Objective:To detect the expression of cyclin B 1 in human ameloblastoma(AB). Methods:Expression of cyclin B1 was detected in 73 cases of AB (32 primary, 33 recurrent and 8 malignant cases), 19 of odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) and 7 of normal oral mucosa by streptovidin-biotin method. Results:The ratio of positive nuclear expression of cyclin B 1 in normal oral mucosa, OKC and AB was 28.6%(2/7), 36.8%(7/19) and 63.0%(46/73) respectively (P

A complex disease is rarely a consequence of abnormality in a single gene. It is known that many drugs exhibit a therapeutic effect by acting on multiple targets, produce synergies to intervene the occurrence and development of diseases. Unlike the traditional methods which act on single molecule or pathway, this disease-drug target network constructed with high throughput data vividly showed the complex relationship between drugs, their targets and diseases. However, the networks are usually extremely complex. In order to reduce the complexity, it is necessary to deconstruct the network and identify module structures. In this study, framework of module analysis was summarized from four aspects: module concept, structure and identification methods, importance of disease-drug module identification, and its application. Module-based analysis provides a new perspective for deciphering the drug intervention mechanisms for complex diseases, and provides new ideas and pathways to reveal the mechanisms of multi-target and multi-component drugs.

ostic sensitivity and specificity of EUS are high in distinguishing benign and malignant character of upper digestive tract GIMTs. EUS plays an important role in guiding the clinical management of upper digestive tract GIMTs.

Objective To explore the changes of high-sensitivity C reactive protein(hs-CRP) and platelet parameter levels in newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE)and its clinical significance. Methods Thirty-five infants with HIE and 16 healthy newborns were selected as study cases and controls respectively by automantc biochemistry analyzer.Serum hs-CRP content was measured by reaction rate method;Platelet parameter levels were detected by collecting blood samples from peripheral vascular of heel, and the activity of creatine kinase(CK),creatine phosphokinase isoenzyme(CK-MB),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),alpha-hydroxybntyric dehydrogenase(?-HBDH),alanine transaminase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST) were assayed as well. Results 1.The hs-CRP levels in newborns with HIE increased obviously in acute stage, and significant difference were observed compared with controls(P0.05).2.PLT in newborns with HIE decreased significantly in acute stage compared with that of controls(P0.05).3.The values of CK,CK-MB,LDH,?-HBDH,AST,ALT in newborns with HIE were significantly higher than those in controls in acute stage(P

Objective To investigate the clinical manifestations and treatment regiment of children with juvenile dermatomyositis(JDM).Methods The clinical manifestation, changes of serum muscale enzyme, myopathic laboratory examination, treatment and prognosis of 15 children with JDM retrospectively admitted from Jan.1990 to Jan.2004 were analyzed. Results All of the children had symmetrical weakness of the proximal muscles. The most frequent features were heliotrope and Gottron's papules.Elevated muscle enzymes were noted in all cases.Electromyography revealed typical change of myopathic type and muscle biopsy was compalible with myositis in all cases. Most of patients achieved normal muscle enzymes within 1 month and had improved muscle strength with 2.5 monthes of the initiation of corticosteroid therapy. Conclusion It is very important to know the clinical features of JDM,and prompt diagnosis and treatment will result in an improved prognosis.

Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), multipotent stem cells, can replicate as undifferentiated cells and have the potential to differentiate into different lineages of mesenchymal tissues, including bone, cartilage, endothelial, neural, smooth muscle, skeletal myoblasts, and cardiac myocyte cells. The ischemia-induced death of cardiomyocytes results in scar formation and reduced contractility of the ventricle. Several preclinical and clinical studies have supported the notion that MSCs therapy may be used for cardiac regeneration. When transplanted into the infracted heart, MSCs prevent deleterious remodeling and improve recovery, but the mechanism is not clear. In this work,we review evidence and new prospects that support the use of MSCs in cardiomyoplasty.
