The diagnosis and treatment of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is an international hotspot of eye research.Successful clinical applications of anti-VEGF drugs promoted both basic research and clinical practice of AMD.A number of countries and professional societies have established clinical guidelines for AMD management, including the epidemiology, risk factors, diagnosis, classification, and treatment process. These AMD guidelines are mostly based on recently published results of clinical trials, provided good model of evidence based medicine. It is urgent and necessary to have our own guideline which is suitable for Chinese patients.Reviewing and learning existed guidelines will help us to improve the clinical practice of AMD in China.
4.Four proved cases of classic prescription
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(04):-
‘Typhoid fever and Miscellaneous Diseases’is well known as‘the origin of prescription’. Prescriptions in this book are reliable, exquisite and rigorous, can cure hard diseases using very few kinds of TCM. The principle of‘corresponding prescription to symptom’makes proved cases simple but highly effective to complex illnesses. This thesis introduced four proved cases of remedying miscellaneous internal medicine diseases under the guidance of determination of treatment based on syndrome differentiation, principle of correspondence of prescription and syndrome, the author used classic prescriptions, such as Wuzhuyu Decoction, Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction, Guizhi and Houpo Xizi Decoction and Dachaihu Decocion.

6.PET-CT in the diagnosis of lung cancer with bone metastasis
Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(8):598-600
Positron emission tomography (PET)/CT plays an important role in the diagnosis of bone metastasis from lung cancer, and can reflect the pathophysiological and morphological changes in lesion of bone metastasis. The sensitivity, specificity and the overall accuracy of PET-CT for the diagnosis of bone metastasis in patients with lung cancer are higher than those of routine methods such as X-ray,CT scan,MRI and SPECT/CT.
7.Anatomic measurements of internal fixation-related implantation points of inferior thoracic spinal latero-anterior vertebral screws
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;19(17):2683-2687
BACKGROUND: There are many reports on the entrance point of adult inferior thoracic spinal latero-anterior screw.Because of the differences in race, districts and the shape of vertebral body are various, and the choice of screw placement position is also varied.OBJECTIVE:To provide an anatomical reference for the implantation of clinical screws for inferior thoracic spinal latero-anterior fixation with the concave rib set as a reference.METHODS:Spinal specimens from 20 adult cadavers were observed, and anatomical data were colected from the concave ribs. One vernier caliper was used for the measurements.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The thoracic transverse diameters and the distance between the upper and the inferior edge of the concave rib and upper endplate increased gradualy as the vertebral number increased, whereas the distances between the upper and the inferior edge of the concave rib and inferior endplate and between the anterior edge of the concave rib and anterior edge of the vertebral canal decreased gradualy.Above findings suggested that the anatomical positions of the inferior thoracic concave ribs folowed a set of rules. The concave rib could be used as a simple, constant, and reliable reference point for inferior thoracic spinal latero-anterior fixation screw placement.
8.Biocompatibility and quantitative analysis of oral bone implant materials in vivo using synchrotron radiation-based micro-computed-tomography:study protocol for a randomized controlled animal experiment
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2017;21(6):952-956
BACKGROUND:At present, bone substitute filling is mainly used for bone defect repair. In order to understand the effect on bone defect repair, it is necessary to look into the microstructure changes of bone defects after bone substitute implantation. Synchrotron radiation-based micro-computed-tomography (SR-μCT) can be used to make high-resolution, high-resolution three-dimensional imaging without slicing and dyeing, and has high scientific and clinical value. OBJECTIVE:To explore the feasibility of SR-μCT in micron-level bone osseointegration examination in oral medicine. METHODS:This randomized controlled animal experiment was completed at the Fifth Central Hospital of Tianjin, Tianjin, China. A rabbit model of mandibular defect was made in 24 male New Zealand white rabbits. The model rats were randomly divided into four groups and received autologous bone, Bio-oss bone meal,β-tricalcium phosphate powder and no implantation (negative control group) in the defective area, respectively. Bone samples, including the defect area and the surrounding normal bone tissue, were taken at 2, 4, 8 weeks postoperatively for SR-μCT examination, fol owed by histopathological examination, in order to observe the repairing effects of different types of bone implant materials from different angles. The study protocol has been approved by the Ethics Committee of the Fifth Central Hespital of Tianjin in China. The study procedures were completed in accordance with the Guidance Suggestions for the Care and Use of Experimental Animals of China and the guidelines of the National Institutes of Health, USA. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:In this study, SR-μCT could be used to observe the bone microstructure and osseointegration with no damage to samples to collect accurate quantitative data, including bone volume, number of bone trabeculae and bone mineral density. Therefore, SR-μCT can fully analyze the biocompatibility of bone implant material in vivo, give insight into the micron-level changes of different types of bone implant materials in the bone defect, thereby providing experimental evidence to improve bone defect healing.
9.HISTOCHEMICAL DEMONSTRATION OF PROSTAGLANDIN SYNTHETASE IN MAST CELL
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1953;0(01):-
Thymus, lymph node and intestine (two pieces each) were taken from 20 adult guinea pigs and 10 adult rats. One piece was frozen in liquid nitrogen (-70℃) and cryostat sections were stained with Janszen and Nugteren (1971) method to demonstrate prostaglandin synthetase activity, Another piece was fixed in methanol, and paraffin sections were stained with HE and toluidin blue to demonstrate mast cell. Teased preparation of mesentery were stained by the same methods to show enzyme activity. Indomethacin inhibiting test was used as control. It is proven that the brown deposit represented the prostaglandin synthetase activity. These deposit existed in cytoplasm of mast cell, while and was absent in nucleus and specific granules. Prostaglandin synthetase positive mast cells distributed widely in lamina propria, axis of villi and submucosal layer in intestine, capsule, septa and medulla in thymus; capsule, trabecullum and paracortical zone of lymph node.
