Objective To evaluate the curative efficacy of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) on bile leaks after orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). Methods Data of 12 cases, hospitalized in our hospital from March 2013 to February 2016, with bile leaks after OLT confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging of the pancreas (MRCP) or ERCP were retrospectively analyzed . The curative efficacy of ERCP was evaluated including clinical symptoms of bile leaks and complications, occurrence time and location, diagnosis and treatment process and efficacy. Results In this study, 12 cases were male patients, with the average age of 49.75 ± 8.55 (age from 35 to 62 years old). Among them 11 cases were successfully treated by endoscopic nasobiliary drainage (ENBD), and the success rate of endoscopical therapy was 91.7%, the curative rate of bile leaks was 91.7%(11/12). No ERCP related serious complications and death were found in patients. Nine cases combined with biliary strictures and/or biliary duct stone/bile plug were performed endoscopic sphinctrotomy (EST) during the first time of ERCP, and accepted further ERCP treatment after 2 weeks when the bile leaks were healed. All patients with ENBD were carried out well except one case. Conclusion ERCP is a safe and effective minimally invasive treatment method for different types of bile leaks after OLT.

Objective To establish a gas chromatography(GC) method for the determination of camphor, isoborneol, borneol, cinnamaldehyde and eugenol in Tonglikang ointment. Methods Polyethylene glycol with 100 %of application concentration was used as stationary liquid phase.GC was equipped with FID detector at 250 ℃and programmed heating method was applied. Results The resolution and the linearity were good with the recovery rate of camphor being 96.21 %(RSD=1.03 %),isoborneol 97.34 %(RSD=0.99 %),borneol 97.07 %(RSD=1.00 %),cinnamaldehyde 96.00 %(RSD=1.37 %),and eugenol 100.99 %(RSD=1.07 %) respectively. Conclusion The method is convenient, rapid and accurate. It can be used to control the quality of Tonglikang ointment.

Objective This study was aimed to investigate the expression of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) mRNA in rats with acute methanol poisoning. Methods Animal models of acute methanol poisoning in rats were duplicated using a plexiglas chamber exposed to a mixture of N2O/O2. Right atrium venous blood of rats were taken at each time point (2 h, 12 h, 24 h,3 d,1 w), and gas chromatography was used to determine the methanol concentration of the rat blood (n=5) . Then got brain tissue to extract total RNA and reverse transcription (n=3) . SYBRGreen real-time PCR was used to monitor the expression of MCP-1 and VEGF mRNA. Results (1) Results of methanol concentration determination:The blood methanol concentration of the low-dose group was significantly increased in comparison with that of the saline control group at 2 h and 12 h time points ( < 0.05) . In the high-dose group, the blood methanol concentration was increased significantly compared with the low-dose group as well as the saline group at 2 h, 12 h and 24 h time points ( < 0.05); (2) The expression of MCP-1 mRNA: The expression level of MCP-1 were significantly enhanced along with the time lapse after acute poisoning, and became most severely at 24 h. The expression levels of MCP-1 have significant differences in groups,of which high-dose group was higher than low-dose group at 2 h, 3 d and 1 w ( <0.05);(3) The expression of VEGF mRNA:The expression level of VEGF was significantly enhanced along with the time lapse after acute poisoning, and became most severely at 24 h. The expression levels of MCP-1 have significant differences in groups,of which high-dose group was higher than low-dose group at 2 h and 12 h ( <0.05) . Conclusion The expression levels of MCP-1 and VEGF mRNA were significantly enhanced, and the degree of poisoning was apparently related with the dose administered. MCP-1 and VEGF might play the important roles in the pathogenesis and progression of brain injured.
