Background Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) is a safe and effective therapy to the treatment of primary open angle glaucoma (POAG),and the clinical application is approved by American FDA.However, the relevant researching outcomes from several single-center study are in dispute owing to non-uniform approach in China.A muhicenter clinical trial is need to verify the effectiveness of SLT for Chinese POAG.Objective This study was to investigate the safety and efficacy of SLT in Chinese POAG patients. Methods A prospective, multicenter and self-controlled clinical trail was designed.Sixty-two eyes of 62 POAG patients with the age of ≥ 18 years were enrolled.Frequency SLT was performed around 360° angle using Lumenis Selecta DuetTM or Lumenis Selecta Ⅱ laser instrument, with the 100 non-overlapping spots,3 ns preset time,400 μm size of laser spot and 0.6 mJ energy. The operated eyes were followed-up for 6 months. The curative effects were checked including intraocular pressure (IOP),IOP-lowing value, number and percentage of IOP-lowing 20% and 30%.The therapyrelated complications were recorded including the number of conjunctival congestion and cloudy of the anterior chamber. Results The preoperative IOP was (25.7±2.6) mmHg in the 62 eyes. The IOP was significantly lowed 1 day,2 weeks,4 weeks,3 months and 6 months after SLT in comparison with preoperative IOP (all at P<0.001) with the lowest value of (16.5±4.5)mmHg in postoperative day 1.IOP was stable from 4 weeks to 6 months after operation. The mean lowing-value of IOP was 5.3-9.2 mmHg from 1 day through 6 months after SLT.The percentage of eyes 20% drop in lOP was 83.9%,and that of 30% drop was 58.1% in postoperative day 1.In 6 months after SLT,percentages of eyes 20% and 30% drop in IOP were 56.5% and 27.4%,respectively.Conclusions SLT is a safe and effective method of lowing IOP for POAG eyes in Chinese population.

Objective To compare the clinical effect and safety of percutaneous vertebroplasty between unipedicular and bipedicular approach for patients with osteoporosis vertebral compressive fractures. Methods A retrospective study was carried out on 147 patients with single osteoporotic vertebral compressive fractures from 2008 to 2014. Ninety-five cases were treated by PVP via a unipedicular approach (unipedicular group) and 52 cases were treated by the bipedicular approach (bipedicular group). The operation time, Cobb, frequency of X-ray exposure, complications like bone cement and postoperative VAS score were compared. Results No significant differences on the VAS score, cobb and complications were found (P > 0.05). However, there were significant differences on the operation time and X-ray exposure frequency (P<0.05). Conclusions No significant differences on clinical effects were found between the unipedicular and the bipedicular approach to percutaneous vertebroplasty for osteoporosis vertebral compressive fractures. However, the unipedicular approach can shorten the operation time and reduce X-ray exposure.

BACKGROUND:Increasing studies have found that, percutaneous vertebroplasty and bone cement are characterized by few traumas, few bleeding, simple operation, rapid recovery, rapid pain relief, and effective efficacy. However, tumor recurrence, symptom improvement, bone cement leakage and other complications make people controversial. OBJECTIVE: To explore and summarize clinical outcomes and safety of percutaneous vertebroplasty and bone cement for treating symptomatic vertebral hemangioma. METHODS:Fifty-two cases patients of symptomatic vertebral hemangioma (including 21 male and 31 female, aged 16-63 years) were treated with percutaneous vertebroplasty and bone cement. The lesions were found at T5-T12 in 36 cases and at L1-L3 RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Al 52 patients were folowed up for at least 6 months after the operation. The Visual Analogue Scale and Oswestry Disability Index were significantly increased at 1 day, 3 weeks and 6 months post-surgery, when compared to before surgery (P< 0.05); the modified Macnab evaluation was excelent in 40 cases, good in 7 cases, fair in 3 cases, and poor in 2 cases, and the excelent and good rate was 90%. Only one patient had recurrence at 6 months after surgery and one patient had the leakage of bone cement. No other complications were found. Percutaneous vertebroplasty and bone cement could effectively cure vertebral hemangioma and relieve the pain, which is a safe treatment. in 16 cases. Clinical outcomes such as Visual Analogue Scale, Oswestry Disability Index and modified Macnab criteria, as wel as complication before and after surgery were evaluated.

OBJECTIVETo establish and experimental verification the mathematical model of the balance groups that is the steady-state of traditional Chinese medicine in extraction.
METHODUsing the entropy and genetic principles of statistics, and taking the coefficient of variation of GC fingerprint which is the naphtha of the Houttuynia cordata between strains in the same GAP place as a pivot to establish and verify the mathematical model was established of the balance groups that is the steady-state of traditional Chinese medicine in extraction.
RESULTA mathematical model that is suitable for the balance groups of the steady-state of traditional Chinese medicine and preparation in extraction, and the balance groups which is 29 683 strains (approximately 118.7 kg) were gained with the same origin of H. cordata as the model drug.
CONCLUSIONUnder the GAP of quality control model, controlling the stability of the quality through further using the Hardy-Weinberg balance groups of the H. cordata between strains, the new theory and experiment foundation is established for the steady-state of traditional Chinese medicine in extraction and quality control.
