1.A Research on the Relationship Between Social Adjustment of College Students and Five-factor Personality

Objective:911 college students' from Xi'an were assessed in order to examine the relationship of college students' social adjustment and five-factor personality.Methods:The Chinese College Student Adjustment Scale(CCSAS)and the Five-factor Personality Inventory were used for investigation.Results:①Boys' interpersonal relationship was lower than girls',but satisfaction was higher than girls';social adjustment of freshmen was the best,but seniors' was the worst;②There were significant correlations between personality and social adjustment;③College students with different personality type had significant difference on social adjustment.Conclusion:There are significant correlations between personality and social adjustment;College students with different personality type have significant difference in social adjustment.
2.Study on the Identification and Potency Determination of L-asparaginases from 2 Kinds of Strain

OBJECTIVE: To discuss the identification method of L-asparaginases prepared from E.coliASI.357 and Erwinia carotovora and the optimal enzymatic reaction conditions of potency determination.METHODS: HPLC method and isoelectric focusing electrophoresis were applied for the identification of L-asparaginase from 2 kinds of strain.The effects of category of buffer solution and pH value on enzymatic reaction of potency determination of L-asparaginase were investigated.RESULTS: HPLC chromatogram of L-asparaginases from E.coli ASI.357 was different from that from Erwinia carotovora.The retention time of the peaks were 11.0 min and 11.8 min.The isoelectric point (PI) of L-asparaginase produced from E.coliASI.357 was within 4.65~5.1 and that produced from Erwinia carotovora was within 7.1~8.20.The optimal enzymatic reaction conditions of potency determination of L-asparaginase produced from E.coliASI.35 were Tris-HCl (pH=9.0) as buffer and that produced from Erwinia carotovora was 0.2 mol?L-1 phosphate (pH=8.0) as buffer.CONCLUSION: The isoelectric point (PI) of L-asparaginases produced from 2 kinds of strain is different from each other as well as their optimal enzymatic reaction conditions of potency determination.The L-asparaginases from 2 kinds of strains should be controlled as 2 different categories.
3.Clinical Efficacy of Recombined Human Keratinocyte Growth Factor Variant for Alkali Burn in Rabbit

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of recombined human keratinocyte growth factor variant (K102) on corneal alkali burn in rabbit. METHODS: 60 New Zealand rabbits were randomized to 5 groups. Corneal alkali burn models were made and in the left eyes of the rabbits with 1 mol?L-1 NaOH solution. Then the trial groups (groups A, B and C) were treated with 0.5, 0.25, 0.125 mg?mL-1 K102 eye drops, respectively; group D (positive control group) with bFGF eye drops, and group E (negative control group) with solvent of K102 eye drops. The rate of corneal reepithelialization and the area of neovascularization (CNV) were observed under microscope. 4.Recombinant human keratinocyte growth factor variant for mechanical corneal injury in rabbits

Objective To investigate the effect of recombinant human keratinocyte growth factor variant(K102) on mechanical corneal injury in rabbits.Methods Mechanical corneal injury was made in 108 rabbits surgically.K102 eye drop was given respectively at dose of 0.5,0.25,0.125 mg/ml,taking Beifushu eye drops and Dexamethasone sodium phosphate eye drops as the positive control,and K102 eye drop solvent as the blank control;4 times per day.Corneal haze was determined with slit lamp microscope and the histopathological changes were observed under light and electron microscope.Results Three months after operation,the corneal haze was less severe and the average number of corneal cells in shallow 50 ?m corneal basement was less than that in Beifushu group and blank group after 0.5 mg/ml K102 treatment.The results of light and electron microscopy showed the epithelial hypertrophy,disorders of cells and collagen arrangement after 0.5 mg/ml K102 treatment were much lighter than that in Beifushu group and blank group.Conclusion Local application of K102 eye drops reduces the number of stromal keratocyte,then effectively inhibits corneal haze at early stage after mechanical corneal injury in rabbits.
5.Research progress in stem/progenitor cells derived from human placenta

Placental tissues have many cell types with stem/progenitor cell potential and immunomodulatory properties. Moreover, placental tissue is readily available and easily procured without invasive procedures, and its use does not elicit ethical debate. Thus, placental tissue has been a key focus in studies of searching a new source of human stem/progenitor cells. Most of the research published in this area focuses on mesenchymal stromal cells isolated from various parts of the placenta or epithelial cells isolated from amniotic membrane. Considering the complexity of the placenta, an urgent need exists to define the region of origin and methods of isolation of cells derived from this tissue.

Xuangan Oral Liquid can increase blood platelets to a normal level in mice with thrombocytopenia induced by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. It was shown that Xuangan Oral Liquid can reduce blood coagulation time in mice through capillary and tail-cutting methods, and the difference between control group and treatment group is significant.

9.Preliminary experience of metatarsophalangeal arthroplasty with silicon Swanson prosthesis

Objective To evaluate the short-term results of total metatarsophalangeal arthroplasty (TMPA) for OA, RA, hallux valgus with severe OA, hallux rigidus, and osteonecrosis of metatarsal heads. Methods From March 2002 to March 2005, total metatarsophalangeal arthroplasty was performed in 30 patients (11 males and 19 females, age from 33 to 77 years old, average 62.5 years old) and 47 feet. Fifteen were bilateral. The preoperative underlying diagnosis was RA in 7, hallux rigidus in 5, hallux valgus with severe OA in 21, avascular osteonecrosis in second metatarsal head in 6, old metatarsophalangeal dislocation in 2, complications after McBride operation in 2 feet. Totally, 33 first metatarsoplangeal joints, 11 second metatarsophalangeal joints, 2 third metatarsophalangeal joints and 1 fourth metatarsophalangeal joint were replaced with metal bushed silicon Swanson prostheses. Two patients (4 feet) with abnormal first-second intermetetarsal angle (19?-20?) received simultaneous proximal metatarsal osteotomy. The osteotomed metatarsal were fixed with Biofix absorbable screws. Two patients (3 feet) received simultaneous metatarsal head (2-5) resection arthroplasty. Twenty-nine (46 feet) were followed-up for average 26.5 (3-36) months with Maryland metatarsal joint scoring system. Oriented by the Maryland scoring system, pain, joint function, and objective messurements were recorded and scored. Results The preoperative and postoperatvie Maryland score was 72 (55-82) and 91 (67-96), respectively. Excellent result was achieved in 41 feet (89.13%), good in 2 feet(4.35%), fair in 2 feet(4.35%), and poor in 1 foot(2.17%). The good-excellent result rate in this group was 93.48%. The complications included: delayed wound union in 2 feet, implant dislocation in 1 foot, reactive synovitis in 1 foot. Conclusion The short-term result of total metatarsophalangeal arthroplasty for treatment of OA, RA, hallux rigidus, old dislocation of metatarsophalangeal and avascular osteonecrosis of metatarsal heads is satisfying.

High - risk corneal transplantation immunological rejection is a primary factor affecting the success or failure of the corneal transplantation. As a result, application of immunosuppressive agent in high - risk corneal transplantation rejection reaction occupies an irreplaceable position. However, many local and systemic adverse reactions appeared in the process of application. In order to improve the achievement ratio of the corneal transplantation, experts and scholars at home and abroad have obtained remarkable achievements in dosage form, route of administration and drug combination;meanwhile, a considerable progress was also made in genetic engineering. This paper is a review of prevention and treatment on high - risk corneal graft rejection reaction.
