PBS with 4％ paraformaldehyde was infused into the hearts of P12, P14,P17 and P21 mice and the eyeballs were obtained after the mice were sacrificed for histopathological examination of retinas and preparation of retinal flatmounts.The number of vascular endothelial cells extending inner limiting membrane was counted and the distribution of retinal vessels was evaluated.The use and care of the animals complied with the Statement of ARVO.Results The survival rate of the neonatal mice was 100％ both in the normal control group and the OIR group,and the survival rate of maternal mice was 85.7％ in the OIR group.Retinal new vessels were found in the mice of the OIR group,with the success rate of modeling 100％.The retinal vessels distributed from optical disc toward periphery in P14 mice in the normal group.However,in the OIR group,non-perfusion area at the posterior pole was seen in P12 mice,new blood vessels at the periphery were found in P14 mice, neovascularization at the junction area between vascular area and non-perfusion area as well as leakages were exhibited in P17 mice,and less non-perfusion area and new vessels were seen in P21 mice.Retinal inner limiting membrane was smooth in the mice of the normal group, and the vascular endothelial cell nucleus extending inner limiting membrane were seen in P12 mice and peaked in P17 mice.The vascular endothelial cell nucleus were (11.44±2.01), (31.24±1.50) and (9.23-±1.12)/slide in P14, P17 and P21 mice in the OIR group,which were significantly more than (0.27±0.14) , (0.30±0.11) and (0.32±0.16)/slide in P14, P17 and P21 mice in the normal group (t=47.90,61.30,40.70,all at P＜0.05).Conclusions The method of OIR modeling is modified by alternating maternal mice,exposing to 80％ oxygen-nitrogen mixture gas and cohabitating immature mice.Modified modeling method is simple with the low death rate of maternal mice and stable OIR phenotype.

Objective To know the influence of comfortable nursing for paitnets with malignant tumor on promoting their quality of life. Methods Selected 995 patients with malignant tumor who had diagnosed by pathology and coured by chemotherapy or radioehemotherapy. Divided them into the experimental group (498 cases) and the control group (497 cases) randomly. Routine nursing cares were used in the control group,while the comfortable nursing cares were used in the experimental group in addition. QLQ-C30 was used to evaluate the level of patients'quality of life at the time of beginning, ending and the midpoint of the treatment. Results There was no significant difference between the two groups about the QLQ-C30 values at the beginning of the treatment, while the differences were signifi-cant at the other two time points, the level of quality of life in the experimental group was better than in the control group. Conclusions Comfortable nursing can promote quality of life of patients with malignant tumor, which should be developed in the clinical field.
