Objective Face-down positioning after vitrectomy and gas tamponade is still the standard position for patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. The study was to compare the nursing effects of face-down position and flexible position after vitrecto-my for the repair of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Methods We investigated 120 cases of patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in this study. All patients received vitrectomy with long-acting gas for tamponade, 60 patients in face-down position and 60 in the flexible position.Patients were followed up for 6 months.Observation was made on the rates of anatomical retinal reattachment and postoperative complications between the groups. Results The rates of anatomical retinal reattachment after surgery were 88.33%in the face-down position group and 100% in the flexible position group respectively. As to the satisfaction of position, the flexible position group was 100%, which was much higher than 41.67%in face-down position group(P<0.01). Conclusion Flexible position nurs-ing after vitrectomy and gas tamponade for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment repair is safe and effective.Flexible position can replace face-down position for the comfort of patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment after vitrectomy with gas tamponade.

Objective To investigate the effects of maternal long-term exposure to low-dose trichlorfon on the serum paraoxonase (PON) activity of pregnant mice and development of embryos. Methods Female ICR mice (n=120) were randomly divided into control group and trichlorfon groups of different doses, and were managed by intragastric injection with trichlorfon of 0,2,10 and 50mg/kg,respectively. All the mice were managed once a day for a consecutive of 27 days, and were subjected to mating. The pregnant mice were continued to be managed with trichlorfon for 3 days, and were sacrificed on day 3 of gestation. The serum PON and acetylcholinesterase (AchE) activities were detected, and the development of embryos was evaluated. Results The serum PON activity of 2,10 and 50mg/kg trichlorfon group were (14.15?1.22),(12.78?1.80) and (10.45?1.95)IU/mL,respectively,and that of 50mg/kg trichlorfon group was significantly lower than that of control group [(13.37?2.31)IU/mL] (P0.05),while the the percentage of abnormal embryos of 50mg/kg trichlorfon group had an increased tendency. Conclusion Long-term exposure to low-dose trichlorfon can inhibit serum PON and AchE activity in pregnant mice without obvious effect on the development of embryos.

Objective To study the expression of Ca-A/K channel-related molecules glutamate receptor 2 and 1(GluR2/1) in hippocampus tissues of neonatal rats with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD). Methods A total of 60 7-day-old Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham operation group and HIBD group. Hippocampal tissues were obtained at 0 h, 1 h, 6 h, 24 h, 48 h and 72 h after HIBD. The expression of GluR2, GluR1 and autophagy marker protein Beclin-1, LC3 were detected by Western blot assay. Results Edema and focal softening and necrosis were observed 6 h after HIBD in the brains of neonatal rats. Compared with Con group, at each time point, the expression levels of GluR2 were lower while the levels of GluR1, Beclin-1 and LC3 were higher significantly in HIBD group (P<0.05). The protein levels of LC3, Beclin-1, GluR1 and GluR2 in hippocampus tissues of HIBD group were significantly different among different time points after the estab-lishment of HIBD model (F=10.65~701.14, P<0.01). The protein level of GluR2 was decreased from 1 h to 24 h after HIBD and reached the lowest level at 24 h. The levels of GluR1, Beclin-1 and LC3 were increased at 6 h, plateaued at 24 h and remained there until 48 h. The levels of these proteins returned back to the initial level at 72 h. Conclusions Ca-A/K channel-related mol-ecules GluR2 and GluR1 play important roles in the autophagic cell death of hippocampus tissues in neonatal rats with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the efficacy and safety of tiaogan Lipi Recipe (TLR) in treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) patients of Gan stagnation Pi deficiency syndrome (GSP-DS).
METHODSA randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial was performed. Totally 99 NAFLD patients of GSPDS were randomly allocated into two groups, 66 patients in the treatment group (treated with-TLR, one dose per day) and 33 patients in the control group (treated with placebos, one dose per day). The therapeutic course for all was 12 weeks. All patients received lifestyle interventions including moderate aerobic exercise, moderate caloric restriction, and dietary changes. Clinical symptoms, CT indices, liver functions and blood lipids were observed before and after treatment.
RESULTSAfter 12 weeks of treatment, the total score of clinical symptoms decreased in the two groups (P <0. 01), and it was lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P <0. 05). Liver/spleen CT ratio increased in the treatment group (P <0. 01), and it was higher in the treatment group than in the control group (P <0. 01). After treatment levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) all decreased in the treatment group (P <0. 05, P <0. 01), while levels of ALT decreased in the control group (P <0. 05). Besides, all the 3 levels mentioned above were lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P <0. 05). Levels of total cholesterol (CHO) and triglyceride (TG) decreased in the two groups (P <0. 05), and they were lower in the treatment group (P <0. 05). Total effective rates of TCM syndrome, abdominal CT, liver functions, and blood lipids were 79. 69% (51/64 cases), 54. 69% (35/64 cases), 67. 65% (23/34 cases), and 67. 39% (31/46 cases) in the treatment group, while they were 56. 25% (18/32 cases), 25. 00% (8/32 cases), 33. 33% (6/18 cases), and 55. 56% (10/18 cases) in the control group. All were superior in the treatment group (P <0.05, P <0.01, respectively).
CONCLUSIONTLR combined with lifestyle intervention could safely and effectively improve clinical symptoms of NAFLD patients of GSPDS, elevate liver/spleen CT ratios, and play a role in liver protection, anti-inflammation, and lowering blood lipids.

Objective:To compare the clinical effects of ultrasound-guided intra-articular and coracohumeral ligament glucocorticoid injections versus ultrasound-guided intra-articular glucocorticoid injections alone on frozen shoulder in the elderly. Methods:A total of 44 patients with frozen shoulder admitted to the rehabilitation department of the Affiliated Hospital of Sichuan Nursing Vocational College from September 2019 to June 2020 were enrolled. They were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 22 patients in each group. The experimental group received two consecutive ultrasound-guided intra-articular injections and two coracohumeral ligament injections, while the control group received two consecutive ultrasound-guided intra-articular injections. The shoulder's passive range-of-motion(PROM), the 11-point numeric rating scale(NRS)as well as the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index(SPADI)were conducted before treatment, 1 week after the first treatment(1 week), 1 week after the second treatment(2 weeks)and 10 weeks after the second treatment(12 weeks). Results:There was no significant difference in baseline characteristics between the two groups(all P>0.05). Flexion, abduction, extension and external rotation increased whereas NRS and SPADI decreased after treatment, compared with pre-treatment in the experimental group( F=11.341, 20.965, 20.403, 32.470, 82.970 and 102.154, all P<0.05)and in the control group( F=7.012, 8.937, 23.265, 31.966, 52.500 and 41.356, all P<0.05). Compared with the control group, extension( t=0.365, 0.143 and 0.236, all P<0.05)and external rotation( t=0.205, 0.620 and 2.751, all P<0.05)increased at 1, 2 and 12 weeks after treatment.SPADI scores were lower in the experimental group than in the control group at 12 weeks after treatment( t=2.063, P=0.045). There was no significant difference in NRS, flexion or abduction between the two groups at any time point after treatment(all P>0.05). No serious adverse reactions occurred during treatment in either group. Conclusions:Both ultrasound-guided intra-articular injections plus coracohumeral ligament injections and ultrasound-guided intra-articular injections can effectively alleviate pain and improve function in elderly patients with frozen shoulder, but the former has better effects on extension. For patients with clear restricted extension and external rotation, ultrasound-guided intra-articular injections combined with coracohumeral ligament injections may achieve better clinical effects.
