Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of hospital admission cases with chemical poisoning in Guangdong Province from 2016 to 2020. Methods Data of hospital admissions for chemical poisoning in Guangdong Province from 2016 to 2020 were collected through Guangdong Province Health Statistics Network Reporting System，and descriptive analysis was conducted. The seasonal characteristics of the number of hospitalized poisoning cases were analyzed by the concentration method，the seasonal index（SI）was calculated by the weighted annual ratio averaging method，and the spatial auto-correlation of regional poisoning trend was analyzed by the global and local spatial autocorrelation. Results From 2016 to 2020，the number of hospital admissions for chemical poisoning in Guangdong Province was 54 656，showing a general decreasing trend. The sex ratio（male to female）was 0.90 ∶1.00. The top three types of hospitalization rates were carbon monoxide poisoning，alcohol poisoning and organic solvent poisoning. The main poisoning groups were students and children， farmers，workers and unemployed people，accounting for 31.74%，18.53%，13.91% and 10.39%，respectively. The 74.37% of poisoning cases were cured or improved and discharged，and the case fatality rate was 0.48%. The top three hospitalization rates in age group of 0-<5 years were organic solvent，metal and carbon monoxide poisoning. The hospitalization rate of carbon monoxide poisoning ranked the first among all age groups of ≥5 years. The top three regions with the highest average annual hospitalization rate were Shaoguan City （25.14/105 ），Qingyuan City （17.04/105 ） and Meizhou City （16.09/105 ）. Carbon monoxide poisoning had a strong seasonality（M=0.77），with high incidence months of January，February and December（SI were 3.60，3.08 and 2.48，respectively）. The inpatients with chemical poisoning showed non-random distribution and spatial correlation（all P<0.01），with a high-high clustering among 13 districts and counties in northern Guangdong（all P<0.05）. Conclusion The number of hospital admission cases of chemical poisoning showed an overall decreasing trend in Guangdong Province from 2016 to 2020. The main types of poisoning were carbon monoxide poisoning，alcohol poisoning and organic solvent poisoning. The spatial distribution of chemical poisoning types showed spatial correlation and there were high-high clustering areas.

Results Positive immunostaining of VEGF-C in esophageal cancer tissue was 63.1%,The expression of VEGF-C in tissue was significantly associated with lymph node metastasis and TNM stage ( P<0.01, P<0.05 respectively), but not to patient age, tumor length or differentiation; VEGF-C in lymph fluid is significantly higher than in serum( P<0.05) ; The expression of VEGF-C in lymph fluid end serum were significantly associated with lymph node metastasis( P<0.05). Conclusion There are cliuical significance between VEGF-C expression and lymph node metastasis、TNM stage in tissue of esophageal cancer. The level of VFGF-C in lymph fluid is higher than that in serum, both associate with lymph-node metastasis closely.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the formulation of Mirabegron sustained-release tablets. METHODS:Using polyethylene oxide(PEO)and hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose(HPMC K4M)as the sustained release matrix,Mirabegron sustained-release tab-lets were prepared by powder direct compression technology. Using 1,3,5,7 h accumulative release rate as indexes,the amounts of PEO,HPMC K4M and OPADRY? were optimized by composite design-response surface method,and then validated. Accumula-tive release rates of sustained-release tablet and original tablet (MyrbetriqTM) were compared in different pH mediums (water,pH 1.0 simulated gastric fluid,pH 4.5 acetate buffer solution,pH 6.8 phosphate buffer solution) at different rotation rates (100,50 r/min),and similiar factor f2 was calculated to fit drug release model of sustained-release tablet. RESULTS:In the optimized firmu-lation each Mirabegron sustained-release tablet contained mirabegron 25 mg,PEO 108.02 mg,HPMC K4M 21.69 mg,OPADRY? 2.27%. Relative error of accumulative release rates at 1,3,5,7 h to predicted value were 4.78%,3.48%,0.69% and -1.41%, respectively. f2 of release curves of sustained-release tablet and original tablet were higher than 65 in different pH medium at differ-ent rotation rates. The drug release of sustained-release tablet was fitted to zero-order release equation. CONCLUSIONS:Mirabe-gron sustained-release tablet by optimized technology is similar to original tablet in drug release behavior.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the improvement of speech perception in Chinese-native cochlear implant (CI) children using frequency modulated system (FM system). METHOD: The mandarin speech perception (MSP) system was used to evaluate 11 cases with severe and profound hearing loss who were fitted cochlear implants. Listeners were asked to repeat MSP words presented in quiet and several different signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) conditions and percent correct word repetition was determined. Performance was evaluated under FM system and without FM (CI only). In addition, the listeners' subjective performance changes in the experiment were also observed. RESULT: (1) There was significant main effect of the device condition (with FM and no-FM) (F = 72.938, P < 0.01), a significant main effect of signal level (F = 230.715, P < 0.01), a significant interaction effect between the signal level and the device condition (F = 40.893, P < 0.01). (2) Listeners answered the question in a louder voice, showed more confidence, when using with FM system. CONCLUSION FM system could improve the speech reception in a complex environment for Chinese-native CI children.

Objective To investigate the protective effect and cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2) associated mechanism of panax notoginseng saponins (PNS) in spinal cord hemisection injured rats. Methods 55 adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups: sham group (n=5), spinal cord injury group (n=25) and PNS group (n=25). The rats were evaluated with BBB score, pathology and immunohistochemistry 1 d, 3 d, 7 d, 14 d and 21 d after intervention. Results Compared to the spinal cord injury group, motor recovery was significantly better in PNS group 3 d, 7 d, 14 d and 21 d after intervention (P<0.05). Nissl staining showed less neuron necrosis and more integrated neural cells in morphology in PNS group 7 d, 14 d and 21 d after intervention. Cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2) expression was inhabited, and less number of positive cells were found in PNS group 7 d, 14 d and 21 d after intervention. Conclusion PNS can inhibit the expression of cPLA2 after spinal cord injury, which may be one of the mechanisms of its effect on promoting motor recovery.
