4.Significance of p53 in cervical cancer and its influence on radiosensitivity
Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2017;26(5):593-597
Radiotherapy is a major local treatment for cervical cancer. However, local uncontrollability due to radioresistance is still common. Therefore, the prediction of radiosensitivity is quite beneficial to develop an optimal treatment strategy for individual patients.Multiple factors could influence the radiosensitivity of cells, and p53 status is one of them. The upstream or downstream molecules of p53 could also be regulated to affect the radiosensitivity of cervical cancer. The aim of the review is to analyze the difference in p53 status between different types of cervical cancer and to discuss how p53 regulates the response to radiotherapy.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2010;26(9):823-826
Aldosterone and metabolic syndrome are known cardiovascular risk factors associated with increased morbidity and mortality. This review focuses on the recent advances and clinical significance of the relationship between aldosterone and each single component of metabolic syndrome. The possible role of aldosterone receptor antagonist or aldosterone synthetase inhibitor in the treatment of metabolic syndrome is discussed.
6. Relationship between hepatic histopathological progression and findings of clinical noninvasive examination in patients with non-viral liver diseases
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2011;32(8):830-835
Objective To elucidate the relationship between hepatic histopathologic progression and findings of clinical noninvasive examination in patients with non-viral liver diseases. Methods A total of 222patients withnon-viral liver diseases, who received liver biopsy in our hospital, were included in the present study. The association of different histopathological progression (grade of hepatic inflammation and stage of fibrosis) with the noninvasive examination parameters (serum biochemical indicators and imaging findings) was investigated. Results We found that age, serum biochemical indicators, platelet(PLT), and ratios of aspartate aminotransferase to platelet (AST/PLT), aspartate aminotransferase to alanine aminotransferase (AST/ALT) and albumin to globulin (A/G) were significantly associated with the histopathological grades and stages of hepatictissues. The grades of inflammation were markedly different between 2 groups with ALT levels higher or lower than 1 upper limits of normal (ULN)(P=0.009); the stages of hepaticfibrosis were significantly different between 2 groups with ALT levels higher or lower than 2 ULN (P=0.030).The result of B-type ultrasonic examination was positively related to the grade of hepatic inflammation and stage of fibrosis(r=0.417,P=0.000;r=0.530,P=0.000). AST/PLT and prothrombin time (PT) levelwer significantly different between patients with hepatic fibrosis and those without(P=0.015, P=0.000); AST/ALT, AST/PLT, A/G and PT levels were also significantly different between cirrhotic patients and non cirrhotic cones (P=0.042,0.012,0.000, and 0.003, respectively). The area under ROC curve of non invasive analysis model APRI was the largest one among the 3 models. APRI model had the highest sensitivity in diagnosing liver fibrosis, but with a poor specificity; S-Index had a higher specificity but a poor sensitivity. Conclusion Clinical noninvasive parameters are valuable for evaluating the activity of Hepatic inflammation and stage of fibrosis in patients with non-viral liver diseases. Noninvasive analysis model is useful for diagnosing liver fibrosis and early cirrhosis.
7.Investigation on the anti-cancer activities of anti-p185 monoclonal antibodies in vitro
Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(01):-
To study the anti-cancer activity of the three anti-oncoprotein p185 mAbs established by surface epitope masking method so as to provide some basic information for clinical tumor targeting therapy. Methods: Immnune flurorence staining, MTT assay, soft-ar-gar culture and long-term cell proliferation assay detected the suppressive activities of the mAbs against the breast cancer cells overexpressing p185 and p185-transfected fibroblast cells, and the inducing effects of the mAbs on tumors sensitivity to chemotherapy. Results:The 3 mAbs specifically suppressed tumor cell proliferation and enhanced the sensitivity of tumors to chemotherapeutics. Conclusion:These mAbs have the potentials to develop into the clinical tumor targeting therapeutic reagents of the tumors overexpressing p185.

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2001;0(07):-
Objective To evaluate the effect of biofeedback therapy for the treatment of myogenic fecal incontinence. MethodsA general assessment about anorectal function was made on 17 cases receiving biofeedback therapy including muscle power training, sensory training and coordination training. Results The clinical scores before and after biofeedback therapy were 1.66?0.23,3.80?0.42 respectively, with an effective rate of 82%. The anus maximum contracting pressure elevated,(73?20) mm Hg vs. (123?30) mm Hg; myoelectric amplitude increased,(122?32) ?V vs. (230?41) ?V;Contracting time prolonged,(4.1?2.0) s vs. (9.4?3.0) s; The sensory threshold was lowered,(50?12) ml vs. ( 20? 10) ml;The feel-contract time increased,(3.1?0.4) s vs. (1.2?0.3) s. Positive rectal contraction reflex was seen in 41% patients before therapy compared with 82% after therapy. Conclusions Biofeedback therapy increases contractility of sphincter, decreases threshold of rectal sensory, and is a therapy of choice for myogenic fecal incontinence.

The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of different posts on the fracture mechanics of endodontically-treated teeth with open apex. Forty-eight human maxillary anterior teeth were collected, and the root was transversely sectioned 12 mm under the cementoenamal junction (CEJ). These samples were then randomly divided into two groups, i.e., minor diameter open apex root (group A) and major diameter open apex root (group B), with mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) placed into the apical 4 mm in the root canals. Subsequently, both groups were respectively further divided into three subgroups as follows: fiber-post (subgroup 1), metal post (subgroup 2) and non-post (subgroup 3) group. Teeth were restored with a composite resin crown and tested by using a universal testing machine at the rate of 1 mm/min cross-head. Values of the maximum fracture resistance and failure patterns were recorded and compared among all subgroups. In addition, the changes of MTA properties were carefully examined via X-ray photography. Our results indicate that (1) In group A, the mean value of fracture resistance for teeth restored with fiber posts were statistically higher than that with either metal post or non-post; (2) In group B, there was no statistically significant difference in the mean value of fracture resistance among three subgroups; (3) No statistical significance in the mean value of fracture resistance was found between group A and group B; (4) The failure modes of most samples (58%) were irreparable; (5) MTA in two teeth developed cracks after loading tests. In conclusion, endodontically-treated teeth restored with fiber posts are more resistant to fracture than those restored with either metal posts or non-post, and most of the fracture modes are catastrophic in nature.
