Objective To investigate the mechanism of growth hormone inhibiting IPS-induced apoptosis of alveolar type Ⅱ epithelial cells in rats. Method Isolated and purified AEC Ⅱ cells of SD rats were divided into 5 groups,8 duplicate wells in each group. Group I served as control group; group Ⅱ:LPS 10 ug/ml;group Ⅲ:LPS 10 ug/ml + GH 50 ng/ml;gronp IV :LPS 10 ug/ml + GH 100ng/ml; group V: LPS 10 ug/ml + GH 200 ng/ml. LPS was finally added into wells in group Ⅱ～V . After the cells were incubated for 24 hours, the apoptosis rate and necrosis rate of AEC Ⅱ cells stained with Annexin V/PI were detected by flow cytometry and Fas protein of AEC Ⅱ cells were measured by immunocytochemistry. Results (1) The apoptosis rate and necrosis rate of AECⅡ cells in group Ⅱ,Ⅲ, Ⅳ and V were significantly hitOer than those in group Ⅰ( qapoptosis rate Ⅰ, Ⅱ =12.26,qnecroeis Ⅰ,Ⅱ=18.34, qapoptosisⅠ.Ⅱ=9.63,qnecrosisⅠ,nⅡ=5.75,qapotosisⅠ,Ⅳ= 9.15,qnecrosisⅠ,Ⅳ= 5.39, qapotosisⅠ,Ⅴ = 10.87, qnecrosisⅠ,Ⅴ = 5.91, P 0.05), but lower in group Ⅲ,IV and V than those in group Ⅱ(qapoptosis Ⅱ,Ⅲ= 15.24, qpecrosisⅡ,Ⅲ=16.38, qapoptosisⅡ.Ⅳ = 15.95,qnecrosisⅡ.Ⅳ=16.95, qapoptosis rate Ⅱ,Ⅴ=14.57, qnecrosisⅡ.Ⅴ = 15.61,P<0.05). (2)The positive rate of Fas expression on AEC Ⅱ cells in group Ⅱ,Ⅲ, Ⅳ and V was obviously higher than that in group Ⅰ. ( q Ⅰ.Ⅱ=35.67, qⅠ ,Ⅲ=14.32, qⅠ,Ⅳ = 13.87, qⅠ.Ⅴ=26.16, P<0.05), but lower in gronpⅢ ,Ⅳ and Ⅴ than that in gronp Ⅱ(qⅡ,Ⅲ=12.54, qⅡ,Ⅳ = 13.02, qⅡ,Ⅴ =6.96, P<0.05). Conclusions GH can probably de-crease the apoptosis of AEC Ⅱ cells by inhibiting Fas expression.

DAZL, a member of the DAZ family, plays a key role in human spermatogenesis. It regulates the promoter via genetic modification, especially DNA methylation, promoting the transcription of DAZL. Besides, the relation of DAZL SNPs with male infertility has been a hot spot of research for many years. It is deduced that local and ethnic factors may be associated with the failure of spermatogenesis. This article presents an overview on the results of recent studies, changes in the DNA methylation of DAZL in spermatogenesis, and the association of DAZL SNPs with male infertility, aiming to provide a new theoretical basis and clinical strategy for the treatment of male infertility.

Objective To investigate the roles of adrenomedullin(ADM) and endothelin-1(ET-1) in left-to-right shunt congenital heart disease(CHD) complicated with congestive heart failure(CHF).Methods Plasma ADM and ET-1 concentrations were measured by radioimmunoassay in heart failure stage and recovery period of 18 infants with left-to-right shunt CHD.Also 20 healthy infants acted as control group were measured.Results Plasma concentrations of ADM and EF-1 were significantly higher in heart failure stage of left-to-right CHD infants than those in their recovery period,and both in their heart failure stage and in their recovery period were higher than that in control group(P

Compared with C3 plant,C4 plant had evident growth advantage,higher rates of water and nutrition using,and higher bio-yield than C3 plant,Sugarcane was one of the typical C4 plants.DNA was extracted from sugarcane leaves,primers were designed by the cDNA sequence of PPDK gene from GenBank.Then DNA was amplified by LA-PCR(Long Acute PCR) method,ligated into pMD18-T vectors,and transformed into E.coli.JM109.Full-length PPDK gene sequence of sugarcane was obtained,the sequence was 13.5kb in length.For convenient of the next experiment,two digest sites(XhoI and NotI) were introduced into primers,the full-length PPDK gene was splitted to two parts,and was ligated into pMD18-T simple vectors,respectively.Whole PPDK gene clone of sugarcane was finished.The strains were storaged in the lab.

Objective To explore the role of transfer network in critical neonatus treatment and its optimising strategy.Methods All the materials of critical neonatus who were transferred by network between Jan.2004 and Dec.2007 were collected,the establishment and mechanism of transfer network service,the change of transfer models,results and main factors influencing effect of transfer network in this pe-riod were analyzed.Software SPSS 11.0 was used to analyze the data.Results Two hundred and fifty-six critical neonatus cases were transferred by network between Jan.2004 and Dec.2007,accounting for 13.79% in all critical neonatus born in this period.The birth rate of critical neonatus decreased each year and also the proportion of transfer.The proportion significantly reduced during 2006-2007 compared with that in 2004-2005(P

This study was aimed to explore an effect evaluation method of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the treatment of viral pneumonia. Association rules were used to analyze the therapeutic effect of heat, stagnation, and phlegm related syndromes from 297 respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) pneumonia children before and after treatment. The results showed that through the comparison of the frequent itemset of heat, stagnation, and phlegm related syn-dromes, in part of the time, the support degree of the experimental group was obviously lower than that in the con-trol group (P < 0.05). The frequent itemset of the experimental group disappeared 1~3 d earlier than the control group, which indicated the effect in the experimental group was better than the control group. It was concluded that association rules can be used for evaluating therapeutic effect of TCM in treatment of viral pneumonia. The effect evaluation method based on association rules of symptoms is more in line with the syndrome differentiation of TCM.

This study adopted a large sample, multicenter, registered hospital centralized monitoring nested prospective case-control study design. From the real world clinical application of Shenqi Fuzheng injection, monitored 30 026 cases of patients with the use of Shenqi Fuzheng injection. A total of 51 adverse drug reaction (ADR) cases was monitored, including 1 case of severe adverse reactions. ADR incidence rate was 1.7 per 1,000. Blood samples were collected from patients with allergic reactions and their matched controls. Related biological indicators of allergic reactions were unified detected and analysed in order to explore the mechanism of allergic reaction and promote the clinical safety.

Prolactin is a polypeptide hormone which mainly acts on the reproductive system and plays an important role in penile erection and ejaculation. Prolactin receptors have a variety of short forms apart from the classic long form, which are widely expressed in male reproductive glands. High levels of prolactin can induce erectile dysfunction and results in secondary male infertility, which are mainly associated with the inhibition of dopaminergic activity, reduction of the testosterone level, and contraction of the cavernous smooth muscle. Moreover, low levels of prolactin can result in ejaculatory dysfunction. This article updates the views on the expressions of prolactin receptors in the male reproductive system, the effects of prolactin on penile erection and ejaculation, and its action mechanisms.

Objective To explore the clinical characteristics and treatment of Caroli′s disease in children.Methods The clinical data,laboratory examination and radiological feature of 8 children with Caroli′s disease between Feb.1998 and Dec.2007 were analyzed retrospectively.All children underwent CT and abdominal ultrasonogram.Results Five cases of the 8 children were male and 3 cases were female.The mean age was 6.3 years old.The cases′ history were from 5 days to 4 months.The clinical symptoms showed that 3 cases had hematemesis,5 cases had hepatosplenomegaly,and 1 case had fever and turbid urine.Of the total 8 cases,5 cases were hepatic fibrosis and liver cirrhosis and hepatosplenomegaly,3 cases were portal hypertension,and 1 case had cholangitis.The other 3 cases were simple types.One case had infantile polycystic kidney disease.Laboratory analysis revealed 2 cases had dysfunction of liver and 1 dysfunction of renal.The imaging characteristics showed multiplied irregular dilatation of the intrahepatic bile ducts in enlarged liver,with central dot sign on CT scan.One case presented enlarged gastroesophageal vein.The 8 cases undertook conservative treatment,with no surgery.Conclusions The symptoms of Caroli′s disease are highly variable.Caroli′s disease should be focused especially on children with abdominal pain and hepatomegaly.CT is important for diagnosis of Caroli′s disease at earlier stage.The disease can be conservatively treated,and(or) surgically operated.
