Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2016;25(8):728-731
Objective To examine the characteristics of dysfunctional attitudes in patients with so?matoform disorders and to delineate the relationship between dysfunctional attitudes and personality disorder tendency. Methods Sixty?four outpatients with somatoform disorder and 52 healthy individuals were recrui?ted and asked to complete the Personality Diagnostic Questionnaire( PDQ?4) and the Dysfunctional Attitudes Scale( DAS ) for the evaluation of their personality disorder tendency and cognitive characteristics. DAS scores were compared between patient and control groups. The relationship between DAS and PDQ?4 was e?valuated by comparing DAS scores of patients with and without personality disorder tendency and by correla?ting patients’ total scores of DAS and PDQ?4. Results Patients with somatoform disorder(150.13±31.75) showed significantly higher scores of DAS than healthy controls(121.62±20.30). Moreover, patients with per?sonality disorder tendency exhibited significantly higher scores in the total score of DAS and scores of five factors including vulnerability, absorption/exclusive, compulsion, dependence and cognitive philosophy ( P<0.05) . Finally,a positive correlation was found between total scores of DAS and PDQ?4( r=0.535, P<0.01) and the correlation coefficients between the total score of DAS and Cluster A( r=0.545) and C scores( r=0.625) were significantly higher than that of Cluster B score( r=0.317).Conclusion Patients with somato?form disorders have cognitive distortion, which is correlated with personality disorder tendency.

4.Research on classification method of burn scar hypertrophy by using support vector machine
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(02):-
This paper introduces a new method which can judge the degree of burn scar hypertrophy by analyzing chroma of the burn scar. Its technical schedule is as follows: Firstly, the image of the burn scar is captured by using a digital camera. Then the chroma emendation is performed by using an Artificial Neural Network(ANN). At last, the chroma of burn scar is analyzed and the classification of burn scar hypertrophy is given by using a Support Vector Machine(SVM). Compared with clinical evaluation, the result deduced from this method is proved to be effective.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of acute intestinal perforation in the patients with colorectal carcinoma. Methods The clinical data of 38 colorectal carcinomas complicated with acute intestinal perforation treated in our hospital during 19 years were analyzed retrospectively. Results Acute intestinal perforation was common in old patients with colorectal carcinoma (mean age 62 years). The primary lesions were mostly located in left-side colon and superior rectum(27/38,71.1%). The perforation in the proximal colon of tumor and cecum accounted for 81.6%(31/38), and in tumor site accounted for 18.4%(7/38). The correct rate of preoperative diagnosis was only 15.8%(6/38). The postoperative complications were common and severe. The perioperative mortality was 42.1%(16/38). All the causes of death were multiple organ function deficiency. There were close relations between perioperative mortality and operation time. The postoperative recurrent rate was 41.2%(7/17). Five-year survival rate was 23.5%(4/17). Conclusion Early diagnosis, early operation and active prevention and treatment of multiple organ function deficiency were key to decrease the mortality of the colorectal carcinoma patients with acute intestinal perforation.

Up to now, advantages and disadvantages in the treatment of hypertensive middle_ and large_amount cerebral hemorrhage (HMLCH) by western medicine or traditional Chinese medicine,or by medical treatment or surgical treatment still exist. Mortality and disablement rate remain high. Western medicine combined with Chinese herbal medicine shows better effect in treating HMLCH, but the related research is preliminary. Therefore, thoughts of establishing comprehensive therapeutic protocols for HMLCH are presented as follows. Western medicine combined with Chinese herbal medicine is the fundamental therapeutic principle. Proper surgical operation should be employed promptly to clear away hemotoma and relieve the symptoms first according to the situation of the patient, hospital and the surgeon. Clearing heat and calming the liver, removing blood stasis and phlegm, relaxing the bowels and restoring consciousness are the fundamental therapeutic methods for HMLCH with yang_excess syndrome, and reinforcing Qi and activating blood circulation, removing phlegm and dredging channels, relaxing the bowels and restoring consciousness for yin_excess syndrome. Routine treatment and symptomatic treatment also should be taken into account.

AIM: To investigate the protective mechanism of extract of Ginkgo biloba (EGB) on apoptosis of hippocampus neuronal cells in type 1 diabetic encephalopathic rats. METHODS: Thirty-six male Sprague-Dauley rats were divided into 3 groups: control group, diabetic group and EGB-treated group. Streptozotocin was injected intraperitoneally to the animals in later two groups to induce diabetes. The rats in EGB-treated group were injected intraperitoneally with EGB, and the same volume of normal saline was injected to the rats in other groups. At the end of the 12th week, the spatial learning and memory abilities of rats in each group were examined by Morris water maze test. Blood glucose and serum insulin concentration were measured. The neuron densities in hippocampus were measured by Image-Pro Plus 6.0 software. The expressions of Bax, Bcl-2, caspase-3 were assayed by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: Compared to control group, the level of blood glucose (P<0.01), the protein expression of Bax (P<0.01) and caspase-3 (P<0.01) in hippocampus neuronal cells, and the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2 (P<0.01) and the escape latency (P<0.01) in diabetic group, were significantly increased, while the serum insulin concentration (P<0.01), the neuronal density (P<0.05) in CA1,CA2 hippocampal regions and the platform searching score (P<0.01) were significantly deceased. After treated with EGB, the serum insulin concentration (P<0.05), the neuronal density (P<0.05) in CA1,CA2 hippocampal regions and the platform searching score (P<0.01) were significantly increased, while the level of blood glucose (P<0.01), the protein expression of Bax (P<0.05), caspase-3 (P<0.05) in hippocampus neuronal cells, the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2 (P<0.01) and the escape latency (P<0.05) were significantly deceased than those in diabetic group. The protein expression of Bcl-2 in hippocampus neuronal cells did not alter in any experimental rats. CONCLUSION: EGB improves the spatial learning and memory capacity in diabetic rats by decreasing the expression of Bax, Bax/Bcl-2 ratio and down-regulating caspase-3 to reduce neurocyte apoptosis and increase the neuron density in CA1, CA2 hippocampal regions, suggesting that effective regulation of neuron apoptosis associated genes may be one of the mechanisms for EGB to treat diabetic encephalopathy.
