Objective To investigate the role of community-based intervention among diabetic patients for the control of blood glucose, blood fat, blood pressure and body weight. Methods Patients in a specific community with type 2 diabetes mellitus were selected in the study, with 133 in the exercise group,200 in the integration group and 140 in the control group.Intervention and followup were conducted for 8 months, and clinical parameters including blood glucose were detected. Results Both exercise and integrated therapeutics could decrease the levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG) and postprandial 2-h blood glucose, with a more significant descending degree in the integration group than the exercise group(P

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(1):83-88
Chemical constituents of Inula japonica were isolated and purified by repeated column chromatographies, over silica gel, and Toyopearl HW-40, and preparative HPLC. On the basis of spectral data analysis, including NMR and MS data, the structures of the isolates were elucidated and their anti-inflammatory activities were assayed. Fifteen compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of I. japonica, and their structures were elucidated as dihydrosyringenin (1), (3S, 5R, 6S, 7E)-5,6-epoxy-3-hydroxy-7-megastigmen-9-one (2), (6R, 7E) -9-hydroxy-4,7-megastigmadien-3-one (3), arnidiol (4), taraxasterol acetate (5), 8,9,10-trihydroxythymol (6), taxifolin (7), luteolin (8), napetin (9), eupatin (10), spinacetin (11), quercetin (12), p-hydroxycinnamic acid (13), caffeic acid (14), and caffeoyl acetate (15). Compounds 1, 2, 7, 13 and 15 were isolated from the genus Inula for the first time, and compounds 3, 4, 9-11 and 14 were isolated from this plant for the first time. The anti-inflammatory activity result showed that compounds 3, 6-12 and 14 exhibited inhibition effect against leukotriene C4 (LTC4) synthesis and degranulation definitely in c-Kit Ligand (KL) induced mast cells, and compound 8 and 12 also had the suppression effect against lipopolysacharide(LPS) induced nitric oxide (NO) activity in RAW264.7 macrophages. It is firstly reported that compounds 7 and 9-11 possessed potent inhibition activities against LTC4 generation and degranulation in mast cells.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2011;31(9):817-820
OBJECTIVETo explore the effects of electroacupuncture on exercise-induced immunosuppression in rats and its mechanism.
METHODSSports immunosuppressive model was established successfully by the rats were conducted high intensity swimming training 150 min/day, 6 days/wk for 8 weeks in this study. Forty-three SD rats were randomly divided into a control group (group A, n = 10), a high intensity swimming training group (group B, n = 17), and a high intensity plus electroacupuncture group (group C, n = 16). Group A did not receive any intervention. Group B was conducted 150 min/day, 6 days/wk swimming training for 8 weeks. Group C was treated with electroacupuncture at "Baihui" (GV 20), "Guanyuan" (CV 4) and "Zusanli" (ST 36) after every exercise-time from the second week, once each day for 7 weeks. The changes of the rats' weight, gamma-interferon (gamma-IFN), interleukin-2 (IL-2), solubility IL-2 receptor (SIL-2R) and nature killer cell (NKC) were detected.
RESULTS(1) Compared with group A, gamma-IFN and IL-2 in group B were significantly decreased (P < 0.01, P < 0.05), and NKC in group C was significantly increased (P < 0.01). Meanwhile, gamma-IFN and NKC in group C were both significantly higher than that in group B (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). (2) Compared with group A, the weight of the rats in group B and group C were significantly decreased (both P < 0.01), but SIL-2R in group B was significantly increased (P < 0.05). The weight of the rats in group C was significantly higher than that in group B (P < 0.05) and SIL-2R in group C was significantly lower than that in group B (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONLasting gravis exercise stress does decrease the immune function in rats and is even inhibited significantly, but electroacupuncture can up-regulate the exercise-induced immunosuppression.

Objective To explore the anatomic characteristics of the peroneal perforator branches and its clinical application as vascularized flap transfer. Methods Twenty fresh cadaver specimen with 40 sides lower limbs were used in this study.Lead oxide gelatin was injected to the whole body, lower extremity radiaograph, spiral CT scan was then used to construct three demention visual model. The peroneal artery and its perforators were dissected, number of peferators, distance to fibular head, diameter and the length of the vascular pedicles were measured and analyzed. From July 2005 to October 2009, forty-three cases with skin defects were performed vascularized transfer in our study, surviving rate and postoperative function were followed up for 6 months to 2 years. Results Perforators were seen most at (9.80 ± 0.93)cm,(13.40 ±0.90) cm,(17.20 ± 1.13)cm,and (21.30 ± 0.77)cm beneath the fibular head with the artery branch diarneter(1.33 ± 0.39) mm,(1.30 ± 0.46)mm,(1.17 ± 0.30)mm,and (1.22 ± 0.23)mm,respectively,while the pedicle length was (5.87 ± 0.73)cm,(5.83 ± 1.73)cm,(5.44 ± 1.09)cm,and (5.10 ± 1.93) cm respectively. In clinic,42/43 free flaps survived.Postoperative outlook were satisfied except in 7 cases, the flaps looked bulky and needed secondary revision. All the donor calves showed good apperaence and function. Conclusion There are 4 regular perferators in lateral calf, while perforators in the middle 1/3 are bigger with relatively longer vascular pedicles which are appropriate for vascularized transfer.

Objective To investigate the application value of functional exercise pathway in enhanced recovery of patients undergoing hepatectomy. Methods Fifty primary hepatic carcinoma patients who had undergone liver resection in Anhui Province Hospital from December 2014 to August 2015 were randomly divided into experimental group (n =25) and control group (n =25).Postoperative length of hospital stay, hospitalization charges, complications, postoperative pain score, postoperative ambulation and intestinal ventilation time were compared between these groups.Measurement data with normal distribution were represented as ((x) ± s) and comprison between groups was analyzed using the t test.Comparisons of count data were analyzed by the x2 test. Results Postoperative length of hospital stay of the experimental group [(7.00 ± 2.27) days] were shorter than control group [(9.36 ± 4.58) days] (t =3.090,P =0.003),and hospitalization expense was lower in the experimental group [(28 184.57 ± 8 675.65) yuan] (t =2.281,P =0.025).Compared with control group (40%),the experimental group (20%) had lower overall complication incidence (t =4.286,P =4.286),and general complications incidence (8%) is lower than that in control group (24%),however,the incidence of operation characteristic complications had not statistical significance in two groups.Besides, the intestinal recovery time in the experimental group was shorter than control group (experimental group 36.56 hours, control group 45.24 hours,t =2.390,P =0.019).Conclusion The application of functional exercise pathway in postoperative enhanced recovery exercise of patients undergoing hepatectomy is safe and effective, which can reduce the patients' postoperative hospital stay, hospital costs, and the general incidence of complications incidence, and be helpful for the intestinal function recovery.
