AlM:To explore the clinical effects of using rigid gas permeable contact lens ( RGP ) for refractoriness amblyopia patients.
METHODS: Ninety - eight cases ( 98 eyes ) were voluntarily divided into RGP group and frame glasses group, and the two groups were received the regularity combined training to treat amblyopia for 6mo. We overviewed the corrected vision (on that day, 1, 3, 6mo) and the complication in RGP group .
RESULTS: The corrected vision in RGP group was obviously better than that in control group during the same time. The therapeutic efficacy in RGP group was better than that in frame glasses group, without serious complications at 6mo after treatment.
CONCLUSlON: RGP groups could get better corrected visual acuity. lt is safe and effective to improve corrected vision for refractoriness amblyopia patients.
2.Clinical Characteristics of Extrapulmonary Complication Induced by Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Infection Complicating with Infectious Mononucleosis Syndrome
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(16):-
Objective To approach the clinical characteristics of extrapulmonary complication induced by mycoplasma pneumoniae(MP) infection and infectious mononucleosis syndrome. Methods The MP-IgM(+), EBV- IgM(+) were determined by enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay. There were 18 cases infected with MP and infectous mononucleosis syndrome with abnormal fever, cervix lyphadenectasis, pharyngitis, liver and spleen intumescence, lung infection, and so on.They were analyzed by reviewing. Results There were 8 cases(44.4%) with extrapulmonary complication, among them 3 cases(16.6%) with liver injury,1 case (5.56%) with heart injury,2 cases(11.1%) with both heart and liver injuries,1 case(5.56%) with urinary system injury (nephritis), 1 case (5.56%) with nervous system injury (encephalitis). The complication usually arised 1 week after primary affection, but had no typical clinical symptoms. There was only 1 case with encephalitis who expressed the symptom of nervous system symptom firstly, and was clinically dia- gnosed by assistant examinations. All the cases recovered after 3 weeks′ treatment with macrolides, 5-7 days with ganciclovir, and also with regular complication and support treatments. Conclusions The incidence of extrapulmonary complication induced by MP infection and infectous mononucleosis syndrome is higher than that by the single infection, and its clinical symptom isn′t obvious and is easy to be covered by original illness. And a few showing the extrapulmonary as the first symptom is easily mistakenly diagnosed .As a result, the prognosis is favorable if we make subsidiary inspection and diagnosis as soon as possible and give it with regular treatment.
3.Study on effect of total matrines and extracts from Periplaneta americana on negative endometrial cancer cell JEC of progesterone receptors.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(11):2210-2213
To study the effect of total matrines and extracts from Periplaneta americana on negative endometrial cancer cell JEC of progesterone receptors. After detecting the effect of total matrine, extracts from P. americana and their combination on JEC cells' growth inhibition, cell cycle, P53 and c-erbB-2 gene protein expressions through MTT, flow cytometry instrument and Western blot method, the author found that, (1) MTT: total matrines and extracts from P. americana could inhibit the growth of JEC cell, with significant increase in the inhibitory effect in the combination group. (2) Flow cytometry instrument: the cell cycle at G0/G1 increased after the treatment with total matrines, the cell cycle at G2/M increased after the treatment with extracts from periplaneta americana, and the ratio of G0/G1 cell cycle in the combination group was significantly higher than the other groups, with inhibition in cell growth and statistical difference in inter-group comparison (P < 0.05). (3) Western blot: the expression level of P53 increased and c-erbB-2 decreased after the treatment with total matrines, extracts from P. americana and their combination on JEC cell, with statistical difference in inter-group comparison (P < 0.05). The above results suggested that total matrines, extracts from P. americana and their combination could induce cell cycle arrest and inhibit the growth of JEC cell by up-regulating P53 and down-regulating the c-erbB-2 level.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(2):139-144
OBJECTIVETo evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture-moxibustion combined with modified Mojie tablet (see text) in the prevention of the recurrence of endometriosis (EMS) after laparoscopic surgery.
METHODSAfter laparoscopic surgery, 120 cases of EMS were randomized into an acupuncture-moxibustion group, a western medication group, a Chinese medication group and a combined therapy of acupuncture-moxibustion and Chinese medication group (combined therapy group), 30 cases in each one. In the acupuncture-moxibustion group, acupuncture was applied at Xuehai (SP 10), Sanyinjiao (SP 6) and Guanyuan (CV 4); the isolated moxibustion with ginger was used at Guanyuan (CV 4), once a day, twice a week. In the western medication group, gestrinone was prescribed for oral administration, 2.5 mg, once a day, twice a week. In the Chinese medication group, the self-prepared Mojie tablet were prescribed for oral administration. In the combined therapy group, acupuncture, moxibustion and modified Mojie tablet for oral administration were used in combination. The therapeutic methods were same as the acupuncture-moxibustion group and the Chinese medication group. Totally, the treatment of 3 months was required. Separately, before treatment, after treatment, in 3 months after treatment and in 6 months after treatment, EHP-5 score (endometriosis health profile-5), the abdominal/vaginal ultrasound examination, serum CA125 detection and safety index (ALT detection) were compared in patients among 4 groups.
RESULTSIn 3 and 6 months after treatment, the positive rates of EHP-5 score were 0% (0/30) in the combined therapy group and 0% (0/30) in the acupuncture-moxibuston group, which were all lower significantly than 13.3% (4/30) in the western medication group (both P < 0.05). In follow-up stage of 6 months after treatment, there was no recurrence case in abdominal lviginal ultrasound examination in the combined therapy group, which was lower than 13.3% (4/30) in the western medication group (P < 0.05); the serum CA125 detection in the combined therapy group did not find any abnormal case, which was lower than 16.7% (5/30) in the western medication group (P < 0.05). At the end of treatment session and in the follow-up stage of 3 months after treatment, the abnormal rate of ALT were 20.0% (6/30) and 13.3% (4/30) in the western medication group, which were higher than those in any of the rest groups (P < 0.05). In the follow-up stage of 6 months after treatment, there were 3 abnormal cases of ALT in the western medication group, but which was not different significantly as compared with the rest groups (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture and moxibustion combined with modified Mojie tablet effectively prevent from the recurrence of EMS after laparoscopic surgery and improve the life quality of the patients. This combined therapy brings less damage on the liver as compared with the western medication of gestrinone and indicates its definite efficacy and safety.

International Eye Science 2016;16(6):1176-1179
?AIM: To discuss the effect of laser exposure on visual acuity and macula.?METHODS: Retrospective and consecutive case series. A retrospective analysis of 11 patients (11 eyes) with laser retinal injury was carried out from January 2014 to June 2015 in Ophthalmology Department of No. 474 Hospital of Chinese PLA. All individuals underwent visual acuity, best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ) , and spectral-domain optical coherence tomography ( SD-OCT) for macular at first visit, and fundus fluorescein angiography ( FFA ) , visual field, and multifocal electroretinogram ( mf ERG ) were perform if necessary. Symptomatic therapies, supportive therapies and pars plana vitrectomy ( PPV ) were performed depended on the patient’s condition. The patients were followed-up at 1, 3 and 6mo after the first visit, and patients were undertaken visual acuity, BCVA, macular SD-OCT and so on.?RESULTS: Eight patients ( 73%) were under 18 years old and all patients were young males, who were injured by laser pointers when playing. Three patients ( 27%) over 18 years old were injured accidentally at work. Ten (91%) patients’ BCVA were ≤0. 3, while one ( 9%) patient’s BCVA was higher ≥0. 3. Full-thickness macular holes ( the diameter 224-519 μm ) were detected in 10 patients (91%), while sub-foveal RPE changes and IS/OS injury in 1 patient ( 9%) . Macular hole with traction or cystoid edema in 6 eyes (55%) were received PPV, while the other 5 eyes ( 4 eyes with stable macular hole and 1 eyes with RPE injury ) received conservative treatment. Macular hole closed successfully in 1 eye ( 17%) after PPV, while macular hole in the other 5 eyes ( 83%) were stable after PPV of which the cystoid edema faded. The 4 patients with macular hole and 1 patient with RPE injury were stable during follow-up period. However, the BCVA in all patients had no significant improvement at end.?CONCLUSION: Exposure to laser devices could lead to severe macula injury that could reduce central vision, which is permanent.
9. Effect of crocin-1 on learning, memory, and expression of SIRT1 in hippocampus of rats under acute hypoxia
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2013;44(10):1314-1317
Objective: To investigate the effect of crocin-1 on behavior of learning and memory in rats under acute hypoxia and on the expression of silent information regulator l (SIRT1) in hippocampus of rats. Methods: SD rats were randomly divided into five groups: control, hypoxia model, low-, mid-, and high-dose (25, 50, and 100 mg/kg) crocin-1 groups. The SD rats in crocin-1 groups were im administered once daily for 3 d and then were stimulated for 72 h under hypoxia. Morris water maze was used to investigate the learning and memory behaviors. Immunohistochemical staining and Western blotting were used to detect the SIRT1 expression. Results: The escape latency in crocin-1 groups was shorter than that in hypoxia model group, while the frequency of bestriding platform was increased (P < 0.05). Immunohistochemical staining and Western blotting both showed that the expression level of SIRT1 was higher in crocin-1 groups than that in hypoxia model group (P < 0.05), and the expression levels in mid- and high-dose groups were obviously higher. Conclusion: Crocin-1 could increase the expression of SIRT1 in hippocampus of rats, which maybe one of the important mechanisms for crocin-1 improving learning and memory function of SD rats under acute hypoxia.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2021;39(4):297-303
Objective:To analyze the effect of glucocorticoid on the biological function of lens epithelial cells (LECs) by bioinformatics and predict related microRNA (miRNA).Methods:GSE3040 database was downloaded and the human LECs line (HLE-B3) cells in the experimental group were treated with 1 μmol/L dexamethasone, and HLE-B3 cells in the control group were treated with 1 μmol/L dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO).GEO2R was used to analyze the differentially expressed genes between the two groups.Metascape website was employed to analyze the functional enrichment of differentially expressed genes, and EdU cell proliferation assay was performed to detect the difference in cell proliferation between the two groups.STRING website and cytoscape software were used to construct protein-protein interaction network.Hub genes were calculated by cytohubba app, and quantitative real-time PCR was performed to detect the expression levels of hub genes between the two groups.MirCode website was used to predict the related miRNAs.Results:A total of 341 differentially expressed genes were detected between the experimental group and the control group, among which there were 300 up-regulated genes and 41 down-regulated genes. SLC12A1, MED13L, ALDH5A1, SLC15A3 and WWC1 were the top five down-regulated genes and SCNN1A, ANKRD36, FKBP5, PYY and ADH1B were the top five up-regulated genes. The top 20 terms of functional enrichment were listed, and the negative regulation of HLE-B3 cells proliferation showed the most enrichment.Cell proliferation rate in the experimental group was (8.09±0.20)%, which was significantly lower than (39.63±0.80)% in the control group ( t=38.43, P<0.01).The top ten hub genes were SST, CXCL8, GRM1, GNRH1, CXCL5, PPBP, CX3CR1, PYY, EDNRA and GRK5, and quantitative real time PCR confirmed that the expression levels of SST, CXCL8, GRM1, PYY, EDNRA and GRK5 mRNA were statistically different (all at P<0.05).The top six miRNAs which might be associated with hub genes were miR-15abc, miR-214, miR-23abc, miR-129-5p, miR-132 and miR-24. Conclusions:The 1 μmol/L glucocorticoid can negatively regulate the proliferation of HLE-B3 cells. SST, CXCL8, GRM1, PYY, EDNRA and GRK5 may be hub genes and miR-15abc, miR-214, miR-23abc, miR-129-5p, miR-132, miR-24 are most likely to relate to them.
