Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2010;17(15):2032-2033
Objective To evaluate and compare the advantages and disadvantages and the clinical applica- _ tion between abdominal hysterectomy (AH) and laparoscopically hysterectomy ( LAH) on the benign lesions of Non-prolapsed Uterus. Methods 400 patients with benign lesions of Non-prolapsed Uterus were divided into two groups. They were AH group (202 cases) and LAH group (198 cases). The effects of clinical treatment of the two groups were compared. Results In LAH group anal exhaust time, postoperative morbidity, length of stay were less than those in AH group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0. 05 ). The cost of LAH group was higher, and all symptoms were relieved after opreation. In LAH group, the average recovery time of the surgery to return to work time was(21 ± 7) d, but in AH group that was( 36 ± 8 ) d. The differences of recovery rime between two groups were statistically significantly ( P < 0.05). In two groups B-myoma were not found obvious by follow-up. Conclusion Different surgical patterns of hysterectomy had their distinctive advantages. The key point of a successful operation was to avoid complications of the operation.
3. Effects of eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3.1-Annexin A1 on migration and invasion of colon cancer cells
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;31(3):264-268
Objective To evaluate the effects of Annexin A1 on migratory and invasive ability of colon cancer cells. Methods Eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3. 1-Annexin A1 was constructed and analyzed by restriction analysis and sequencing. The recombinant plasmid pcDNA3. 1-Annexin A1 was transfected into SW480 cells by liposome-mediated gene transferred method. The stable transfectants were obtained after screening with G418. Real-time PCR and Western blotting analysis were used to examine the expression of Annexin A1 mRNA and protein in SW480 cells before and after transfection. Wound-healing experiment and Transwell invasion assays were used to study the effects of Annexin A1 on the migratory and invasive ability of SW480 cells. Results The recombinant plasmid pcDNA3. 1-Annexin A1 was successfully constructed. The results of real-time PCR and Western blotting analysis showed that the Annexin A1 expression was significantly higher in cells transfected with pcDNA3. 1-Annexin A1 than in un-transfected cells or those transfected with empty vectors (P<0. 01), while there was no significant difference between the last two groups (P>0.05). The migratory rate of SW480 cells in pcDNA3. 1- Annexin A1 group was significantly higher than those in un-transfected cells or transfected with empty vectors ([0. 415 ± 0. 002) vs [0. 267± 0. 003] and [0. 271 ±0. 002], P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between the latter two groups. The migrating SW480 cells in pcDNA3. 1-Annexin A1 group was significantly more than those in the other two groups ([ 221. 75± 12. 07] vs [162. 80± 12. 07] and [164. 25±9. 50], P<0. 05). Conclusion Overexpression of Annexin A1 can increase the migratory and invasive ability of SW480 cell line.
4. Cancer stem cells of multiple myeloma: Recent progress
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;30(8):953-955
Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are a small proportion of tumor cells with the property of stem cells in the tumor tissue; they are capable of self-renewal, multi-lineage differentiation and serve as the source of tumor cells and tumor tissues. The discovery of multiple myeloma CSCs and the study on its relationship with side population cells and niche provide a new interpretation on the pathogenesis of multiple myeloma.
7.Effect and mechanism of jianpi qinghua recipe on renal functions of adriamycin-induced nephropathic rats from the angle of inhibiting renal fibrosis.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2014;34(6):733-738
OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of Jianpi Qinghua Recipe (JQR) on renal functions of adriamycin-induced focal segmental glomerular sclerosis (FSGS) rats from the angle of activating fibroblasts to myofibroblast (MyoF).
METHODSTotally 56 rats were randomly divided into the normal control group (n=8), the sham-operation group (n =8), and the model group (n=40). The FSGS rat model was induced by nephrectomy of left kidney plus intravenous injection of adriamycin. Successfully modeled rats were further divided into 5 groups, i.e., the model group, the JQR group, the JPR (Jianpi Recipe) group, the QHR (Qinghua Recipe) group, and the NDQ (Niaoduqing) group, 8 in each group. Corresponding drugs were administered to rats in all groups, 2 mL each time, for 56 days. The effect of JQR on serum creatinine (SCr), urea nitrogen, 24-h urinary protein excretion, a-smooth muscle actin (alpha-SMA) mRNA, collagen type III (Col III) mRNA, fibronectin (FN) mRNA, and collagen type IV (Col IV) mRNA were observed.
RESULTSJQR could significantly lower SCr, urea nitrogen, and 24-h urinary protein excretion levels (P < 0.01), and significantly decrease mRNA levels of alpha-SMA, Col III, FN, and Col IV (P < 0.01). It was advantageous over the NDQ group. Compared with JPR, the relative expression levels of Col III mRNA and FN mRNA of JQR and QHR were significantly lower (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONSJQR could improve the renal function and renal fibrosis in the adriamycin-induced nephropathic model rats. Its efficacy was superior to that of NDQ. Its mechanisms might be linked with inhibiting activation of fibroblasts.

Journal of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(6):936-939,943
Objective To investigate the effects of Pollen Typhae total flavone ( PTF) , an extract from Pollen Typhae which has the actions of activating blood and removing stasis, on inflammatory factors and insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetic rats. Methods SD rats were used as the experimental animal. Type 2 diabetic rats induced by high fat diet plus low dose of streptozotocin were randomly divided into model group, PTF group (in the dosage of 200 mg·kg-1·d-1) , and rosiglitazone group (in the dosage of 4 mg·kg-1·d-1) . Additionally, normal control group was set up. After treatment for 4 weeks, plasma interleukin 6 ( IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor alpha ( TNF-α) levels were detected, the insulin tolerance test ( ITT) was performed, and the protein expression of suppressor of cytokine signaling-3 ( SOCS-3) in skeletal muscle was determined. Results After treatment for 4 weeks, the plasma levels of IL-6 and TNF-α, the homeostasis model of insulin resistance ( HOMA-IR) , and expression level of SOCS-3 in skeletal muscle in the model groups were significantly increased ( P﹤0.05) as compared with those in the normal control group, and insulin tolerance was also impaired in the model group ( P﹤0.05) . Compared with the model group, IL-6 level and HOMA-IR were markedly decreased in the PTF group ( P﹤0.05) , and the impaired insulin tolerance was obviously improved (P﹤0.05) . The level of SOCS-3 in the skeletal muscle of PTF group was also much lower than that of the model group and rosiglitazone group (P﹤0.05) . Conclusion PTF has effects on decreasing the levels of plasma IL-6 and SOCS-3 in the skeletal muscle and on improving insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetic rats.
