Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate the clinical application of vaginal hysterectomy. Methods Clinical data of 118 patients with benign uterine diseases treated by vaginal hysterectomy (Vaginal Group) were retrospectively reviewed and were compared with those of 124 patients who underwent open hysterectomy (Open Group). Results The operative time (50 1 min?15 3 min), the intraoperative blood loss (150 4 ml?56 ml), the number of patients with a need for postoperative analgesics (26 cases), the postoperative pyrexia (42 cases), the time to first getting out of bed (26 4 h?6 3 h) and the length of hospitalization (5 2 d?1 2 d) in the Vaginal Group were significantly less than those in the Open Group (70 3 min?12 4 min, 212 2 ml?70 3 ml, 124 cases, 94 cases, 48 5 h?12 1 h, 8 2 d?2 2 d, respectively; P =0 000). There were no statistical significances between the two groups in occurrence of intra- or post- operative complications (Vaginal Group: 0 8%, 1/118, Open Group: 5 6%, 7/124; ? 2=2 982, P =0 084). Conclusions Vaginal hysterectomy has the advantages over open hysterectomy in minimal invasion and rapid recovery.
2.Primary culture and hepatocelluar specific protein expression in human amniotic epithelial cells
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(03):-
Objective To optimize the method of primary culture for human amniotic epithelial cells (AECs) and detect the expression of hepatocelluar specific proteins in AECs. Methods AECs were obtained by collagenase and trypsin digestion method. 10,20,40 ng/mL epidermal growth factor (EGF) and 10 ng/mL basic fibroblast growth factor were added separately to the culture media, inverted microscope was used to observe the cell growth and proliferation, and the optimal condition for primary culture of AECs was obtained. The primary cells cultured without growth factors were served as controls. The expression of hepatocelluar specific proteins such as albumin,cytokeratin-18 (CK-18),alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT) and alpha-1 foetoprotein (AFP) in cultured cells and histological sections were detected by immunohistochemical staining. Results The AECs available were relatively pure, with only a few mesenchymal cells. EGF of 10 ng/mL was chosen as an ingredient of culture medium as the growth and proliferation of AECs significantly accelerated with 10 ng/mL EGF. The expression of albumin,CK-18,AAT and AFP was detected in amnion tissues and AECs cultured in vitro. Conclusion Collagenase and trypsin digestion method and culture medium with 10 ng/mL EGF are favourable conditions for primary culture of AECs. Hepatocelluar specific proteins are expressed in human amnion tissues and AECs cultured in vitro, indicating that AECs have some characteristics of hepatocytes.

5. Efficacy-toxicity Evaluation of Mahuang Xixin Fuzi Decoction on Mice with Kidney-yang Deficiency
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2020;55(7):510-518
OBJECTIVE: To study the pharmacodynamic effects of Mahuang Xixin Fuzi Decoction (MXF) on mice with kidney-yang deficiency, its toxic effects on normal mice and effect-toxic mechanism. METHODS: BABL/C male mice were randomly divided into normal groups; normal groups with low, medium and high toxicity; kidney Yang deficiency model group. The low, medium and high dose groups were treated with infected Influenza virus of kidney-yang deficiency. After continuous gavage for 6 days, the body weight anal temperature and other pharmacological indicators were recorded, and the general signs, biochemical indicators and inflammatory factors of the mice were detected. RESULTS: Compared with the normal group, the biochemical parameters of the kidney yang deficiency model group, which means the creatine kinase (CK), creatine kinase-isoenzyme (CK-MB), alpha-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase (α-HBDH), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate transferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and urea (urea) were significantly increased (P<0.05), inflammatory factors interleukin-6 (IL-6), monocyte deproteinization protein (MCP-1), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-10 (IL- 10), interferon-γ (INF-γ) and interleukin 12 (IL-12p70) increased significantly (P<0.05). After administration, the levels of biochemical markers such as CK, ALT and urea in each administration groups were slightly reduced compared with the model group. The levels of inflammatory factors such as IL-6, IL-10 and IFN-γ in each administration groups showed different degrees of callback compared with the model group. In the toxicity study, the biochemical indicators of CK, urea, and cysteine (CYS-C) in each drug-administered group were significantly higher than those in the normal group (P<0.05), and the inflammatory factor interleukin-10 (IL-10) increased significantly, and the content of interleukin-12 (IL-12p70) decreased significantly (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: After treatment with MXF, the above biochemical indicators of mice with kidney yang deficiency and external sensation have different degrees of callback. MXF can achieve therapeutic effects by regulating IL-6, IL-10, IFN-γ, MCP-1, TNF-α and other factors on the body′s inflammatory response. While normal mice give different doses of MXF, the heart, liver and kidney function are dysfunctional, the balance of immune response of the body are broken through cell transfer, thus making normal mouse developed an inflammatory response.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the epidemiology of hyperthyroidism in three rural communities with different iodine intake after universal salt iodization (USI) since 1996 as well as the influence of USI on the incidence of hyperthyroidism. Methods Inhabitants in Panshan community did not take iodized salt whereas inhabitants in Zhangwu and Huanghua communities have taken iodized salt since 1996. The thyroid function, thyroid autoantibodies, urinary iodine concentration and thyroid B ultrasound were performed in 1103, 1584 and 1074 subjects respectively in the three communities and the number of hyperthyroidism patients between 1991 and 1999 was collected to calculate the yearly average incidence of hyperthyroidism. Results The median urinary iodine concentrations in Panshan, Zhangwu and Huanghua were 103 ?g/L, 375 ?g/L and 615 ?g/L, respectively (P0.05) andtheprevalenceofsubclinicalhyperthyroidism was 3.7%, 3.9% and 1.1%, respectively. Comparing the yearly average incidence of hyperthyroidism of 1996~1999 with that of 1991~1995, a significant increased incidence in Panshan, while a slight but insignificant elevated one in Zhangwu and a fixed one in Huanghua were found. Conclusion USI can not result in a raise of the prevalence of active hyperthyroidism as well as subclinical hyperthyroidism. The increase of iodine intake is not the only explanation for the raising of the incidence of hyperthyroidism.

Objective To establish the biostereometric system of breast volume measurement and to estimate the precision and reliability of the designed system. Methods Biostereometric system of breast volume measurement was built upon the biostereometrics based on computer stereo vision and image processing. One laser projector was used as illuminating source, two CCD cameras were mounted for photo-taken, a series of parallel points were provided through a piece of grating. The volumes of 12 female breast models were tested by water displacement (golden standard) and biostereometric analysis. Results The maximum size of marks we photographed was within 120 mm?140 mm?80 mm. The characters of the system was rapid, non-contact and noninvasive. The validity and reliability of determination of breast volume between biostereometric system and golden standard had no significant difference, compared to water displacement (P=0.473). Conclusions Biostereometric system of breast volume measurement will be suited for the clinical application. The study offers a noninvasive, non-contact, rapid and accurate morphologic method and provides a new theory foundation for morphological analysis.
