3.Clinical application MR susceptibility weighted imaging(SWI) in brain diseases
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 2007;0(10):-
Objective:To study the clinical value of susceptibility weighted imaging(SWI)in brain diseases.Methods:37 cases with blood vessel pathological change of brain diseases were collected and analyzed, including 8 example of angioma cavernosum,10 cerebral infarction,15 brain tumor,2 venous malformation and 2 venous sinus thrombus.Conventional T1WI,T2WI,DWI,the SWI and enhanced T1WI,MRA images were performed to compare the superiority of the SWI images to the others in demonstrating the small hemorrhagic focuses, the small vein, hemosiderin, calcification and other paramagnetic materials. Results:SWI could distinguish the hemorrhage from the blood vessel and discover the smaller hemorrhagic focuses of the angioma cavernosum. It could discover more tiny veins adjacent to the dilated draining vein.SWI could detect small hemorrhages in acute cerebral infarction and small draining veins in brain tumor. And draining veins in deep part and expanded rete venosum in the surfaces of brains could be obviously demonstrated when sinus venosus thrombus occurred. Conclusion:SWI is a new pulse sequence that can demonstrate the abnormal low current capacity blood vessels, the structure of small vein, the tiny hemorrhages as well as ferrugination and calcium deposition sensitively. So it can be applied in the diagnosis and antidiastole of the central nervous system diseases as an important supplement to the MRI conventional sequences.
4.Protective effect of rosmarinic acid on acute liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride in mice
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(03):-
AIM: To study the mechanism and protective effect of rosmarinic acid from Rosmarinus officinalis extract on acute hepatic injury induced by carbon tetrachloride in mice. METHODS: Mouse model of acute hepatic injury was set up by giving CCl_4 abdominally. The effects on ALT,AST avtivities,TG level in serum and MDA level in liver tissue were examined.Histological change and pathological change were observed by means of hematoxylin and eosin staining. The body weight, liver weight of each mice were measured. RESULTS: Rosmarinic acid significantly reduced the activities of ALT,AST,level of TG in serum and level of MDA in liver tissue, restrained the enlargement of liver and reduced the necrosis in pathological observation. CONCLUSION: Rosmarinic acid shows significant inhibitory effects on liver injury induced by CCl_4 in mice. The mechanisms may be related to its effects of reducing lipid peroxidation product.
5.The influence of different concentration and centrifugal parameters on TEM sample preparation of Escherichia coli
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 1986;0(03):-
Objective:To investigate the influences of different OD value and centrifugal parameters on the ultrastructure of Escherichia coli in order to find out the best OD value, speed and time of centrifugation. Methods:According to orthogonal experimental designing principle, the E.coli with different OD600 values are divided into 9 different groups of centrifuge speed and time. The changes of E.coli morphology in each group at different OD600 value, centrifuge time and speed were compared under transmission electron microscope. Results:The different OD600 values and centrifugal parameters have little influence on the ultrastructure of E.coli, but when the OD600 value at 0.8,centrifuge time at 15 min,the cross-section ratio was significantly higher than other groups and was more suitable for observation. Conclusion:The best parameter to prepare the TEM samples of E.coli is under the OD600 value at 0.8 and centrifugation time at 8 minutes and speed at 5 000~12 000 r/min.

8.Clinical application of minimally invasive hip replacement
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(52):-
Artificial hip replacement is an effective therapy to eliminate hip pain, correct deformity and restore function. With population aging and improving of people life quality, artificial hip replacement has been widely conducted.Over the past 40 years, artificial hip replacement technique has rapidly developed, and minimally invasive technology presents development direction of future artificial hip replacement.Skilled operation experience and instrument application are two key factors to ensure surgery success. The minimally invasive technology arouses more attention from clinical doctors and patients due to minimal invasion, little blood loss and fast recovery. However, not all patients can undergo minimally invasive hip replacement. This paper summarized related studies on minimally invasive hip replacement in domestic, and discussed the indications, surgical approach, complications and prevention.
9.ERYTHROCYTE SORBITOL LEVELS ARE RELATED TO THE CONTROL OF CARBOHYDRATE METABOLISM IN DIABETES MELLITUS
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1985;0(01):-
The red blood cell sorbitol levels of 23 healthy subjects and 66 diabetic patients were measured enzymatically. Results showed that erythrocyte sorbitol levels of both IDDM (17) and NIDDM (38) patients with poor control were significantly higher than that of the controls and positively correlated with the coincident plasma glucose concentration, 24-hour urinary glucose excretion and HbA1c. There was no significant difference between the red cell sorbitol concentration of NIDDM with normal blood glucose level and that of the normal group; moreover, red cell sorbitol levels did not sig-nificantly correlated with FBG in both groups. Although there was no significant difference between the FBG of poorly controlled IDDM and NIDDM groups, red blood cell sorbitol levels were significantly different in both groups. This suggested that red blood cell sorbitol level could be used as an indicator of diabetic control.
10.Pattern reversal visual evoked potentials in macular disease
Ophthalmology in China 1993;0(03):-
The present paper is an analysis of the pattern reversal visual evoked potentials (P-VEP) of macular disease (40 cases, 57 eyes), in contrast to normal persons (40 cases, 80 eyes) of similar age. The group consists of 9 different kinds of disease-central serous chorioretinopathy macular hemorrhage, macular dege-neration, etc. The authors analyzed the latency and amplitude of P-VEP in different macular disease with different course and central vision. The results showed that the latency of P-VEP in the group was relatively prolonged. In contrast to normal person P 100 was prolonged by 9.0, 26, 40 ms at 1?2′, 30′, 16′ visual angles respectively. The amplitude was obviously lowered, especially at the visual angle of 16′ and P-VEP extinguished in all the eases with visual acuity less than 0.1.The latency and the amp-litude were not related to the type and the course of the maeular disease, but were closely related to the central vision.
