Objective To explore effect of fetal lymphocyte on pathogenesis of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy(ICP).Methods Twenty pregnant women with ICP and 20 normal pregnant women were enrolled in the study.The single mixed lymphocyte culture/reaction(MLC/MLR)was conducted using inactive lymphocyte obtained from maternal peripheral blood and lymphocyte of cord blood from fetus.Antigen-induced-lymphocyte-proliferation-reaction was used for dermic soluble antigen and decidual soluble antigen obtained from maternal blood and cord blood from fetus.The intense of proliferation was calculated and compared between normal and ICP-complicated pregnancies.Results(1)The level of intense of proliferation of fetal lymphocyte was significantly increased in ICP group 2.75?0.36 than those of normal control group 1.45?0.19 in single mixed lymphocyte culture(P＜0.05).(2)The level of intense of proliferation of fetal lymphocyte was significantly increased in ICP group 1.45?0.19 than those of normal control group 0.67?0.24 in decidual soluble antigen induced lymphocyte proliferation reaction(P＜0.05). (3)The level of intense of proliferation of fetal lymphocyte was significantly increased in ICP group(1.22?0.44)than those of normal control group(0.66?0.27)in dermic soluble antigen induced lymphocyte proliferation reaction.Conclusions(1)The fetal lymphocyte may be one of the effector cells in pathogenesis of ICP.(2)The disturbance of fatal-maternal immune-tolerance is one of the important mechanisms underlying ICP.

Objective To explore the effects of continuous nursing intervention with regular care on health related behaviors in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft (CABG). Methods 80 undergoing CABG patients were recruited to the control group and the study group. All the subjects received regular care.Besides this, patients in the study group received continuous nursing intervention, which include: carrying out education and handing out handbooks before discharging, implementing telephone follow-up after discharging.The health related behaviors, which included 6 parts: nutrition, exercise, stress management, medicine management, complication management and smoking, were measured in the 4th week, 8th week and 12th week after discharging from the hospital. Results Patients in the study group had better health related behaviors than those who received regular care alone, specifically including better nutrition, exercise, medicine management and complication management behaviors. However, the differences of stress management behaviors and smoking between the two groups were non-significant. Conclusions The continuous nursing intervention was a safe and effective intervention style.

The effect of magnetic Fe3O4 particles on cellulase in the enzymatic hydrolysis of sunflower seed hull was studied in different adding ways and additive amount. In the process of enzymatic hydrolysis of sunflower seed hull, the variations of cellulase activity, reducing sugar concentration and cellulose conversion were evaluated. After the reaction, the analysis of pH and surface tension of hydrolysate were also used to determine the mechanisms of cellulase by the magnetic effect. The results indicated that after adding magnetic Fe3O4, the cellulase activity, reducing sugar concentration and conversion of cellulose had an increased between the 0.5 g/L and 2.0 g/L cases after 48 h. When the additive amount of magnetic Fe3O4 was 2 g/L, the cellulase activity at 60 h was improved significantly by 25.9%. It was found that the concentration of reducing sugar was increased from 6.950 mg/mL to 8.775 mg/mL with magnetic Fe3O4 1.5 g/L. Simultaneously, compared with the blank, which the conversion of cellulose was 47.932%, the maximum celluloseconversion of samples with adding magnetic Fe3O4 was 60.531%. Besides, the stability of cellulase activity adding in times was better than in one time. After the reaction, the final surface tension of hydrolysate with 1.5 g/L magnetic Fe3O4 was the lowest in comparison with the blank. However, no significant differences were observed in the final pH of the hydrolysate.

OBJECTIVETo study the clinical features and diagnosis of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP).

METHODSDuring the last 10 years 1241 cases of ICP stayed in our hospital. Their clinical data were retrospectively reviewed.

RESULTS5.2% of all the maternity patients had ICP. It occurred more in winter and 3.5% of ICP occurred in multiple pregnancies. The recurrence rate of ICP was 30.2%. On the average, it occurred at gestational week 32.6. Skin pruritus was the characteristic manifestation and the presenting symptom in 1201 patients (96.8%). The other presenting features included elevated serum ALT and AST (2.3%), jaundice (8 patients), diarrhea (3 patients), deep yellow urine (2 patients) and right upper abdominal pain (1 patient). The serum transaminases levels were elevated, of which 60% were between 50-200 IU/L. Serum total bile acid (TBA) levels were elevated in 82.4% of the patients and bilirubin levels in 33.4%. The elevated bilirubin levels were 30 to 90 micromol/L in 85% of those patients with this condition, and it was never higher than 170 micromol/L.

CONCLUSIONThe basic diagnostic points of ICP are pruritus and abnormal liver function characterized by increased transaminases and TBA. Therefore paying attention to typical pruritus and other atypical features such as elevated serum transaminases, jaundice, diarrhea, deep yellow urine and right upper abdominal pain during antenatal care is important for an early diagnosis of ICP.

In order to get some novel compounds with potent iNOS inhibitory activity, 12 target compounds of N-[ 4-( benzimidazole-2-thio) phenyl ] -N'-alkyl guanidine derivatives ( I1- I12 ) were synthesized from 1-benzoyl-3-[ 4-( benzimidazole-2-thio) phenyl] thioureas (4) by hydrolysis with 2. 0 mol x L(-1) sodium hydroxide solution containing tetrahydrofuran to form the corresponding N-[ 4-(benzimidazole-2-thio) phenyl] thioureas (5) which was S-ethylated with ethyl iodide, followed by amination with primary amines or secondary amines. The intermediate 4 was synthesized from 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (1) by reaction with 1-chloro-4-nitrobenzene to form 2-( 4-nitrophenylthio) benzimidazole (2) which was reduced by iron powder and hydrochloric acid, followed by reaction with benzoyl isothiocyanate. The structures of compounds I1 - I12 were confirmed by IR, MS,1H NMR and elemental analysis. The results of preliminary pharmacological test showed that the activities of three compounds (I 1, I8 and I10) were stronger than aminoguanidine, especially for compound I1.

Objective To explore the establishment of a rat model of acute radiation-induced liver injury and sig-nificance of the dynamic changes of TGF-β1 expression.Methods Forty healthy 6-week old male SD rats were randomly divided into model group (n=30) and control group (n=10).The right liver of rats in the model group was given a single dose of 25 Gy 6 MV X-ray irradiation.Histopathological examination using HE staining and transmission electron microsco-py were conducted to observe the liver pathological changes in rats at 3, 5, and 10 days after irradiation, serum TGF-β1 was detected, and relevant indicators of liver function ( ALT, AST, ALP) were determined.Statistical analysis was per-formed using SPSS 17.0 software.Results At 3, 5 and 10 days after irradiation, early pathological changes in the liver cells were observed by electron microscopy, the expression of TGF-β1 was gradually increased with the time prolongation, and significant differences were found between the model group and the control group at different time points (P<0.05). The light microscopic observation of liver tissues did not show significant differences between the control group and model group.The liver ALT, AST, ALP at different time points did not show significant differences between the two groups ( P>0.05).Conclusion Electron microscopy can be used to evaluate the early changes of radiation-induced liver injury, pri-or to the alterations visible by routine light microscopy.TGF-β1 can be used to predict the degree of radiation-induced liver injury, and may be used as a sensitive serum cytokine in predicting the degree of radiation-induced acute liver injury.

OBJECTIVETo observe the changes in motilin (MTL), substance P (SP), vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) and somatostatin (SS) in plasma of rats with severe scald injury at early stage and the effect of rheum on their changes.

METHODSEighty-eight Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group (NC, n = 8), scald group (S, gavage of distilled water after full-thickness scald, n = 40), therapeutic group (T, gavage of rheum solution after full-thickness scald, n = 40). The blood samples were harvested from inferior vena cava at 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 post scald hours (PSH) to determine the levels of MTL, SS, SP and VIP with radioimmunoassay.

RESULTS(1) The levels of MTL and SP were (198 +/- 28), (61 +/- 10) ng/L, respectively, in NC group. The levels of MTL and SP in S group reached their minimum values [(110 +/- 15), (30 +/- 5) ng/L, respectively] at 6 PSH, then ascended slowly, peaked at 72 PSH but still lower than those in NC group (P < 0.05). The levels of MTL and SP slowly descended in T group, reached normal levels at 48 PSH, and obviously higher than those in NC group at 72 PSH [(232 +/- 32), (73 +/- 11) ng/ L, respectively, P < 0.05], which were higher than those in S group at 6 -72 PSH. (2) The levels of VIP and SS were (35 +/- 6), (30 +/- 5) ng/L, respectively, in NC group. The levels of VIP and SS in S group were (70 +/- 12), (49 +/- 9) ng/L at 6 PSH, which were obviously higher than those in NC group (P < 0.01), then descended slowly, but still higher than normal level at 72 PSH (P < 0.05). The levels of VIP and SS in T group ascended slowly, reached the normal level at 48 PSH, which were lower than those in S group at each time points, and VIP reached peak value at 12 PSH.

CONCLUSIONRheum may regulate secretion and release of gastrointestinal hormones to plasma in rats with severe scald injury at early stage.
