2.Effect of Salvia Miltiorrhiza on Aquaporin-1 Expression in Rats Model of Lipopolysaccharideinduced Acute Lung Injury
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the effect of SM on aquaporin-1(AQP-1) expression in rats with acute lung injury(ALI) induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS). Method 48 SD rats were randomly divided into normal group,ALI 7-day group,ALI 8-hour group,SM prevention group,SM 7-day treatment group, and SM 8-hour treatment group,8 rats per group. At 8 hours and 7 days after treatment, lung wet to dry weight ratio, lung pathology, electron microscope,AQP-1 immunohistochemistry, and AQP-1 Western blotting were performed. The situation of hemorheology and serum level of PaO2 and Endothelin-1(ET-1) were also detected. Results The model group rats all appeared ALI symptom. Compared with the 7-day ALI group, the degree of lung edema statement alleviated in SM 7-day treatment group. But the expression difference of AQP-1 was not significant between the two groups(P
3.Establish Rat Models with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Renal Injury and Expression of CD34 in Nephros
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the metabolism characteristics and CD34 variance of SD rats models with type 2 diabetes renal injury with high grease feeding and low-dose STZ injection. Methods 60 male SD rats with 4-week old were randomized into two groups:10 in the control group feeding with normal forage,50 in the DM group feeding with high grease forage, which consist of 10% lard,10% glucose,1% cholesterol,2% yolk powder, and 1% sodium cholate adding into the normal feeds. Intravenous injection of STZ after feeding 4 weeks (35 mg/kg). All the rats were tested with OGTT after 10 days and 30 days injection of STZ. Serum insulin was measured by radioimmunoassay (RIA) and immunohistochemistry staining was adopted to observe the positive expression of renal CD34 molecular. Results FBG of rats with diabetes and renal injury was significantly higher than that in the control group (P

OBJECTIVE To study the effect of chronic intermittent hypoxia and removal of hypoxia on learning and memory ability in Sprague-Dawley rats and the synaptophysin expression in hippocampus CA3 region.METHODS Experiments were performed on 24 three-month-old male Sprague-Dawley rats,They were randomly assigned to three experimental groups(n=8/group):unhandled control group(UC),chronic intermittent hypoxia group(CIH),and Removal of hypoxia group(RH).Rats in UC group were raised normally, those in CIH group suffered 8H intermittent hypoxia everyday, the duration of experiment was 4 weeks, and those in RH group was treated as same as those in CIH group in the first 4 weeks and were raised normally in the next 4 weeks. The learning and memory ability of rats in each group were assessed with the Morris water maze test at the end of the experiments. The expression of synaptophysin in hippocampus CA3 region was investigated by immunohistochemistry staining and image analysis.RESULTS ①Morris water maze test learning scores(place navigation):From the beginning, the escape latency in CIH rats was significantly longer than that in UC rats and RH rats(P
6.Supplementary teaching contents for clinical teaching in department of urology surgery and its ;reflection
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2013;(12):1256-1258
With the development in the diagnosis and treatment of urological diseases and im-provement of minimally invasive technology in recent years, some apparent diseases and concepts of new technology can't be mentioned in teaching practice including functional diseases of lower urinary tract, further discussion of prostatic cancer and minimally invasive technology, etc. We elaborated on the importances, teaching significances and key points of these teaching contents in order to improve the knowledge teaching system.

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of cervical cerclage in the treatment of pregnant with uterine cervical incompetence. Methods The clinical and follow -up data of 25 pregnant women with uterine cervi-cal incompetence who taken cervical cerclage were retrospectively analyzed. Results In 25 pregnant women with uterine cervical incompetence, there were 22 cases of neonatal survival,3 cases of abortion, surgical success rate was 88.0%.Conclusion Cervical cerclage is effective in the treatment of pregnant women with uterine cervical incompe-tence,and the timing of surgery should choose 14 -18 weeks gestation.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of diacerhein in the treatment of patients with knee osteoarthritis. Methods The efficacy and safety of diacerhein was randomly investigated in 42 pa- tients with knee osteoarthritis using parallel group methodology and a double-dummy technique to ensure dou- ble blind status with respect to diacerhein and control drugs diclofenac. Results Significant changes were ob- served in 20 meters walk pain, knee joint tenderness scale,WOMAC index scale,5F-36 health survey, knee joint swelling scale, compared with baseline(P>0.05)in both diacerhein and diclofenac group respectively. No difference was found between diacerhein group and diclofenae group. The patient global assessment and physi- cian's global assessment were similar in diacerhein group and diclofenac group(P>0.05).The side effect was similar in two groups. All of these side effects in gastrointestinal tract appeared to be transient. Conclusion Diacerhein can effectively relieve pain and swelling of knee osteoarthritis, and provides us a new effective and safe approach for treating knee osteoarthritis.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(6):949-954
The blood-brain barrier (BBB) protects the brain against unwanted substances, while, at the same time, limits the transport of many drugs into the brain. Aromatic refreshing traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) can induce resuscitation and modify the permeability of BBB, promoting other drugs entering into the brain with brain protection effect. This paper mainly reviews the research progress in regulation effects and mechanism of usual aromatic refreshing TCM, such as borneol, moschus, styrax, benzoinum and Tatarinow Sweetflag Rhizome, on BBB permeability. To broaden the application of these drugs in modern pharmaceutics in the future, the relatively research should emphasis on combining aromatic refreshing TCM with new formulations and technologies in pharmaceutics, providing novel promising strategies for brain diseases therapy.
