Objective To compare efficacy and side effects of intravenous versus oral indomethacin treatment for symptomatic patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) in preterm infants. Methods Fourty-nine preterm infants were reviewed retrospectively who were diagnosed as having symptomatic PDA confirmed by echocardiography.According to the using type and approach that were divided into 2 groups (intravenous group,n=21;oral group,n=28) and their doses and intervals were same. The rates of ductal closure and side effects were compared in 2 groups. Results There were no significantly different between 2 groups in single ductal closure and complicating other diseases. Soon closure of intravenous group was higher significantly than oral group [61.9 %(13/21) vs 28.6 %(8/28),P

This research established an HPLC method for determination of six C-Glycoside flavones of warer-soluble total flavonoids from Isodon lophanthoides var. gerardianus (Benth.) H. Hara, and studied the antitumor activity of the warer-soluble total flavonoids. The HPLC system consisted of Kromasil 100-5 C18 (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 microm) column and a solution system of methanol, acetonitrile and 0.5% formic acid gradient elution at a flow rate of 0. 8 mL x min(-1) and the wavelength of detector was at 334 nm. The column temperature was 25 degrees C. The antitumor activity of water-soluble flavonoids was assayed using HepG2 cell as the tested cell. The linear ranges of vicenin II, vicenin III, isoschaftoside, schaftoside, vitexin, 6, 8-di-C-a-L-arabinosylapigenin were 0.25-2.53, 0.12-1.20, 0.37-3.69, 0.16-1.63, 0.19-1.92, 0.14-1.42 microg, respectively. The average recoveries (n = 6) were 99.6% (RSD 0.87%), 100.2% (RSD 2.0%), 99.6% (RSD 1.8%), 97.9% (RSD 1.5%), 98.8% (RSD 1.2%), 98.6% (RSD 1.2%), respectively. After exposure in 24, 48, 72 h, the total flavonoids showed inhibitory effect on the proliferation of HepG2 cells with IC50 as the evaluation index, the IC50 values of 1.89, 1.71, 1.51 g x L(-1), respectively. The method is quick, simple and accurate with good re- producibility, and can be used for determination of vicenin II, vicenin III, isoschaftoside, schaftoside, vitexin, 6, 8-di-C-a-L-arabino- sylapigenin in the warer-soluble total flavonoids from L lophanthoides var. gerardianus. The warer-soluble total flavonoids from L lophanthoides have inhibitory effect on the proliferation of HepG2 cells.

Chinese Journal of Cardiology 2011;39(1):40-44
OBJECTIVETo evaluate the CT imaging characteristics of incomplete and complete myocardial bridges-mural coronary artery (MB-MCA).
METHODSFifty subjects with dual source coronary CT angiography (DSCTA) evidenced MB were included. The subjects were divided into incomplete MB-MCA and complete MB-MCA groups. The diameter of MCA in best systole phase and diastole phase, the MCA stenosis rate, the presence of atheromatous change proximal to the MB were evaluated.
RESULTSThere were 58 MB, the average length was (2.02 ± 1.02) cm, 23 were incomplete MB and 35 were complete MB. Thirty-two MB were in the middle segments of left anterior descending artery (55.2%); 17 MB were in the distal segment of the left anterior descending artery (29.3%); 1 MB was in the proximal segment of left anterior descending artery; 3 MB in diagonal branch; 4 MB in obtuse marginal branch, 1 MB in distal right coronary artery. It was statistically significant difference between the incomplete MB-MCA and the complete MB-MCA of the diameter change in diastole and systole phase [(1.93 ± 0.49) mm, (1.71 ± 0.45) mm vs. (2.21 ± 0.41) mm, (1.63 ± 0.52) mm, P = 0.008] and stenosis rate (10.38% ± 20.2% vs. 25.12% ± 21.02%, P = 0.01). Atherosclerotic finding was evidenced in 8 incomplete MB (34.78%) and 15 complete MB (42.86%) at the proximal vessel of mural coronary artery (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONDSCTA can vividly display the incomplete and complete myocardial MB, accurately evaluate the shape change of MB-MCA in diastole and systole phase and detect the atherosclerotic change in the proximal vessel of MB.

Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine 2009;43(7):619-621
OBJECTIVETo establish the focus management mode and the report criteria more perfectly for the virus hepatitis cases, especially for the hepatitis B.
METHODSOne district was set as the research area, in which there was enough cases resource and relatively separated from the other districts, then a first or second-class hospital was appointed to take the cases focus diagnosis, report and management.
RESULTSThe focus hospitals had reported 97% (323/331) of cases in the research area between June,2007 and June,2008; moreover, the rate in establishing case-card was 97.21% (314/323), as compared with that in period of 2007 (261), the cases reported declined 61.30% in the first half year of 2008 (101).
CONCLUSIONIt should be an imperative situation to establish a report criteria and management mode for virus hepatitis (hepatitis B), however it is necessary to have more supports from health administrations.

OBJECTIVETo establish a method of quality control on qianliebeixi capsules.
METHODTo clarify semen vaccarine by TLC, to determinate the contents of quertin and kaempferol in prepations, by HPLC. Chromatographic conditions: C18 column with METH-0.2%H3PO4(47:53) as mobile phase; the temperature of column was 40 degrees C, and quercetin was detected at 370 nm with flowing rate 1 ml/min.
RESULTThe spots of semen vaccarine were clear in TLC, no interference in negative contrast. The average recovery rate of quertin was 98.9% and the RSD was 2.2%; the average recovery rate in kaempferol was 100.4% and the RSD was 1.7%.
CONCLUSIONThe resolution of spots were perfect in TLC, the spots were easy to distinguish, The method is simple, rapid as well as reproducible and can control the quality of qianliebeixi capsules effectively.

OBJECTIVETo establish the fingerprint detecting standard of xinshao Injection by reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography.
METHODThe chromatographic conditions were as follows: an Diamonsil C18 column was used, the mobile phase was composed of 80% acetontrile and 0.1% phosphoric acid with gradient elution, the flow rate 1.0 mL min(-1), column temperature was 40 degrees and the UV absorbance detection was set at 230 nm.
RESULTA standard HPLC fingerprint procedure was developed for xinshao Injection, with 8 common peaks. Under the same selected chromatographic conditions, the HPLC fingerprints of raw drugs and their intermediate, finished products were obtained with good separation and correlation (no less than 0.97) according to the technical requirements of fingerprint on Injection of Chinese traditional medicine.
CONCLUSIONThis method was accurate, repeatable and can be used as the important parameters of the quality control for xinshao injection.
