To investigate the clinical significance of the expression of CD40L on peripheral blood monocytes and the changes in serum soluble CD40L in patients with acute coronary syndrome, 16 normal controls and fifty-six patients including 24 with SA (8 patients after PTCA), 20 with UA and 12 with AMI entered in this study. The expression of CD40L on monocytes was analyzed by indirect immonofluorescence flow cytometry and serum sCD40L levels were measured by ELISA. The results showed: (1) The expression of CD40L on monocytes in UA and AMI were higher compared with SA and controls ( P 0.05). (2) Patients with UA and AMI had significantly raised serum levels of sCD40L when compared with patients with SA and controls( P

Modern Clinical Nursing 2014;(8):23-26
Objective To explore the applications effect of evidence-based nursing in the health education for patients with mixed vaginal infections. Methods One hundred and sixty-eight patients with mixed vaginal infection were divided into observation group(n=84) and control group(n=84).Based on the evidence-based nursing method, the observation group first raised questions, then sought evidence to determine the conclusion according to the literature search, and finally combined with clinical evidence to formulate a reasonable plan for health education and effectively implemented. The control group was given conventional nursing. The two groups were compared in terms of rate of disease-related awareness in return visit 1 month after discharge, behavior 2 months after discharge and disease relapse 6 months after discharge. Results The rate of disease-related awareness and behavior in the experiment group were better than those of the control group significantly(all P<0.05).The rate of disease relapse of the experiment group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion Application of evidence-based nursing method for patients with vaginal infections in health education can guide the nurses' health education target, improve the patients' cognitive and behavior and reduce the rate of disease relapse.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2006;26(5):591-3
The cell killing effects and bystander effects of double suicide gene on pulmonary carcinoma cells were explored. Lung adenocarcinoma cells (A549) were transfected with different titers of adenovirus vector and followed with different concentrations of 5-FC after a recombinant adenovirus vector carrying CD/UPRT gene (Ad-CD/UPRT) was constructed. The cell viability was measured by MTT assay 4 days later. The cell viability was dropped to 30.57 %-8.62 % after 10 MOI of Ad-CD/UPRT transfected and 5-FC (10-1000 microg/mL) administration. Furthermore, Ad-CD/UPRT-infected A549 cells showed a profound neighbor cell killing effect in the same methods. These results suggested that Ad-CD/UPRT/5-FC system can effectively suppress growth of lung adenocarcinoma cells, which may provide a novel and powerful candidate for lung cancer gene therapy strategies.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2001;0(06):-
Objective To research tumor cell apoptosis induced by Lp-THAE of rabbit VX2 liver implanted tumor. Methods 27 New Zealand white rabbits implanted with VX2 tumor at left middle lobe of the liver divided into three groups:Group A(n = 9) Lp-THAE:treated through transhepatic artery catheterization;Group B(n = 9) THAI and Group C(n = 9) as control. The rabbits were executed at second to fifth day after treatment.HE dye microscopy was taken for counting the typical apoptosis cells and calculating apoptosis index(ApI).FITC-AnnexinV/PI assay was used for measuring apoptosis by flow cytometry. Results The ApI of tumor central area and marginal area were(17.769 ? 2.417)%,(4.129 ? 1.172)%,P

9.A molecular-epidemiologic study on TEM-1 genes of Neisseria gonorrhoeae in Wuxi area.
Chinese Journal of Epidemiology 2004;25(1):58-59
OBJECTIVEIn order to study the epidemiology of TEM-1 genes of Neisseria gonorrhoeae (Ng) in Wuxi area.
METHODSIn the light from foreign literature that positive Ng strains of beta-lactamase contain plasmid sequences of TEM-1 genes, heminested PCR for TME-1 genes of Ng detection was self-designed. Ng of 195 strains were detected, that were isolated in Wuxi area from Jan to the Oct, 2002.
RESULTSThere were 138 TEM-1 genes positive in 195 isolated strains with a positive rate of 70.8%. There was one case of heminested PCR product of TEM-1 genes which showed the homogeneity was 99% in Wuxi area, when comparing with pFA7 sequences of positive Ng plasmid of beta-lactase from register GenBank.
CONCLUSIONData showed that the Ng strains with TEM-1 genes were the prevalent ones in Wuxi area.

Due to the large population and relatively closed space environment , the subway system is vulnerable to bioterrorist attacks. This paper analyzes the technological response measures against subway bioterrorism in the United States, including Detect to Protect program of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and PROTECTS program of Depart-ment of Energy ( DOE) .We also put forward some proposals on how to improve China′s capability of prevention of and response to subway bioterrorism .
