Axillary breast is one of the varieties of polymastia which is characterized by the presence of more than 2 breasts. It may cause symptoms during pregnancy, lactation, or in the premenopausal period. Unless there are obvious symptoms of lactation or the assistance of further imaging studies such as mammography and breast ultrasound, the diagnosis is often confused with subcutaneous lipoma. The incidence of axillary breast cancer is low but it should be investigated and treated properly in view of another breast cancer in the embryonic milk-line. In this paper we reviewed 4 cases of axillary breast cancer and documented some articles regarding aberrant breast and carcinoma arising from it. It is suggested that subcutaneous nodules of uncertain origin around the periphery of the breast should be viewed with suspicion and treated properly.

Archives of Craniofacial Surgery 2016;17(3):176-179
Primary cutaneous mucinous carcinoma (PCMC) is a rare low-grade malignant neoplasm derived from the eccrine glands. PCMC most commonly arises in the head and neck, with the eyelid being the most common site of origin. This case report describes a 51-year-old male with a painless, pigmented superficial nodular lesion over his right lower eyelid. The lesion was considered to be benign, and the initial treatment was simple excision with a 3-mm margin. However, histologic examination revealed the diagnosis of PCMC, and the patient underwent re-excision of the tumor site with an additional 3-mm margin from the initial scar. Histologic study of this second margin was free of any malignant cells. The patient experienced no postoperative complication or recurrence after 2 years. In our case, the skin lesion had benign morphologic findings and was strongly suspected to be a benign mass. Physicians should be aware of this tumor and be able to differentiate it from benign cystic or solid eyelid lesions.

4.Clinics in diagnostic imaging (143). Perianal mucinous adenocarcinoma arising from chronic fistula-in-ano.

Singapore medical journal 2012;53(12):843-quiz p. 849
We report a case of mucinous adenocarcinoma arising in the perianal soft tissue in association with chronic fistula-in-ano in a 43-year-old man who had a relapse of perianal pain and bloody discharge after six years of defaulted follow-up. He underwent magnetic resonance (MR) and computed tomography imaging with correct identification of the disease entity on imaging. Mesh-like septations and an enhancing solid component with high diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and intermediate apparent diffusion coefficient signals were observed. He underwent abdominoperineal resection of the tumour but succumbed due to postoperative complications. Literature on the MR imaging features of this tumour remains scarce. We highlight the MR imaging features, including those seen on DWI, which were useful in making the correct diagnosis. Though uncommon, this would be an important condition to recognise since assessment of fistula-in-ano by MR imaging is considered to be the standard of care in current clinical practice. The clinical features of this entity are also briefly discussed.

A colon cancer presenting as psoas muscle abscess is very rare. A 27-year-old woman was admitted with abdominal pain, fever, and discomfort on left thigh. She had been administered on anti-tuberculosis medication for colonic tuberculosis since 3 months ago. Abdominal CT scan revealed a mass lesion obstructing the descending colon with an abscess formation within left psoas muscle. We undertook segmental resection of obstructing descending colon after the percutaneous drainage of psoas abscess. The pathologic report was mucinous adenocarcinoma of the colon. We report the first case of colon cancer manifested with psoas abscess in Korea, with the review of literature associated with the correlation of colon cancer and tuberculosis.

Primary adenocarcinoma of the seminal vesicles is a rare neoplasm. Congenital seminal vesicle cysts are commonly associated with unilateral renal agenesis or dysgenesis. To the best of our knowledge, mucinous adenocarcinoma of the seminal vesicle cyst that's associated with an ectopic ureter opening into the seminal vesicle and ipsilateral renal agenesis has not been described in the radiological literature. We report here on the radiological findings of a primary adenocarcinoma of a seminal vesicle cyst in this condition.

Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS), which is characterized by multiple hamartomatous polyps of the gastrointestinal tract and mucocutaneous pigmentation, is a rare autosomal dominant disease. This syndrome is often represented as a surgical emergency with complications of the polyps such as intussusception, small bowel obstruction, bleeding, and volvulus. In particular, many studies have reported that patients with this syndrome have a high risk of gastrointestinal or extragastrointestinal malignancy including gastric, duodenal, jejunal, ileal, and colonic carcinoma as well as malignancies involving other organs such as the gallbladder, biliary tract, pancreas, tonsils, breast, and reproductive system. However, there are few reported cases of an association of this syndrome with extraintestinal malignancy. In addition to that, there is no reported case of this syndrome with malignant tumor or intraductal papillary mucinous tumor of pancreas in Korea. We experienced a case of PJS accompanying intraductal papillary mucinous carcinoma of the pancreas, therefore we report this case with literatures reviewed.

9.Immunophenotypings of malignant epithelial mesothelioma and their roles in the differential diagnosis.
Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2004;24(2):112-115
To investigate the immunophenotypings of malignant epithelial mesothelioma (MEM), and to seek the valuable markers in distinguishing peritoneal MEM from peritoneal metastatic ovarian adenocarcinoma (OA) and colorectal adenocarcinoma (CA), immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect expressions of HBME-1, E-cadherin, CA19-9, MOC-31 and CK7 in paraffin-embedded tissues of 18 cases of MEM, 20 OA and 20 CA. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the expressions of E-cadherin, CA19-9 and MOC-31 between MEM and OA group (P<0.05). Similarly, the difference in the expression of HBME-1, E-cadherin, CA19-9, MOC-31 and CK7 between MEM and CA groups is significant (P<0.05). These results indicate that HBME-1 could be used as a positive marker in distinguishing MEM from CA. E-cadherin, CA19-9 and MOC-31 are considered to be useful negative markers in diagnostic distinction between MEM and metastatic adenocarcinomas, including OA and CA. CK7 is the best positive marker in distinguishing MEM from CA, but this marker appears to be valueless in discriminating MEM from OA.
