Objective To evaluate the application of three-dimensional (3D) scanning in the measurements and analyses of breast morphology changes that occur after breast augmentation. Methods Pre- and postoperative breast 3D images were obtained in 18 patients (36 breasts) undergoing augmentation mammaplasty by 3D scanning. All implants were round sillicone and planted under pectoral muscle. Average implant volume was 232.2 mL, and average projection was 3.46 cm. The number of implants in low profile implant group was 12( h < 3.0 cm), and 16 in moderate group ( 3.0 ≤ h < 4.0 cm), 8 in high group ( h ≥ 4.0 cm). The following parameters were measured by Geomagic 10.0: volume, projection, angle and distance of key landmarks, and symmetry degree. Results The increased volume of breast was corresponding with the implant volume (P >0.05). Postoperative breast projection was 12.9 %, less than expected projection (preoperative + implant projection). The values in low, moderate, and high profile group were 5.2 %, 15.1%, and 20.2 %,respectively. Conclusion 3D scanning is a quick, convenient, accurate and non-contact method for measurement of breast morphology, and it is promising in breast plastic surgery in the future.

Objective To detect the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)-C and VEGF-D in normal gastric tissue and gastric carcinoma tissue, and further investigate the relationship between VEGF-C,VEGF-D and lymph vessel density (LVD),lymph node metastasis. Methods The expression of VEGF-C and VEGF-D in gastric carcinoma tissues were examined by using SP immunohistochemical method in 30 normal gastric tissue and 75 gastric carcinoma tissue respectively. The lymph vessel were marked by LYVE-1 and calculated LVD.Results The rate of positive expression of VEGF-C and VEGF-D in gastric carcinoma tissue was significantly higher than that in normal gastric tissue, there was significant difference [73.3 % (55/75) vs.33.3 % (10/30),66.7 % (50/75) vs.30.0 % (9/30),P <0.01].The level of LVD in gastric carcinoma tissue with lymph node metastasis (40 cases) was significantly higher than that in without lymph node metastasis (35 cases)[(8.85 ± 1.24)/HP vs.(4.75 ± 1.04)/HP](P =0.000).The level of LVD increased when the expression level of VEGF-C and VEGF-D gradually went up.Conclusions The level of LVD increases in gastric carcinoma tissue.VEGF-C and VEGF-D are two significant factors for LVD and lymph node metastasis.

0.05).It was revealed that all the patients followed up 3 to 6 months after treatment were free from complaints of the involved teeth, with nomal food intake and mastication. No abnormal adjacent tissues of dental roots were detected by imaging examination. Conclusion For the vital teeth, the similar clinical effect may be obtained by one-visit RCT and multi-visit RCT.

AIM: To establish the method of determining cinobufagin and resibufogenin in Xinkening Capsules(Venenum Bufonis,etc.). METHODS: HPLC was applied to determining cinobufagin and resibufogenin. The determination was carried out using an ODS column with a solvent system: methanol-water(50∶40).The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min,detection wavelength was at 296 nm. RESULTS: The linear ranges of cinobufagin and resibufogenin were 3.5 ?g-0.28 ?g and 3.75 ?g-0.30 ?g,respectively. The average recoveries of cinobufagin and resibufogenin were 99.86%(RSD=1.8%,n=5),and 99.84%(RSD=1.2%,n=5),respectively. CONCLUSION: This method is simple, accurate with strong specificity and can be used to control the quality of Xinkening Capsules.

In order to treat or prevent portal vein metastases of liver cancer, intraportal chemotherapies were carried on in 18 and in 42 patients with and without portal vein thrombosis. The agents used were Pharmorubicin 30 mg, Mitomycin—C 8 mg and 5—Flurouracil 500 mg. The results showed that the incidence of portal thrombosis in preventive group (19.04%) was lower than that in control group (38.9%) (P

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2017;19(1):81-84
Objective To compare the clinical outcomes of bone transport technique versus induced membrane technique for treatment of infected bone nonunion. Methods A retrospective study was made on 46 cases of infected bone nonunion admitted from April 2011 to December 2014.They were 33 males and 13 females, aged from 12 to 68 years (mean,45.3 years),involving 40 tibial and 6 femoral fractures.Bone transport technique was used in 37 cases while 9 cases were treated with induced membrane technique.Fracture union and complications were recorded. The function of the affected limb was evaluated at the final follow-up using Johner-Wruhs criteria. Results The 46 cases were followed up for 9 to 18 months (mean,14 months). In the bone transport group, bone union was achieved after a mean duration of 6.5 months (range, from 4 to 11 months) without complications like wound infection or neurovascular lesions. In the induced membrane group, bone union was achieved after a mean duration of 5.8 months (range, from 4 to 11 months) and there was one case of re-infection.According to the Johner-Wruhs score system,34 cases were rated as excellent,9 as good and 3 as fair, with a total excellent and good rate of 93.5%.Bone transport technique led to 28 excellent,4 good and one fair cases in the patients with tibial nonunion, and one excellent,2 good and one fair cases in the patients with femoral nonunion.Induced membrane technique led to 3 excellent,3 good and one fair cases in the patients with tibial nonunion, and 2 excellent cases in the patients with femoral nonunion. Conclusions Both bone transport technique and induced membrane technique are effective for infected bone nonunion.Bone transport technique may be preferred for tibial infected nonunion while induced membrane technique preferred for femoral infected nonunion.
