Invasion and metastasis are critical determinants on cancer morbidity.Genes and molecules participating in these steps have been demonstrated as potential prognostic factors.Growth factors and their receptors,cell-cycle regulators,cell-adhesion molecules and m trix-degrading enzymes are potentially used as prognostic factors.However,increased understandings for molecular mechanisms underlying carcinogenesis and its implementation in the treatment of gastric cancers have recently been focused on the development and incorporation of targeted agents with chemotherapy.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of 89 Sr internal radiotherapy on multiple-bone metastasis of cancer. Methods Forty-nine cancer patients with multiple-bone metastasis received 89 Sr internal radiotherapy. The pain control effect, life quality improvement, change in levels of blood calcium and serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and side effects were analyzed respectively. Results The total effective rate of pain control was 77.6 %. The life quality was improved obviously. The levels of blood calcium and ALP were decreased. No obvious side effects were found during the treatment. Conclusion 89 Sr internal radiotherapy had a good therapeutic effect on multiple-bone metastasis of cancer.

Objective To study the expression, distribution and significance of C2 gene in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and gastric cancer tissue. Methods ABC immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of C2 protein in 60 samples of HCC tissue and 58 samples of gastric cancer tissue, and Western blot technique was used to detect the expression of C2 protein in 10 samples of HCC tissue and pericancerous tissue. Results 1. Expression of C2 protein in HCC tissue: in 60 samples of HCC and 42 samples of pericancerous tissue, the positivity rate of C2 protein was 27.3% and 83.3%, respectively. Objective To explore the correlation between cardiovascular risk factors and characteristics of coronary artery le‐sions ,the degree of stenosis in patients with coronary artery disease(CAD) .Methods Totally 156 patients who under went coro‐nary angiography(CAG) in our hospital were divided into CAD group(n=98) and non‐CAD group(n=58) which the patients with coronary stenosis <50% according to the result of CAG .Their clinical data were retrospectively analyzed ,including gender ,age , body mass index(BMI) ,family history ,smoking status ,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) ,blood lipid ,blood pressure and blood sugar levels ,the correlation between cardiovascular risk factors and coronary artery lesions was analyzed .Results There was significant difference of gender ,systolic blood pressure (SBP) ,total cholesterol (TCH) ,three acyl glycerin (TG) ,low density lipo‐protein cholesterol (LDL‐C) ,fasting blood glucose (FBG) ,smoking between the two groups(P<0 .05) ,but no significant differ‐ence was found at the level of ages ,BMI ,high‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL‐C) ,diastolic blood pressure (DBP) ,family his‐tory ,serum creatinine (Cr) ,LVEF between the two groups(P>0 .05) .The number of coronary artery lesion branch were increased with these risk factors incresed ,such as smoking ,SBP ,LDL‐C ,FBG ,no significant difference with age ,male ,TCH ,TG .The degree of stenosis were increased with SBP ,FBG ,no significant difference with age ,male ,smoking ,TCH ,TG and LDL‐C .Conclusion The smoking ,males ,FBP and SBP are the prominent risk factors of CAD in Qinghai area ,prosmote the occurrence and development of CAD together .

ObjectiveTo observe the effection of different interventions of group B streptococcus (GBS) infection in gestation period.MethodsOne hundred and seventeen cases with GBS infection were obtained from 1885 pregnant women,who were got routine prenatal examination at 34 to 37 weeks of pregnancy,and drug seeitivity test of secretions which were taken from under paragraph 1/3 of vagina,and divided into treatment group (91 cases) and untreatment group (26 cases).The treatment group was divided into treatment group one (47 cases) and treatment group two (44 cases).Treatment group one was treated with oral antibiotics for 7 days after diagnosis,treatment group one and two were treated with postpartum antibiotics intravenous infusion once every 4 hours in labor.Comparison of maternal and fetal outcomes.ResultsThe GBS infection rate was 6.2％ (117/1885).The morbidity of premature delivery,premature rupture of membrane and neonatal infection of treatment group [ 5.5％ ( 5/91 ),13.2％ ( 12/91 ),5.5％ (5/91 ) ]were lower than those of untreatment group [ 19.2％(5/26),30.8％(8/26),23.1％(6/26) ](P ＜ 0.05).The morbidity of premature dehvery and premature rupture of membrane of treatment group one[ 0,6.4％ (3/47)]were lower than those of treatment group two[ 11.4％ (5/44),20.5％ (9/44)](P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Anti-GBS treatment can improve the outcomes of mothers and infants,especially early anti-GBS treatment during the period of pregnancy.

Objective To summarize the experiences in diagnosis and treatment of thymoma in 120 cases. Methods 120 patients with thymoma were operated on, and the diagnosis was confirmed pathologically, from January 1994 to December 2003 in our department. According to Masaoka clinical and pathological classification, 54 cases were stage Ⅰ, 32 were stage Ⅱ, 22 were stage Ⅲ, 12 were stage Ⅳ. In 42 cases there were symptoms of myasthenia gravis. Result Total excision was performed in 112 cases and partial excision in 8 cases. When the tumor was beyond stage Ⅱ, postoperative radiotherapy was given. Recurrence occurred in 5 patients 1-7 years after operation. Conclusions Surgical resection is currently the main therapeutic method for tumor of the thymus. The preferred surgical approach was excision of thymoma and removal of perithymic fat in the anterior mediastinum through a median sternotomy. Thymoma is a potentially malignant disease, and the patients with the tumor beyond stage Ⅰ must undergo postoperative radiotherapy. Local recurrence of the tumor should be surgically excised.

Objective To assess the clinical efficacy of electroanatomically guided mapping and radiofrequency ablation under CARTO system for premature ventricular contraction. Methods The CARTO electroanatomical mapping system displays real time three dimensional chamber structure with electrical information related to signal amplitude and activation time. Drugrefractory and frequent premature ventricular contractions were ablated under CARTO system. Results Frequent premature ventricular contractions were successfully ablated in all 8 patients with mean 2.2?1.7 radiofrequency applications under CARTO system. 6/8 frequent premature ventricular contractions occured in right ventricule, and 2/8 in left ventricule. After ablation, the premature ventricular contractions declined from 24 711?5 612 beats/24h to 0-5 beats/24h, and patient′s symptoms almost disappeared. No recurrent case was found during a period of 3-12 months following observation, and the premature ventricular contractions remained ≤10 beats/24h. Conclusions The CARTO electroanatomical mapping system, referred to the electrophysiologic data, may be applied in guiding the radiofrequency ablation of drug-refractory and frequent premature ventricular contractions in those patients who have no organic heart disease for its safety and accurate orientation.

Objective To provide credible anatomic data and information for clinical diagnosis and surgery of hand by measuring the length of metacarpal bone and phalanges of hands on X-ray films and to study their mathematical relations.Methods The X-ray films of hands on posteroanterior position were taken in 186 healthy college students (M90,F96).The length of each metacarpal and phalange were measured.All the data were calculated by SPSS software.Results The mathematical relations of each metacarpal and phalange bone were obtained .It was found that there were sexual differences in the ratio of first to second,second to fourth,second to fifth and third to fourth metacarpal length,the ratio of first to second,first to fourth and second to fifth proximal phalangeal length,the ratio of second to fifth,third to fifth and fourth to fifth middle phalangeal length and the ratio of first to second and first to third distal phalangeal length.Conclusion The results of this mathematical relations are of great significant in orthopaedic surgery of hand.
