Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture-moxibustion in treating urinary retention after anorectal operation.Method Forty patients with urinary retention after anorectal operation were randomly allocated to a treatment group and a control group, 20 cases each. The treatment group was intervened by acupuncture -moxibustion, and the control group by oral administration of Pyridostigmine bromide tablets. For the two groups, 10 d treatments were taken as a course. Two treatment courses later, the residual urine volume and spontaneous micturition were measured to see the changes, and the clinical efficacies were also compared. Result The total effective rate was 90.0% in the treatment group versus 70.0% in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The residual urine volume was significantly changed after the treatment in both groups (P<0.05). After the intervention, the residual urine volume in the treatment group was significantly different from that in the control group (P<0.05). After the treatment, the mean spontaneous micturition time was (16.52±3.18)min in the treatment group, versus (41.37±5.63)min in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture-moxibustion is an effective approach in treating urinary retention after anorectal operation, since it can reduce the residual urine volume and shorten the spontaneous micturition duration.

Histological characters of stems of Cirsium japonicum Fisch. ex DC. and C.chinense Gardn. et Champ. were described, compared and illustrated with line drawings. It was found that the following characters are important for disting uishing the two plants;(1) the type of stomata, vessels or fibres; (2) the presence or absence of secretory canal or tracheids.

Objective To establish the determination method of baicalin in the children's YifeiPingchuan mixture by RP-HPLC.Methods A Kromasil C18 column was used with methanol-(0.4％)phosphoric acid-triethylamine (45 ∶ 55 ∶ 2 drops) as mobile phase with a column temperature of 28 ℃.The flow rate was 1.0 ml/min.The detection wavelength was set at 277 nm.Results The linear range of baicalin was 0.040～1.000 μg (r=0.9999) with a average recovery of 99.82 and RSD of 1.01％.Conclusion The method for quantification of baicalin was sensitive,accurate,and convenient,which can also be used as one of basis of quality standard for Yifei-Pingchuan mixture.

Ureaplasma urealyticum(UU)is one of the most common pathogen in childbearing age women.The proportion of neonate especially premature baby infected with UU is increasing yearly.UU infaction is related with premature labour,low birth weight,bronchopulmonary dysplasia,chronic lung disease,respiratory distress syndrome and other perinatal diseases by promoted the expression of inflammatory cytokines,increasing the inflammatory response and interfering inflammation clear.There still has controversial point to treat perinatal diseases caused by UU infection by erythromycin,azithromycin,pulmonary surfactant,steroid.
