Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(21):-
Objective To investigate the relationship between children history of asthma and family history of asthma. Methods Three thousand and five hundred outpatients of asthma children were selected as investigation subjects.Family history of asthma was investigated in the form of questionnaire, and analyzed them from whether or not having family history of asthma, the first and second degree relative having family history of asthma. Results There was no family history of asthma in 1 659 cases(47.4%) and while 1 841 cases had family history of asthma(52.6%).The children who had family history of asthma were slightly more than those who had no family history of asthma.Among the 1 841 cases with family history of asthma, the first degree relatives with family history of asthma were more than those second degree relatives with fa-mily history of asthma. The incidence rate of relatives with family history of asthma on mother′s side was 59.9%,and the incidence rate of the father′s relatives was 40.1%.The incidence rate of mother′s relatives was higher than that of father′s relatives(P

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2003;0(10):-
Objective To explore the occurrence of diaphragmatic muscle fatigue(DMF) in children with pneumonia and its relationship with respiratory failure. Methods One hundred and twenty-six cases of pneumonia(pneumonia group) and 60 healthy children(healthy control group) were selected, and 2K-V1 type intelligence electric impedance respirograph was used to measure diaphragmatic function of the children in both groups to find if the ribcage-abdomen motion was synchronic and to calculate M levels. The abdomen impedance values as X-axis were calculated, which were regarded, and the chest impedance values as Y-axis were calcaulated, which described two-dimensional chart of ribcage-abdomen motion curve and the ? angle which was between connection of maximum X value to the smallest X value and the X-axis were calculated.According to the changes of chest-abdominal curve in one-dimensional chart and the changes of M value and ? angle, the degree of the diaphragmatic muscle fatigue was judged. Results There were 98 cases of DMF in the 126 children with pneumonia, and 68 cases of which were type Ⅰ DMF,and 30 cases were type Ⅱ DMF.One-dimensional chart showed contradictory chest-abdominal respiratory motional curve, and two-dimensional chart moved in a clockwise direction.M value was(46.1?8.4)%,? angle was(136.7?12.0) degrees in children with type Ⅰ DMF;One-dimensional chart showed that the peak value of chest-abdominal respiratory motional curve dislocates, and two-dimensional chart moved in a counter-clockwise direction.M value was(17.2 ? 3.2)%,? angle was(48.2 ? 9.5) degrees in children with type Ⅱ DMF;the control group had M value(4.3 ? 1.0)%,? angle was(31.7 ? 5.2) degree. There were significant differences in M value and ? angle between type Ⅰ DMF children, type Ⅱ DMF children and healthy children(Pa

To study the cellular pathophysiological change in kidney IMCD cell under respiratory acid base disorders. 3% or 10% CO 2 was used to initiate chronic respiratory alkalosis(ALG) or chronic respiratory acidosis(ACG) of cultured rabbit IMCD cell. 5% CO 2 was used in control group(CG). Fluorescent probe was used to measure H + /K + exchange function of these cells. In situ hybridization and RT PCR were used to measure cH K ATPase mRNA expression of these cells. The results showed that H + /K + exchange in ACG was significantly higher than that in CG ( P 0 05). It is suggested that chronic respiratory acidosis could induce an increase in H + /K + exchange function and cH K ATPase mRNA expression. However, chronic respiratory alkalosis could induce decreases in H + /K + exchange function and cH K ATPase mRNA expression with no statistical significance, the reason of which calls for further study.

The main form of the postgraduate medical training in China is residency standard-ized training, while the residency training system in some European and American developed countries is relatively mature. A review is presented on the programs of residency standardized training in Europe and America, concentrating on their strength and defects and reaching the conclusion that standard-ization, high-efficiency, personalization, socialization and internationalization can be the new trends in the development of residency standardized training in China.

AIM To establish the fluorescent measurement technique for H+ /K+ exchange in primary cultured IMCD cell monolayers of rabbit kidney. METHODS To measure H+ /K+ exchange in the primary cultured IMCD cell monolayers under different CO2 concentrations by the BCECF/AM fluorescent probe. RESULTS [pH], recovery rate after acid loaded in the respiratory acidosis group was 0.0620 ? 0.012, and was significantly higher than that of the control group (0.0504 ? 0.009, P 0.05). CONCLUSION The fluorescent measurements of H+ /K+ exchange in primary cultured IMCD cell monolayers of rabbit kidney has many benefits which are convenient manipulation, stable and credit result, economy and safety, this method should further be popularized.

Objective To simulate the mechanical environment of cells in vivo and study cellular signal transduction mechanisms. Methods A device was developed which could provide high cell yield, control the time, strain magnitude, direction and frequency of stretch, and applied 10% cyclic strain to cell culture substrate with stretch frequency at 1Hz. Results After being stretched, morphology and cytoskeleton of cells were altered. The major axis of cells and the alignment of stress fibers were vertical to the orientation of cyclic stretch. Conclusion This device provides versatile options for the study on the cellular responses of mechanical loading.

Objective To explore the feasibility of tubular model based segmentation method for cystic artery and three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction model of Calot's triangle. Methods A tubular model based 3D region growing algorithm was proposed for the segmentation of cystic arteries and its adjacent vessels from 13 patients' CT images in DICOM format. The data was transferred to 3D visualization workstation based on a set of CalotShow1.0 software for 3D reconstruction. Results The method could effectively segment cystic artery and obtain the 3D model of Calot's triangle. Conclusions The 3D reconstruction model based on tubular model related vessel segmentation method and CalotShow1.0 can accurately display the spatial positions and adjacent relationships of cystic artery and Calot's triangle.
