Uterine leiomyoma is one of the most common gynecological tumor, whereas acute torsion of the uterine leiomyoma is very rare. We report a case of subserosal leiomyoma that was first detected by ultrasonography, and further confirmed as torsion of subserosal leiomyoma by laparoscopic surgery.

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) has been regarded as a non-surgical, minimally invasive therapeutic option for patients who prioritize uterus-conservation. Although many studies have shown that HIFU therapy is a safe and effective treatment of uterine fibroid, not all fibroids are suitable for HIFU due to risks of serious complications. We experienced three cases of complications after the HIFU ablation for huge uterine fibroids, including two cases of rapid myoma enlargement and one case of heavy vaginal bleeding.

Uterine fibroids are the most common benign tumor of the female genital tract. Traditional therapy for symptomatic fibroids has been either myomectomy or hysterectony, depending on whether futhur fertility is desire. A promised new altermative therapy-embolization of the uterine arteries- is now available. A 29 year-old woman was diagnosed of uterine fibroid by ultrasonogram and other techniques. We have experienced one case of uterine fibroid necrosis after transarterial embolization. Now we report a case of uterine artery embolization for treattement of uterine fibriods with a brief review.

4.Role of MR in Diagnosis of Uterine Leiomyoma.

PURPOSE: Uterine myoma is the most common benign uterine neoplasm, and assosiated with gynecologic and obsteric complications. Preoperative acurrate analysis of the number, location and type of the myoma is important, especially in reproductive women. We analyze the MR findings of uterine myoma for evaluation of the role of MR in diagnosis of uterine myoma. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We analyze MR findings of 76 myomas in 40 patients, and 34 myomas in 17 patients of them were confirmed by surgery. With 2. 0T Spectro-20000(Gold-star, Korea), TlWl axial images and T2Wl axial and sagittal images were obtained. Locations were classified into fundus, anterior body, posterior body, right body, left body, and cervix. Types were classified into submucosal, intramural, and subserosal. Associated findings were analiyed also. RESULTS: The most common location and type wre posterior body and intramural type, respectively. Ten myomas were confirmed on surgery only, and the causes were as follows:first, all 10 myomas were less than 2 cm in size;second, 1 subserosal myoma was abutted to a large ovarian mass;third, small myomas were abutted to each other, or small one was adjacent to larger one and considered as one large myoma. Degenerative change was noted in 50% of histologically confirmed cases. High signal halo on T2Wl was noted in 14%. CONCLUSION: MR is excellent in detection and localization of uterine leiomyoma larger than 2cm, and may be a preoperative diagnostic method of choice in patient who need myomectomy for preservation of childbearing function.

Uterine artery ligation or embolization is a minimally invasive alternative for treatment of symptomatic leiomyoma. However, the experience with pregnancy management and outcome after ablating uterine blood flow is still unknown. We have recently experienced a case of a woman who had two successful spontaneous intrauterine pregnancies after laparoscopic uterine artery ligation to treat uterine myoma for dysmenorrhea and menometrorrhagia.

8.A case of uterine tumor resembling ovarian sex-cord tumor with clinical review.

Uterine tumor resembling ovarian sex-cord tumor (UTROSCT) were first described by Clemen and Scully in 1976. They are a heterogenous group of uterine neoplasm characterised by pure or predominant histological patterns that resembled sex cord tumors of ovary. Clemen and Scully divide the tumors into two groups according to sex-cord-like structures within tumors (the so-called group I tumors with 50% of sex-cord elements, the so-called group II tumors with almost completely sex-cord-like structures). The histogensis of the sex-cord-like elements is uncertain, the group I tumor appears to be more malignant. We experienced a case of UTROSCT in a 44 years old woman underwent LAVH under tantative diagnosis of uterine myoma and report the case with brief review of literature.

10.Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma with Cd56 Expression: A Case Report
