Objective To study the immunodiagnostic potential of recombinant membrane protein Tetraspanin 2 of Schistosoma japonicum(rSjTsp2) as a diagnostic antigen. Methods The rSjTsp2 was expressed and purified as an antigen used in indirect ELISA to detect specific serum antibody against Schistosoma japonicum of rabbits that at different stages of infection, and the results were compared with those of ELISA using natural antigen (AWA) as antigen. Results The sensitivities of rSjTsp2-ELISA were 75.4% (46/61),77.6% (45/58) and 81.5% (44/54), respectively, 2, 4, 6 weeks after rabbits were infected with Schistosoma japonicum, meanwhile the sensitivities of AWA-ELISA were 68.9% (42/61),86.2% (50/58) and 88.9% (48/54), respectively. The sensitivity difference of two methods was not significant statistically (x2 = 0.652, 1.454,1.174, all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions The rSjTsp2 is expressed successfully in vitro, and rSjTsp2 recombinant protein expressed in prokaryotic system has a certain application potential in immunodiagnosis.

The serum levels of visceral adipose tissue-derived serine protease inhibitor (vaspin)were measured in 65 elderly type 2 diabetic patients with carotid atherosclerosis( T2DM + CA group), 63 elderly type 2 diabetic patients without carotid atherosclerosis (T2DM group ) and 55 normal elderly individuals( NC group)by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The results showed that the serum vaspin levels in T2DM + CA group were significantly lower than those in T2DM group[(0. 23 ± 0. 13 ) μg/L vs.(0. 41±0. 16)μg/L, P ＜0. 01]. The serum vaspin levels in T2DM + CA group and T2DM group were significantly lower than those in NC group respectively[(0. 63 ± 0. 11 ) μg/L, P ＜ 0. 01 and P ＜ 0. 05].Logistic regression analysis showed that high sensitivety C-reactive protein and Homeostasis Model Assessment insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) were negatively correlated with serum vaspin levels,which indicates that lower serum vaspin levels might be associated with the pathogenesis of carotid atherosclerosis in elderly type 2 diabetic patients.

OBJECTIVE:To observe therapeutic efficacy and safety of Zhenqi fuzheng granules in the adjunctive treatment of cervical cancer. METHODS:86 patients with cervical cancer were randomly divided into control group(43 cases)and observation group (43 cases). Control group was given intravenous dripping of Diphenhydramine hydrochloride injection 20 mg,Granisetron hydrochloride and glucose injection 5 mg,Cimetidine injection 20 mg at 0.5 h before chemotherapy. After 0.5 h of intravenous drip-ping,the patients received chemotherapy:Docetaxel injection 40 mg/m2,d1,d8,intravenous dripping;Cisplatin for injection 25 mg/m2,d1-3,intravenous dripping;21 d as a cycle,a total of 4-6 cycles. On the basis of control group,observation group was addi-tionally given Zhenqi fuzheng granules 5 g,twice 2 day. Clinical efficacies of 2 groups were observed as well as T cell subsets in-dexes [CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,natural killer cell(NK)],KPS scores,termination,terminal time,the times of chemotherapy and the oc-currence of toxic reaction before and after treatment. RESULTS:The total remission rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group;the proportion of termination of chemotherapy in observation group was significantly lower than control group;terminal time of chemotherapy was significantly shorter than control group;the times of chemotherapy was signifi-cantly more than control group;the incidence of gastrointestinal reaction,anemia,thrombocytopenia and leukopenia were signifi-cantly lower than control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in liver function dam-age,renal function injury and stomatitis between 2 groups (P>0.05). Before treatment,there was no statistical significance in T cell subsets indexes and KPS scores between 2 groups(P>0.05). After treatment,CD3+,CD4+ and NK cells in observation group were significantly higher than before treatment and control group,while CD8+ was significantly lower than before treatment and control group;KPS scores of 2 groups were significantly higher than before,and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in T cell subsets indexes of con-trol group before and after treatment(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:On the basis of routine treatment,Zhenqi fuzheng granules can improve therapeutic efficacy,immune function and the quality of life,moreover,reduce toxic reaction in patients with cervical can-cer.

Objective:To analyze the lymphocyte activation from patients with different activities of multiple sclerosis (MS) and its clinical signifiance. Methods: The positive percentage of CD69 and HLA-DR were determined on peripheral blood (PB) or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) lymphocytes by flow cytometry from 28 patients with relapsing-remitting MS (relapses n - 20, remission n = 8) , 12 patients with relapse MS and 11 patients with relapse MS after glucocorticoid treatment. ResultS:The percentage of HLA-DR+ and CD3+ /HLA-DR+ on PB lymphocytes in relapses MS group were higher than in remission MS group and controls. The percentage of CD3+ /HLA-DR+ on PB lymphocytes in remission MS group were higher than in controls. The percentage of CD69+ , HLA-DR+ and CD3+ /HLA-DR+ were higher in CSF than in PB of patients with relapse MS. There was no significant correlation between the levels of CD69+ , HLA-DR+ , CDS+ /HLA-DR+ and the time of onset of clinical relapse, duration, clinical disability scale score(EDSS) . In patients with relapse MS, there was significant positive correlation between CD69+ expression on CSF lymphocytes and blood brain barrier damage, intravenous glucocorticoid treatment caused a significant changes in the positive percentage of HLA-DR on PB lymphocytes. Conclusion:The findings support that lymphocyte activation involvement of MS pathogenesis. Lymphocyte activation may be as a marker of disease activity in MS.

Objective To explore the trend of mortality and years of life lost due to Esophageal Cancer in residents in Tieling,so as to provide the basis data on preventing Esophageal cancer in Tieling.Methods The data of residents in Tieling dying of Esophageal cancer from 2007 to 2015 was collected and cleared up to calculate the evaluation indexes including the mortality rate,the average percentage change of mortality rate.GM(1,1) model was used to predict the future mortality.Results From 2007 to 2015,the Average Esophageal cancer Mortality Rate of in residents in Tieling was 5.26 per 100000 persons,and especially 1.95％ raised a year.The Mortality Rate would increase from 2016 to 2019.Conclusion Tieling Esophageal Cancer mortality rate is on the rise,especially for elder men more than 60.So that the proper prevention measures should be car ried and strengthened.
