In this study, the expression of HSP70 during experimental tooth movement was dynamically observed and the relationship between HSP70 and orthodontic periodontal tissue remodeling were observed. The orthodontic appliance was placed between the right maxillary first molar and maxillary central incisors of adult SD rats to establish a rat molar movement model. Immunohistochemistry was performed 1, 3, 5, 7 and 14 day(s) after orthodontic force application to observe the expression and localization of inducible HSP70. The expression of HSP70 was strongly positive in the early stage of the tooth movement, became gradually less positive, and was weakly positive in the restoration stage. There was difference in staining pattern between different parts of PDL during the same period. These results suggest that the expression of HSP70 and difference in staining pattern among different parts of PDL during orthodontic tooth movement in rats may be implicated in stress response and remodeling of periodontal tissue.

BACKGROUND: Bone marrow necrosis has unspecific clinical features, which is often misdiagnosed or missed due to a lack of the knowledge of the disease. OBJECTIVE: To improve the awareness and vigilance to bone marrow necrosis, and to further explore the clinical manifestations, hematological characteristics, pathogenesis and treatment of bone marrow necrosis. METHODS: The bone marrow necrosis, hematologic neoplasms, solid tumor, bone marrow puncture, bone marrow pathology in Chinese and English served as the search terms to search articles related to bone marrow necrosis in PubMed and Wanfang databases, published from 1941 to 2016. Totally 43 articles were selected for review. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Bone marrow necrosis is a rare complication caused by various diseases, clinically characterized by bone pain, fever, anemia, and nucleated red cells and immature neutrophilic leukocytes in the blood smear. Bone marrow aspiration and/or bone marrow biopsy show(s) necrotic features. Its pathogenesis is complex, and it is still poorly understood and needs further research. There is no good treatment for bone marrow necrosis, and the prognosis is poor. Early correct diagnosis and etiological treatment are crucial for the prognosis of bone marrow necrosis. With the improvement of disease awareness, bone marrow cytology, genetics, MRI and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, bone marrow necrosis is expected to get a better prognosis.

ObjectiveTo compare the performance of color Doppler utrasonography (CDUS) alone, magnetic resonance imagine (MRI) alone, and the combination of the two in the diagnosis of thyroid carcinona (TC). MethodsCDUS and MRI results of 54 focuses of carcinoma in 45 cases diagnosed as TC by postoperative pathological results were reviewed. The sensitivity of CDUS, MRI, and the combination of the two in the diagnosis of TC was compared. ResultsThe sensitivity of CDUS and MRI was 77.78% (42/54)and 81.48%(44/54) respectively. The difference had no statistical significance (P > 0.05 ). The specificity of CDUS and MRI was 88.17% and 92.47% respectively, the positive predictive value was 79.25% and 86.27% respectively, and the negative predictive value was 87.23% and 89.58% respectively. The sensitivity of the combination of CDUS and MRI was 94.44% (51/54). The difference between the combination and CDUS or MRI alone had statistical significance( P <0.05). ConclusionsCDUS has higher detection rate than MRI in microcalcification of TC focus. However, MRI can show more clearly of the peripheral invasion and cervical lymph node metastasis. The combination of the two can improve the accuracy of TC diagnosis.

Objective To investigate whether exogenic brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) can permeate placental barrier into fetus and further through fetal blood brain barrier(BBB) after transient ischemia. Methods Seventeen day pregnant rats were selected. The uterine arteries of the rats were clamped for 30 minutes in experimental group. BDNF labeled with 125 I was injected into the rats through caudal veins. The radioactivity of BDNF in different fetal organs was measured at 24 h, 48 h and 72 h. Results 125 I BDNF was detected in amniotic fluid, placenta and fetal organs including brain, heart, lung, liver and kidney. This indicated that BDNF partly permeated placental barrier. The permeability of BDNF through placenta barrier and fetal BBB increased with the increased dose injected. BDNF reached the fetal brain through BBB under hypoxia eschemia condition. The rates of penetration of BDNF through placental barrier and BBB increased under the condition of fetal ischemia and hypoxia. Conclusions Exogenic BDNF may partly go through placental barrier and BBB into fetal brain, which makes it possible for BDNF to be a treatment for fetus suffered from ischemia and hypoxia.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(04):-
Three candidate antisense target sites of mouse Fas gene were screened by PARASS (poly-A anchored RNA accessible sites screening) technology. They were target at Fas gene 297nt-317nt, 618nt- 638nt and 662nt-682nt. Antisense oligos (A1, A2 and A3) and DNAzymes (D1, D2, and D3) for every target site were designed and synthesized. In vitro, the validation of the sites were judged by antisense oligos included RNase H splicing and the DNAzyme degradation. The results indicated that A1, A2 and A3 introduced RNase H degradation. DNAzymes D1, D2 and D3 cleaved Fas mRNA effectively. Neither degradation observed in antisense oligo RNase H group in non-target site (1211-1231nt) and 2 bases mismatched of A3, nor splicing occurred in DNzyme group in non-target site ( 1211-1231nt) and 2 bases mismatched of D3. Site 2 and 3 were at the same positions with those of ISIS Pharmaceuticals. The effective antisense oligos and DNAzymes for Fas gene could be used for the research subsequently.

The content of the asarone submicro emulsion injection was determind by HPLC method, and thereby a quality evaluation method was established based on indexes of pH value, particle size, peroxide value, methoxy aniline values, free fatty acid, lysophosphatidylcholine, visible foreign substances, insoluble particle, sterility, bacterial endotoxin and impurities, etc. The results showed that the injection exhibited uniform physical appearance and all the products were in milkwhite liquid. The content of the three batches products were respectively 102.9%, 100.8%, 97.70% of the labeled amount, with mean particle size of 210-250 nm, and other indexes all met with the standards. The reserved samples showed no obvious change in terms of detection indexes and indicated good stability after the accelerated stability test and long-term stability for 12 months. The quality evaluation method established in this study could be applied to quality control and stability investigation of asarone submicron emulsion injection, which laid a basis for further clinical research and application.
