Objective To investigate the new epidemiology and clinical manifestation of measles in children in recent years. Methods One hundred and twenty-eight cases of children′s measles were collected,and their epidemiological and clinical characteristics of age distribution,endemic distribution,vaccination,clinical manifestation,complication and misdiagnosis were discussed. Results Among the patients living in urban,90% cases were single dose vaccination,35% cases were between 3-8 years old,27% cases were less than 8 months old,59% cases were mild measles,27% cases were atypical measles,40% cases were misdiagnosed at first visit,and 67% cases of measles less than 8 months old were babies of vaccine immunized mother.Among the patients living in rural,68% cases had no vaccination,86% cases were at age of typical onset,61% cases were typical measles,7% cases were severe measles,and 28% cases were mild measles.Among all cases of measles,mild measles and atypical measles were as high as 41% and 16%,but typical measles were only 37%.In all patients,56% cases had typical measles rash,82% cases had Koplik′s spots,77% cases had typical onset of eruption,100% cases had higher fever in eruption stage,89% cases had typical downward sequence of eruption,93% cases had skin pigmentation,and 81% cases had desquamation. Conclusions Less than 8 months infants and single dose vaccinated pre-school children are newly susceptible group of measles.Mild measles and atypical measles markedly increased,with atypical clinical symptoms,variable rash and variant onset,but the character of aggravated fever in eruption stage scarcely changes.Infants of vaccine immunized mother and pre-school children are advised to vaccinate ahead of schedule.

Objective:To study the chemical constituents in the dried buds of Lonicera similis.Method:Chromatography and spectral analysis were used to isolate and elucidate the constituents.Result:Nine compounds were isolated from the dried buds of L． similis，and identified as caffeic acid；3，5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid；chlorogenic acid；palmitic acid；luteolin；quercetin；β-sitosterol；nonacosanol；nonacosane.Conclusion:All the compounds were isolated from the plant for the first time.

AIM To establish an HPLC-ELSD method for the simultaneous content determination of gastrodin,parishin A,parishin B,ginsenosides Rg1,Re,Rf,Rb1 and Rd in Tiantai No.1 Tablets (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma,Gastrodiae Rhizoma,Cistanches Herba,etc.).METHODS The analysis of methanol extract of this drug was performed on a 45 ℃C thermostatic Alltima C1scolumn (4.6 mm × 250 mm,5 μm),with the mobile phase comprising of acetonitrie-0.1％ phosphoric acid flowing at 1.0 mL/min in a gradient elution manner.RESULTS Eight constituents showed good linear relationships within their own ranges (r ＞ 0.999 0),whose average recoveries were 96.94％-97.93％ with the RSDs of 1.06％-2.48％.CONCLUSION This simple,accurate and reliable method can be used for the quality control of Tiantai No.1 Tablets.

Background Congenital blepharoptosis is a common disorder of eyelid movement.Overseas research showed that the most likely mechanism of congenital blepharoptosis is the hypoplasia of levator.But the study on Chinese is still lack.Objective This study was to investigate the pathological features of hypoplasia in levator aponeurosis in Chinese congenital blepharoptosis patients.Methods Twenty-one patients with congenital blepharoptosis were divided into mild group (3 cases),moderate group (14 cases) and severe group (4 cases).Samples of the levator aponeurosis were obtained during the levator palpebrae superioris muscle shortening surgery.Hematoxylin-eosin,special staining and immunohistochemistry were performed to analyze the characteristics of the samples.Normal samples of fresh levator aponeurosis were obtained from the donors in the eye bank of Beijign Tongren Hospital.Results Hematoxylin-eosin staining and special staining showed that with the increase of severity,the cases of levator fibers sparse,fibrous tissue hyperplasia and endomysium defect were gradually increased,showing significant differences among the different groups (Z =-0.702,P =0.002 ; Z =0.738,P ＜ 0.001 ; Z =0.746,P ＜ 0.001).Four samples (19％) presented with adipose in the interstitial tissue.Immunohistochemistry showed that the expression of muscle proteins myosin was weaker in the levator aponeurosis of patients with congenital blepharoptosis than that in the normal samples,and the expression intensity of collagen type Ⅲ in the samples enhanced in comparison with the normal samples.However,there were no significant differences in the expression of actin,myoglobin,fibronection,collagen type Ⅵ and laminin among various groups (all at P＞0.05).Conclusions The levator aponeurosis appears developing abnormality in Chinese patients with congenital blepharoptosis.The histopathological change degree is parallel with the severity of congenital blepharoptosis.
