Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(11):-
Objective To investigate the role of compound traditional Chinese medicine Yiqilin in the regulation of immune-related genes expression in spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHR).Methods Ten SHR were randomly divided into test group(fed with Yiqilin and ordinary food at the ratio of 1:9 for 6 months,n=5)and control group(fed with ordinary food for 6 months,n=5).Total RNA was extracted from myocardial tissues of SHR after 6 months, and gene chip hybridization technique was employed to analyse the expression of immune-regulated genes of myocardial tissues in two groups. The genes with differentiation expression were screened, and were verified by Real-time PCR.Results The expression of 32 immune-related genes were up-regulated in the test group, including interleukin(IL)6 receptor,IL-6 signal transduction factor, chemotatic factor, antigen presenting molecule, antibody receptor, heat shock protein(Hsp), etc.No immune-related gene was down-regulated in test group. The results of 2 immune-related genes(Hsp 105 and Hsp 90)detected by Real-time PCR were consistent with those by gene chip hybridization. Conclusion Part of the immune-related genes in myocardial tissues in SHR may be up-regulated by Yiqiling, which indicates that Yiqiling may play a role in the regulation of expression of immune-related genes in SHR.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(08):-
Zymonomas mobilis was transformed with a polyhydroxybutyrate synthesis operon phbCAB equipped with a pdc promoter from Z. mobilis. For the first time,PHB was produced in recombinant Z.mobilis. Shake flask studies indicated that accumulation of PHB in Zymomonas mobilis increased approximately 10% ethanol productivity for the first 48h of anaerobic fermentation. After that, the PHB effect was observed as insignificant probably due to the exhaustion of the sugar.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2019;17(4):284-288
Objective: To review the problems existing in the development and application of current electroacupuncture (EA) apparatuses, and provide reference for the development of EA apparatuses. Methods: Related literatures about EA apparatus were derived from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Academic Journal Full-text Database (Wanfang) and Chongqing VIP Database (CQVIP) between 2013 and 2017. Literatures about the development of EA apparatuses and the application for experimental research and clinical treatment published in Chinese journals were retrieved, and the development and application of EA apparatuses were summarized. Results: Among the 107 selected literatures, 48 types of EA apparatuses were used, of which only 11 models could be found in the registration list and within the validity period. There was no registration information for the EA apparatus newly developed in the past 5 years. The EA parameters used in experimental research and clinical treatment in Chinese medicine were different, and the combination of stimulation parameters was diverse. Conclusion: At present, most of the new EA products are still in the experimental or research stage, and the transformation of results has not yet been achieved. Moreover, there is no unified standard for the use of EA apparatus and its stimulation parameters in experimental research and clinical treatment, which is not conducive to the standardization process of EA stimulation.

BACKGROUND:Ligustrazine has been shown to restore the function of the femoral headviathe revascularization, increased blood flow, theabsorption ofnecroticbone, and bone regeneration. OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of ligustrazine on remodeling of periodontal tissues and the expression of osteoprotegerin in the maintenance phase in rats with orthodontic tooth movement. METHODS:Thirty-two healthy male Wistar rats were included and equaly randomized into four groups. Maxilary left first molar mesialization was performed through traction of 50 g force for 21 days to establish the rat model of tooth movement. 5, 10, 15 mg/L ligustrazine (50 μL) were localy injected into the first molar periosteum in model rats on the day before removing the orthodontic forcing device. Same volume of saline was injected in the control group. The injection was administered every other day. At 1 and 4 weeks after injection, the distance of tooth movement, the recurrence distances and percentage were determined and calculated. The pathological changes in periodontal tissues were observed by immunohistochemistry and hematoxylin-eosin staining. The width ofthe parodontium and number of osteoblasts were observed under an optical microscope. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The recurrence distance inthecontrol group was increased compared withtheexperimental group, while the number of osteoblasts and osteoprotegerin immunoreactivity were decreased. Good width of the parodontium and smal recurrence trend were found in 10mg/L ligustrazine group. These findings indicate that ligustrazine promotes the proliferation of osteoblasts and enhances the expression of osteoprotegerin, which is beneficial to the retention of teeth after orthodontic surgery.
