Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) in abdominal cavity. Methods The clinical manifestations, imaging examination, pathology, methodology, effect of treatment and prognosis of 28 MFH patients were retrospectively analyzed. Results Tumors were in the retroperitoneal space in 17 cases, within abdominal cavity in 6, in mesentery in 3 cases, and in the abdominal wall in 2 cases. The clinical symptoms were body weight loss, abdominal pain and mass. B ultrasonography and CT scanning showed mass in the abdomen. 24 cases were with multiplefoci,4 cases were with a single mass. Seventeen cases underwent complete tumor resection,11 cases with partial resection, 16 cases received postoperative chemotherapy and 14 cases with postoperative radiotherapy. The overall survival rate of 1-, 3- and 5- year was 76.9%,26.9% and 3.9%,respectively. Conclusion MFH is most often located in retroperitoneal space, surgical resection was the treatment of choice. The prognosis in patients with MFH might be improved by complete resection combined with chemotherapy or/ and radiotherapy.

Objective To investigate the clinical features of the enterovirus 71 ( EV71 ) infection complicated with pulmonary edema or pulmonary hemorrhage as a fulminant and often fatal illness. Methods The medical records of three cases with EV71 infection were retrospectively reviewed for clinical manifestations, laboratory data, medications, and outcome. Results All the cases were infants and died of the infection. These infants had no skin or mucosal lesions, however, they had sudden onset of cyanosis and tachypnea 1 to 2 days after the onset of the febrile disease with vomiting. All these 3 cases were misdiagnosed and were treated for shock on admission. Pulmonary hemorrhage was not considered in any of the cases on admission. All the cases received tracheal intubation when foamy secretions were discharged from the mouth and nose of the patients and notable cyanosis occurred. After intubation, pink foamy fluid flew out from the endotracheal tube in all the 3 cases. The patients had hyperglycemia and limb weakness, two had tachycardia, and hypertension was found in one case. Chest X-ray showed bilateral or unilateral widespread air space opacity, but the cardiac size and shape were normal. All the patients had leukocytosis. Enterovirus 71 infection was confirmed by detection of specific nucleic acid sequences of the virus from throat swab and tracheal secretions samples and in one case in cerebrospinal fluid. Conclusions Pulmonary edema or pulmonary hemorrhage occurred in the 3 cases with EV71 infection. The initial presentation was nonspecific with fever and vomiting, and sudden appearance of cyanosis, tachypnea, tachycardia, hypertension or hypotension, limb weakness, which may suggest pulmonary edema or hemorrhage. Excessive fluid resuscitation may deteriorate the illness, on the contrary, fluid restriction and inotropic agents, and early intubation with positive pressure mechanical ventilation may be the proper treatment.

OBJECTIVETo study use of nasal lining flap in correction of the wide complete unilateral cleft lip.
METHODS78 patients with wide complete cleft lip were. operated, firstly to be sure. That the lip length on both sides was equal. Then the nasal lining flap was used to enhance the height of the lip on cleft side for keeping symmetry with the non-cleft side. The rest of procedures was the same as "Millard" method.
RESULTS84.6 percent of patients had good appearance at one and half years after surgery.
CONCLUSIONSIt is an effective way to take advantage of the nasal lining flap to correct the wide complete unilateral cleft lip.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the efficacy and safety of using Jiangzhi Tongluo Soft Capsule (JTSC) combined with Atorvastatin Calcium Tablet (ACT) or ACT alone in treatment of combined hyperlipidemia.
METHODSA randomized, double blinded, parallel control, and multi-center clinical research design was adopted. Totally 138 combined hyperlipidemia patients were randomly assigned to the combined treatment group (A) and the atorvastatin treatment group (B) by random digit table, 69 in each group. All patients took ACT 20 mg per day. Patients in the A group took JTSC 100 mg each time, 3 times per day. Those in the B group took JTSC simulated agent, 100 mg each time, 3 times per day. The treatment period for all was 8 weeks. Serum levels of triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) were observed before treatment, at week 4 and 8 after treatment; and safety was assessed as well.
RESULTSAt week 4 and 8 after treatment serum TG decreased by 26.69% and 33.29% respectively in the A group (both P < 0.01), while it was decreased by 25.7% and 22.98% respectively in the B group (both P < 0.01). At week 8 decreased serum TG was obviously higher in the A group than in the B group (P < 0.05). Compared with before treatment, serum levels of LDL-C and TC levels decreased significantly in the two groups (all P < 0.01). There was no statistical difference in the drop-out value and the drop-out rate of serum LDL-C and TC levels (P > 0.05). At week 8 the serum HDL-C level showed an increasing tendency in the two groups. No obvious increase in peptase or creatase occurred in the two groups after treatment.
CONCLUSIONJTSC combined with ACT could lower the serum TG level of combined hyperlipidemia patients with safety.

Objective To study the clinical characteristic and correlation factors of fungal infection in severe acute pancreatitis(SAP). Methods Clinical data of SAP patients with fungal infection (fungus infection group-F1 group) and with bacterial infection (bacteria infection group, B1 group) in January,1994-December,2001 were retrospective analysed and compared. Results There were 40 cases in F1 group, 84 cases in B1 group. There were no significant difference in age, sexual, causes, APACHE II score between the two groups, Hospitalization in F1 was significantly longer than that in B1 group (57.7d∶42.7d, P= 0.044 ).Diabetes-mellitus, SAP grade II, multi-operation, intestinal and/or bile duct fistulas were related to fungal infection in SAP; mortality in F1 group was significantly higher than that in B1 group (P= 0.02 ). Conclusions Diabetes-mellitus, SAP grade II, multi-operation, intestine and/or bile duct fistulas are the risk factors of patients with severe acute pancreatitis developing fungal infection; fungus infection can increase the mortalily of SAP patients.Extra-pancreas fungal infection is commonly seen in digestive tract, respiratory tract and urinary system. unknown consciousness change and massive bleeding may indicate that the patient is complicated with fungal infection.

Objective To explore the effect of remind-to-move treatment on upper limb motor function, activities of daily living and participation in patients with subacute stroke. Methods From February,2016 to October,2017,45 patients with mild to medium upper limbs dysfunction after stroke were randomly assigned to control group(n=23)and experimental group(n=22).The control group accepted rou-tine occupational therapy, while the experimental group wore a wristwatch on the hemiplegic forearm to encour-age the predetermined training programs, for three weeks. They were measured with Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Up-per Extremity(FMA-UE),Function Independence Measurement(FIM),Motor Activity Log(MAL),and Stroke Impact Scale(SIS)before and after treatment. Results Both groups improved in part of the scores of three scales after treatment(P<0.05),and improved more in the experimental group than in the control group in scores of FMA-UE and FIM,and some sub-scores of MAL and SIS(t>1.183,P<0.05),with no significant difference in other indexes(P>0.05). Conclusion Remind-to-move treatment can promote the recovery of upper limb motor function, activities of daily living and participation in the patients with subacute stroke.
