Objective To investigate the life quality of children with intractable epilepsy and observe the effect of psychological intervention on them. Methods Thirty-nine children with intractable epilepsy,42 children with drug respond epilepsy and 40 healthy children were employed and tested by using of the child self-report scale of quality of life for children with epilepsy.Scores of quality of life were compared among 3 groups.Children with intractable epilepsy were divided randomly into 2 groups:psychological intervention group(19 cases)and non psychological intervention group(20 cases).Only drug treatment was given in non psychological intervention group, drug treatment and psychological intervention were given in psychological intervention group, quality of life was valuated before and 1 month after psychological intervention, then scores of quality of life were compared after and before psychological intervention in psychological intervention group, total scores of quality of life were compared between psychological intervention group after and before psychological intervention and non psychological intervention group. Results Compared with children with drug respond epilepsy and healthy children, the children with intractable epilepsy had lower scores of quality of life(Pa

Tumor cells can metabolize glucose through glycolysis to intermediates for biomacromolecule synthesis by inhibiting the activity of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDC) in mitochondria. In this process, pyruvate dehydrogenase kinases (PDKs) play a key role. The inhibition of the activity of PDKs can effectively block this metabolic pathway, activate mitochondrial oxidative metabolism, and induce tumor cell apoptosis. PDK inhibitors have become a research hotspot in medicinal chemistry, and novel structures targeting classical binding sites have been synthesized. In this paper, recent research progress on PDK inhibitors is reviewed to provide information on these latest entities and to explore their clinical applicability.

Objective To explore the changes of high-sensitivity C reactive protein(hs-CRP) and platelet parameter levels in newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE)and its clinical significance. Methods Thirty-five infants with HIE and 16 healthy newborns were selected as study cases and controls respectively by automantc biochemistry analyzer.Serum hs-CRP content was measured by reaction rate method;Platelet parameter levels were detected by collecting blood samples from peripheral vascular of heel, and the activity of creatine kinase(CK),creatine phosphokinase isoenzyme(CK-MB),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),alpha-hydroxybntyric dehydrogenase(?-HBDH),alanine transaminase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST) were assayed as well. Results 1.The hs-CRP levels in newborns with HIE increased obviously in acute stage, and significant difference were observed compared with controls(P0.05).2.PLT in newborns with HIE decreased significantly in acute stage compared with that of controls(P0.05).3.The values of CK,CK-MB,LDH,?-HBDH,AST,ALT in newborns with HIE were significantly higher than those in controls in acute stage(P

OBJECTIVETo investigate the role of endogenous hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in erectile dysfunction (ED) induced by androgen deficiency.
METHODSWe randomly divided 30 eight-week-old healthy male SD rats into six groups: 2-week control (A), 4-week control (B), 2-week castration (C), 4-week castration (D), 2-week castration + androgen replacement (E), and 4-week castration + androgen replacement (F), those in groups E and F subcutaneously injected with testosterone propionate (TP) at the physiological dose of 3 mg/kg per day after castration, while those in the other groups with isodose oil instead. At 2 and 4 weeks after operation, we determined the level of serum testosterone (T) , intracavernous pressure (ICP) , mean carotid arterial pressure (MAP) of the rats, measured the concentration of H2S in the plasma and corpus cavernosum tissue, and detected the expressions of cystathionine-P3-synthase (CBS) and cystathionine-gamma-lyase (CSE) by immunohistochemistry and Western blot.
RESULTSThe serum T level was significantly lower in group C ([0.63 +/- 0.15] nmol/L) than in A ( [ 16.55 +/- 4.17] nmol/L) and E ( [ 18.99 +/- 4.62] nmol/L) (P <0.05), as well as in group D ([0.70 +/-0.22] nmol/L) than in B ([15.44 +/-5.18] nmol/L) and F ([20.99 +/-6.41] nmol/L) (P <0. 05) , and so were ICP/MAP after 5 and 7 V electrical stimulation of the pelvic ganglia (P <0. 05) , H2 S concentration (P <0.05), and the expressions of CBS and CSE (P <0.05). The expressions of CBS and CSE proteins were also significantly decreased in group C as compared with D (P <0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe reduced expressions of CBS and CSE may inhibit the H2 S signaling pathway, which might be one of the mechanisms underlying androgen deficiency-induced ED in rats.

Objective To evaluate the effect of wire-reinforced polyurethane epidural catheters on the success rate of epidural catheterization in the patients undergoing caesarean section. Methods A total of 182 pregnant patients, aged 25-43 yr,with body height of 145-178 cm,weighing 51-100 kg,of American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ,scheduled for elective caesarean section under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia, were divided into 2 groups using a random number table:polyvinyl chloride epidural catheter group (group Ⅰ,n =94) and wire-reinfnrced polyurethane epidural catheter group (group 11,n=88).Spinal or epidural puncture was performed at L2,3 or L3,4 interspace, and the corresponding epidural catheter was inserted in each group aficr succcssful puncturc.Thc dcvclopment of difficult insertion, intravascular catheter insertion or paresthesia during puncture or insertion was defined as a failure of epidural catheterization. The occurrence of failed epidural catheterization was recorded. Results The failure rate of epidural catheterization was significantly lower in group 1Ⅱ than in gronp Ⅰ (P<0.05).Conclusion Wire-reinforced polyurethane epidural catheters can raise the success rate of epidural catheterization in the patients undergoing caesarean section.
10.Role of microRNA in autoimmune and vasculitis
Chinese Journal of Immunology 2019;35(2):250-256
miRNAs are a novel class of small, non-coding RNAs that regulate the expression of multiple protein-encoding genes at the post-transcriptional level by bind to the 3'-untranslated region ( UTR) of their target messenger RNAs. Although miRNAs constitute only 3% of the human genome, they regulate approximately 90% of genes. In this study, we are going to introduce the role of microRNAs in autoimmune and vasculitis disease.
