Space Medicine & Medical Engineering 2005;18(3):157-160
Objective To evaluate the potential effect of HLF (Hawthorn leave flavonoids, w/w, 80% flavonoids) against thrombus formation, effect of HLF on hypoxia-treated human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVECs) was studied. Method The levels of cytotoxicity and NO upon HUVECs were studied by flow cytometry. Moreover, the level of calcium ion in HUVECs was examined through laser scanning confocal microscopy. Result Data from this study showed that HLF at concentrations of 5 μg/ml and 10 μg/ml decreased the cytotoxicity of hypoxia to HUVECs (P<0.05, P<0.01). The intracellular levels of NO and calcium ion were downregulated by HLF at concentrations of 5 μg/ml (P<0.01; P<0.01) and 10 μg/ml (vs control, P<0.01; P<0.01) too. Conclusion Results observed suggest that HLF protect HUVECs from hypoxia partly through its regulative effect on NO and calcium ion levels.

Journal of International Oncology 2009;36(12):940-943
The process of liver metastasis of colorectal cancer includes tumor cells invasion, survival in blood stream, extravasation to the liver and proliferation. It is involved in series of molecular markers, among which vascular endothelial growth factor and endothelial growth factor receptor are the major targets.
4.Value of prenatal dexamethasone treatment in the prevention of wet lung syndrome of the newborn
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2011;34(4):29-31
Objective To explore the effect of the prenatal dexamethasone treatment on the preventionof wet lung syndrome in the newborn of elective caesarean section at term. Methods Two hundred cases of elective caesarean section at term (the gestation age was less than 39 weeks) were divided into observation group and control group, with 100 cases in each by random digits table. Observation group was treated with four intramuscular injections of 6 mg dexamethasone in the 24 hours to 7 days before delivery, and control group was treated with 0.9% sodium chloride injection with the same method. The clinical data and the incidence of the wet lung syndrome of the newborn were collected. Results The incidence of the wet lung syndrome of the newborn was 1%(1/100) in observation group and 9%(9/100) in control group, and the incidence of the severity of the wet lung syndrome of the newborn was 1% ( 1/100) in observation group and 2%(2/100) in control group. There were no complication in observation group and 1 case in control group. The incidence and the severity of the wet lung syndrome of the newborn in observation group were less than that in control group significantly (P = 0.009,0.049). Conclusion Prenatal dexamethasone treatment can reduce the incidence of the wet lung syndrome of the newborn and decrease the incidence of the severity and complication of elective caesarean section at term.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(05):-
Objective:To explore the factors influencing colonization of Mutans streptococci (MS) on teeth of children. Methods:Dental colonization of MS was investigated in 123 children aged from 7 to 42 months in Beijing. Oral examination was performed. Information of nursing habits, diet history etc. was obtained from parent questionnaires. Results:Logistic regression analysis showed that the number of erupted teeth and the intake of sugar-containing food were positively related with MS colonization, their WALD values were 17.411(P=0.000) and 5.637(P=0.018) respectively,OR values were 3.287 and 2.739 respectively. Conclusion:The main factors influencing the colonization of MS were the number of erupted teeth and the intake of sugar-containing food.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(04):-
The incidence of venous thromboembolism(VTE) including deep venous thrombosis(DVT) and pulmonary embolism(PE) increases exponentially with age. Age is an independent risk factor, acute and chronic diseases and factors affecting blood coagulation and anticoagulation equilibrium are also associated with VTE. Homocysteine may be an independent risk factor for occlusive vascular disease. The author summarized the risk factor, mechanism of action, diagnosis and therapy of VTE.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Laboratory Science 2017;35(4):246-249
Objective To explore the effects of aspirin on formation and dispersion of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P.aeruginosa) biofilm. Methods The broth microdilution method was used to detect the minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC) of aspirin for P.aeruginosa.The anti-biofilm effects of aspirin on P.aeruginosa were determined on the microtiter plates combined with crystal violet staining. The serial dilution method for counting colony number on microtiter plate was used to explore the effects of aspirin on initial adherence of P.aeruginosa.Results The MIC values of aspirin against PAO1,PA18,PA53 and PA67 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were 5,2.5,5 and 5 mg/mL respectively.Aspirin significantly inhibited the formation and dispersion of the biofilm of PAO1 and PA18 strains (t =5.65,P < 0.05 and t =5.06,P < 0.05 for inhibition;t =6.45,P < 0.05 and t =6.26,P < 0.05 for dispersion) at the concentration of 2.5 mg/mL.Similar effects were also found in the determination for PA67 and PA53 strains(t =6.45,P <0.05 and t =6.26,P < 0.05 for inhibition;t =7.82,P < 0.05;t =9.18,P < 0.05 for dispersion) at aspirin concentration of 1.25 and 0.313 mg/mL respectively.Aspirin inhibited the initial adherence of P.aeruginosa at the concentration of 2.5 mg/mL(P <0.05).Conclusion Aspirin could significantly inhibit the initial adherence and biofilm formation of P.aeruginosa and disperse the 24 hour-formed mature bioiflm.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2017;33(6):749-753
Anhedonia, or markedly diminished interest or pleas-ure, is a hallmark symptom of depression. As a psychopathological symptom, anhedonia was first noted in the early 19th century. The neurobiological mechanisms that underline anhedonia and its role in diagnosing depression disorder or evaluating antidepressant response have long been aroused attention for nearly a century.Consequently, there are many measuring methods established in both the animal study and human research, which would be reviewed in the present study.

Objective To investigate the clinical application of subaxillary curved mini-incision thoracotomy in thoracic operations. Methods Through a subaxillary curved mini-incision between the latissimus dorsi muscle and the serratus anterior muscle (length of incision, 8~14 cm), thoracic operations were performed in 65 patients with thoracic diseases, including pneumothorax or hemopneumothorax (13 patients), pulmonary benign tumor (23 patients), mediastinal tumor (4 patients), and esophageal benign or malignant tumor and cardiac cancer (25 patients). Results All the patients were successfully operated on. No surgery-related deaths occurred. The incidence of complications was 6.2% (4/65), including pleural effusion in 1 patient, pulmonary infection in 2 patients, and anastomotic leakage of esophagogastrostomy in 1 patient. Conclusions Subaxillary curved mini- incision thoracotomy, characterized by minimal invasion, little blood loss, mild influence on cardiopulmonary functions, quick recovery, and good cosmetic outcomes, is an ideal option for the treatment of thoracic diseases.
