Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a new emerging technology that is widely used in diagnosis of ocular diseases recently.It has the capability to generate high resolution 3D angiograms of retina and choroid,dissect and visualize the flow in various layers of the retina,and provide more informations of the structure and function of the retina simultaneously.Nevertheless,OCTA is in the early stage of clinical evaluation,so studies on imaging various diseases by OCTA are still on the way.In this article,we reviewed literatures of clinical research on OCTA,and summarized its current research situation,values of optic diseases and drawbacks,which guide its clinical application.

Objective To explore the method of flow cytometric analysis for T-lymphocyte subpopulations in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) and evaluate its clinical significance in diagnosis of lung cancer.Methods Forty-seven BALF were collected from the patients with lung cancer or benign pulmonary disorders.T-lymphocyte subpopulations were detected by 3-colour staining method of CD4FITC/CD8PE/CD3PerCP in flowcytometer.Results The percentage of Th and Ts cells were(35.76?7.71) % and(64.31?7.37) % respectively,and Th/Ts was(0.57 ? 0.18) in the BALF of lung cancer,while they were(49.27 ?12.88) %,(44.54 ?9.56) %,and(1.13 ?0.29) in the BALF with benign pulmonary disorders.The percentage of Th cells in the BALF of lung cancer were lower than that in the BALF of benign pulmonary disorders(P

This study was undertaken to investigate the response of nonimmunologic contact urticaria(NICU) test before and after ingestion of cimetidine, homoclorcyclizine and indomethacin. Thirty-five patients who showed positive reaction to 5% benzoic acid (BA) in petrolatum (pet) by 20 minutes closed patch test were chosen and divided into 4 groups. Group I was consisted of 10 patients who were taken cimetidine 200 mg single dose, group 2, 9 patients, taken hornoclorcyclizine 10mg single dose or 30mg divided dose, group 3. 8 patients, taken indomethacin 100 mg single dose and group 4. 8 patients, taken indomethacin 50 mg tid. All the patients were tested with 5%. 2.5%. l%, 0.5%, and 0. l% BA in pet using Leukotape on the riight arm before rnedication and next day on the left arm after medication of each drug. Cimetidine and homoclorcyclizine did not show any significant differences before and after ingestion of drugs. Indomethacin, the cyclo-oxygenase inhibitor, blocked the reaction completely in half of the patients and reduced the reaction in almost all patients, regardless of doses. This results suggested that NICU induced by BA is not mediated by histamine but probably by prostaglandins.

I report a case of inverted follicular keratosis in a 68-year-old woman who presented a solitary, asymptomatic, slightly brownish verrucous nodule on her nose, present for 3 years. The lesion was characterized histologically by focal hyperkeratosis, marked acanthosis, horn cysts, numerous squamous eddies and sebaceous differentiation of the basaloid cells in the epidermis.

Objective To evaluate the method of flow cytometric analysis of T lymphocyte subsets in bodyfluid of the pa-tients. Kidney is the most important organ to maintain the balance of hyperkalemia.Due to reduced glomerular filtration rate or renal tubule potassium excretion dysfunction, all kinds of acute and chronic kidney diseases can result in increased hyperkalemia.Therefore, hyperkalemia becomes a common electrolyte disorder in children with kidney disease.Hence, the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of renal hyperkalemia are particularly important for clinicians.

Objective To evaluate the stimulative role of the enhanced recovery program after surgery (ERAS) protocol in patients undergoing radical resection for gastric cancer.Methods A total of 102 consecutive patients undergoing elective gastric resection were included in either the ERAS (n =35,received ERAS perioperative treatment from June 2013 to June 2014) or the control group (n =67,received conventional perioperative treatment from June 2011 to June 2013).Outcomes related to nutrition index,stress index,and recovery index were measured.Results The nutritional index of patients (total lymphocyte count,serum albumin and prealbumin) in the ERAS group was improved on postoperative day (POD) 1 compared with that in the control group [(1.25±0.65) × 109/L vs (1.09±0.71) × 109/L,(36.4±5.2) g/L vs (31.3±4.1) g/L,(0.19±0.08) g/L vs (0.17±0.05) g/L,P ＜ 0.05,respectively].The level of negative nitrogen balance on POD 1 in the ERAS group was slightly lower than that in the control group (P ＞ 0.05),and the level of negative nitrogen balance on POD 7 in the ERAS group was higher than that in the control group (-0.93±2.17 vs -3.87±4.45,P ＜ 0.05).The postoperative cortisol level in the control group was elevated on both POD 1 (P ＜ 0.05) and POD 7 (P ＜ 0.05) compared to the preoperative level [(5.06±1.87) mg/L vs (3.60±1.5) mg/L],(5.15±1.33) mg/L vs (3.60±1.51) mg/L,P ＜ 0.05,respectively].However,the cortisol level was not increased until POD 7 in the ERAS group [(5.08±1.18) mg/L vs (3.20±1.43) mg/L,P ＜ 0.05].The level of IL-6 was elevated in postoperative period compared to preoperative period both in two groups (P ＜ 0.05).And the level of IFN-γin the ERAS group on POD 1 was reduced compared to the preoperative level (P ＜ 0.05).Whether in preoperative or postoperative,the level of IL-1β and TNF-α showed no statistical significance change.In addition,the postoperative recovery conditions (day of oral all-liquid recovery,first day of defecation,hospital stay,maximum pain on visual analogue scale) in the ERAS group were better than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).The incidence rates of complications between the two groups were 13.4 ％ (9/67) and 17.1％ (6/35) respectively (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion ERAS protocol can alleviate surgical stress response and accelerate postoperative recovery without compromising patients' safety.

INTRODECTION: In order to improve medical education through the introduction of a concept of comprehensive health care of a community, an area surrounding the University Campus was chosen for the Community Health Service Project. It has been on operation for last 4 years with its major emphasis on family planning services, and maternal and child health care. The major objectives of this survey at the area are to obtain: 1) The demographic data, 2) The health need and trend of medical care. 3) The attitude and practice in maternity care to be used for further improvement of the planning and the services of the project. Population and Survey Method: Out of three Dongs of the Community Health Service Area, only two Dongs namely Changchun and Yonhee were selected for the survey. Total number of households and population in the area studied was 3.683 and 21,857 respectively. An interview was performed with questionnaire schedule which was recorded by interviewers. This includes the degree of utilization of health services provided by the Community Health Service Program such as family planning, prenatal care during their last pregnancy, delivery history and complications of the delivery as well as the incidence of illnesses in general. Prior to the interview, all interviewers were trained for interviewing technique for two days. The survey was carried out during the period from October December 1967. RESUTLS: 1) Demographic Data : 41.3% of the population studied were children under age 15 and only 3.5% were over 60 years of age. Crude birth rate and crude death rate of this area studied during the period of November 1966-October 1967 were 20.5 and 7.7 respectively. Infant mortality rate during the same period was 35.9. 50.4% of the 2,832 households fell into the category of middle class, 39.8% to the lower class and 9.5% to the upper class in economic condition. 19.8% of 2,832 householders had no formal education, 22.7% primary school, and 57.5% middle or higher school education. 2) Health Status and Utilization of the Community Health Service: Those who suffered from many illnesses during the month of October, 1967 were 690(4.6% of 14,891 persons). Classification of these patients into the type of disease shown respiratory diseases 27.4%, gastrointestinal diseases 18.1%, tuberculosis 10.9%, skin and genitourethral diseases 4.5% and gynecologic patients 4.5%. Only 55.9% of the patients received medical care at hospital or doctor's clinic. But among TB and gynecologic patients, 70.7% and 72.4% were treated at medical facilities. 10.6% of 2,832 householders interviewed has ever utilized the Community Health Service Program provided by the Yonsei Medical School. Classifying these clients into the type of service, 35.9% utilized the wellbaby clinic, 31.0% the family planning clinic, 14.7% the home delivery care, and the rest utilized other services such as the premarital guidance clinic and the sanitary inspection service. 3) Maternity Care: 23.6% of 2,151 deliveries were done at medical facilities such as hospital, private clinic, while 76.4% were done at home. Acceptance rate of prenatal care was 32.6% as whole, but 49.6 of 774 women who had the prenatal care service had their deliveries at medical facility. 45.1% of total deliveries were attended by medical and or paramedical personnel. 75.8% of the deliveries of those received prenatal care were attended by medical and or paramedical personnel while only 27.8% of the deliveries of those who did not have prenatal care attended by medical and or paramedical personnel. 49.8% of deliveries of the upper class, 29.8% of the middle class and 9.9% of the lower class were attended by medical and or paramedical personnel. 6.2, 3.3% and 24.8% of mothers reported about their experience of edema, coma and fever during the period of trimester of pregnancy and puerperium. 4) Family Planning: The rate of practice of family planning was 27.9%. 31.7% of them were by IUD, 20.9% by oral pill, 15.2% by sterilization and the rest by traditional methods. Those women who had 3 to 4 children had highest(30.2%). Practice rate among the various methods of family planning, oral pill was the most popular method to whom had 2 or less children. In relation between the practicing rate of family planning and living standard, the upper, middle and lower class practiced 37.5, 29.4 and 19.9% respectively.

BACKGROUND: Neointimal ingrowth rather than stent recoil has thought to be important for coronary arterial in-stent restenosis. Intuitively cell migration and extracellular matrix (ECM) formation seems to be important in the pathogenesis of stent restenosis. Therefore, with specific aim of identifying molecules implicated in cell migration and extracellular matrix formation, histopathologic analysis on atherectomized coronary arterial in-stent restenotic tissue was performed. METHODS: In the present study we analyzed 29 atherectomized coronary arterial in-stent restenotic tissue specimens (LAD 14, LCX 5, RCA 10) retrieved (5.7+/-5.4 months after stent deployment) from 25 patients (age 59+/-13, M/F:18/70) in whom restenosis complicated previous revascularization with Palmaz-Schatz stent. Histopathologic analysis was performed after immunostaining. Antibodies against TGF- 1, hyaluronan synthase (HAS) 1, MMP1, MMP9, urokinase type plasminogen activator, PDGF receptor were used for immunostaining. RESULTS: Myxoid tissue characterized by stellate-shaped cells embedded in a loose ECM was present in 20 out of 29 specimens, and tends to decrease over time after stenting. Foci of cell poor area (48-320 cells/mm2) in a microscopic field was present in 17 out of 29 specimens, and tends to increase over time after stenting (13/16 in <4 mo vs. 4/13 in > or =4 mo, p<0.01). Various proportions of specimens show positive stained cells with respect to each antibodies: TGF 1 in 16 out of 20:HAS1 in 10 out of 13:MMP1 in 8 out of 16:MMP9 in 4 out of 13:PDGF receptor in 12 out of 17 specimens. Abundant cells labled with certain antibodies (TGF 1, uPA, PDGF receptor) were frequently found in myxoid tissue. CONCLUSIONS: Myxoid tissue, frequently found in stent restenotic tissue, may be a biologically active tissue in terms of cell migration and of ECM formation. ECM accumulation tends to increase over time after stenting and may be important in pathogenesis of coronary arterial stent restenosis.
