Objective To investigate the imaging characteristics of primary abdominal cocoon in order to improve diagnosis level. Methods The imaging data of 5 cases of primary abdominal cocoon proved by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed. Results Abdominal plain X-ray suggested intestinal obstruction in 3 out of 5 cases. The gastrointestinal barium meal showed cauliflower signal in all 5 cases;CT suggested a conglomeration of multiple small bowel loops in the 5 cases and the intestinal loops seemed to be encapsulated in a thickened capsule. Conclusion Abdominal cocoon should be taken into consideration when gastrointestinal barium meal shows cauli flower signal and CT displays conglomeration.
3.Update on diagnosis and therapy of juvenile myasthenic crisis
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2015;22(10):667-671
Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disorder resulting from the production of antibodies against acetylcholine receptors leading to the destruction of the postsynaptic membrane at the neuromuscular junction.Myasthenic crisis is defined as any myasthenia gravis exacerbation necessitating mechanical ventila-tion or post-operation extubation delayed beyond 24 hours because of respiratory weakness. Most patients presenting with myasthenic crisis have an identifiable risk factor. The diagnosis of myasthenic crisis should be suspected in all patients with respiratory failure, particularly those with unclear etiology.Acute management of myasthenic crisis includes ventilatory therapy, removal of the offending trigger and immunomodulatory treat-ments.The latter includes plasma exchange or intravenous immunoglobulin, and high dose corticosteroids therapy.
4.Effect of IL-10 in tumor
Journal of International Oncology 2013;(3):181-184
Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is an immuno-regulatory cytokine, which is well known for its immunosuppressive function.IL-1O can act on a variety of immune cell subsets and play an immunosuppressive effect through a variety of ways.It plays an important role in the tumor immune escape.Recent studies show that IL-10 also has an immune-stimulating function, which is presumably a pluripotent cytokine. This paper will combine the latest literature to summary the positive and negative regulatory roles of IL-10,mediation ways in the tumor and the relationships with prognosis.
5.Analysis of Volatile Compositions in Xanthium Sibiricum Patr. Before and After Processing by HS-SPME-GC-MS
China Pharmacist 2017;20(2):235-237,241
Objective:To analyze the changes of chemical compositions and relative contents of volatile constituents in raw Xanthi-um sibiricum Patr. and fried Xanthium sibiricum Patr. Methods: Headspace solid phase micro extraction ( HS-SPME) combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry ( GC-MS) was used to study the volatile components in raw and fried products of Xanthium sibir-icum Patr. . A peak area normalization method was applied to calculate the relative percentage content of each composition. Results:Totally 26 and 27 kinds of compounds were isolated and identified respectively from raw and fried xanthium including 19 species and re-spectively accounting for 68. 69% and 90. 08% of the total volatile components. In the raw products, the components with high con-tents were camphor (15. 3%), eucalyptus oil alcohol (9. 6%) and borneol (6. 89%), while in the fried products, those were men-thol (24. 09%), borneol (18. 48%) and eucalyptol (7. 19%). Conclusion:The relative contents of components with effects on rhi-nitis in the fried products are obviously higher than those in the raw products. HS-SPME-GC-MS can be used to detect the volatile com-positions and their relative contents in the raw products and fried products of Xanthium sibiricum Patr. . From the changes of volatile components, theoretical basis can be laid for the components with certain efficacy in raw and fried Xanthium sibiricum Patr. , and scien-tific basis can be provided for their further study and comprehensive utilization.

8.Effect and mechanism of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells transplantation on collagen-induced arthritis
Chinese Journal of Rheumatology 2009;13(6):-
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) on collagen-induced arthritis(CIA) and the possible mechanisms. MethodsMSCs from C57BL/6 mice bone marrow were isolated and expanded. Three DBA-I mice were as normal control group (Sodium Chloride injected on day 0 and 21) after primary immunization. After the bovine collagen Ⅱ induced-CIA models were established, fifteen male mice were randomly divided into 3 groups according to treatment regi-mens: CIA control group(0.2 ml Sodium Chloride injected through caudal vein on day 0 and 21), prevention group(1×10+6 cells MSC on day 0) and treatment group. (1×10+6 cells MSC on day 21 after primary immun-ization). The observed parameters included arthritis index (Al), articular pathology changes, levels of serum TNF-α, IL-1β detected hy ELISA. In addition, the percentage of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+Treg cells(Tregs) in CD4+ T cells of spleen or lymphoid node from mice were also analyzed by flow cytometry(FCM). Results①The Al and articular pathological score of the prevention group and treatment group were lower than the CIA control group(P<0.05). ②The levels of serum TNF-α and IL-1β of normal control, prevention group and treatment group were significantly decreased compared with CIA control group(P<0.05), and positively correlated with Al or articular pathological score (P<0.05). ③The percentage of Tregs from spleen and lymph nodes was significantly increased in MSCs treated mice(P<0.05). Conclusion MSCs transplantation is effective for CIA and suppression of TNF-α, IL-1β and up-regulation of Tregs by MSCs may be the possible mechanism in CIA.
