Objective:To investigate the effects of platelet-rich fibrin extract (PRFe) on the osteogenetic differentiation and mineralization of human periodontal ligament cells (hPDLCs) stimulated by tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in vitro. Methods:hPDLCs were cultured and identified.PRFe was obtained by Choukroun's protocols. The cells were treated as the 4 groups:① the blank control group,②TNF-α(10 ng/ml),③ PRFe and ④PRFe + TNF-α(10 ng/ml) respectively.Alkaline phosphatase activity was detected by the ALP kit.The alizarin red dye was used to observe the mineralization of the cells.Runx2 and Osterix expression was quantified by Western blotting. Results:The ALP activity, mineralization level and the expression of Runx2 and Osterin of the TNF-oα group were lower that those of the control group(P < 0.05).The examined indexs of PRFe group were higher than that of the control group(P <0.05).The indexs of the PRFe +TNF-α group were higher than that of TNF-α group(P <0.05).The indexs of PRFe group were higher than that of PRFe + TNF-α group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:PRFe may promote the osteogenetic differentiation of hPDLCs stimulated by TNF-α in vitro.

Objective:To study the 3D accuracy of 4 impression materials. Methods:A metal mould with a custom tray was prepared for the measurement.Impression samples of 2 alginate and 2 rubber impression materials were prepared in the metal mould(n =3)re-spectively.The length of three tagged lines, along X,Y,Z axis directions of the samples was measured with a 3D optical scanner.Re-sults:120 min after sampling the variable rates of the length along X,Y,Z axis of Zhermark alginate samples were 3.615%,3.037%and 2.836%,those of CAVEX alginate samples were 2.836%,3.358% and 4.276% respectively;8 h after sampling the variable rates of Impregum Penta polyether rubber samples were 0.039%,0.071% and 0.057%,those of ExpressXT Penta H addition-curing silicone rubber samples were 0.033%,0.088% and 0.084% respectively. Conclusion:The variable rates of the 4 impression materi-als are in accordance with ISO1563∶1990.The variable rate of alginate impression material is greater than that of rubber.

{L-End}Objective To analyze the correlation between occupational burnout and sleep quality among steelworkers. {L-End}Methods A total of 11 491 steelworkers from a large steel enterprise in Gansu Province were selected as the research subjects using convenient sampling method. The Burnout Questionnaire and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale were used to investigate their occupational burnout and sleep quality. Hierarchical regression analysis was used to analyze the effects of occupational burnout on the sleep quality. {L-End}Results The detection rate of occupational burnout and sleep disorder were 50.4% and 39.0%, respectively. There was a positive correlation between the level of occupational burnout and the total score of sleep quality (Spearman correlation coefficient=0.454, P<0.05). The results of hierarchical regression analysis, adjusting for confounding factors such as gender, age, marital status, education level, alcohol consumption, exercise, weekly working hours, seniority, work shift, noise exposure, dust exposure, and high-temperature work, showed that the score of occupational burnout was positively related to the score of sleep quality(P<0.01), explaining 16.0% of the variance in the score of sleep quality among these steelworkers. {L-End}Conclusion The detection rate of occupational burnout and sleep disorders are relatively high among the steelworkers in this enterprise. Higher levels of occupational burnout are associated with poorer sleep quality. Alleviating occupational burnout among steelworkers may contribute to improving their sleep quality.

ObjectiveTo establish a method based on specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR) that can accurately and rapidly identify Astragalus membranaceus var. mongholicus (AMM) seeds and A. membranaceus (AM) seeds. MethodThe Chloroplast Genome Information Resource (CGIR) and IdenDSS were used to obtain the characteristic DNA fragments of AMM and AM, and the specific single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) sites of AMM and AM were screened out, on the basis of which the specific primers MG-F/MG-R of AMM and MJ-F/MJ-R of AM were designed. The specific PCR method for identifying AMM and AM was established and optimized, and the specificity and applicability of the method were investigated. ResultThe specific PCR conditions for the identification of AMM were primers MG-F/MG-R, annealing at 62 ℃, and 28 cycles. After PCR amplification and gel electrophoresis, the specific band appeared at about 220 bp, with no band for the seeds of AM or adulterants. The specific PCR conditions for identifying the AM were primers MJ-F/MJ-R, annealing at 58 ℃, and 28 cycles. After PCR amplification and gel electrophoresis, the band appeared at about 150 bp, with no band of AMM or adulterants. ConclusionThe specific PCR method established in this study can accurately and quickly identify the seeds of AMM and AM, which provides a basis for the classification and accurate identification of Astragalus seeds and adulterants.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2023;39(9):769-779
Traumatic cerebrospinal fluid leakage commonly presents in traumatic brain injury patients, and it may lead to complications such as meningitis, ventriculitis, brain abscess, subdural hematoma or tension pneumocephalus. When misdiagnosed or inappropriately treated, traumatic cerebrospinal fluid leakage may result in severe complications and may be life-threatening. Some traumatic cerebrospinal fluid leakage has concealed manifestations and is prone to misdiagnosis. Due to different sites and mechanisms of trauma and degree of cerebrospinal fluid leak, treatments for traumatic cerebrospinal fluid leakage varies greatly. Hence, the Craniocerebral Trauma Professional Group of Neurosurgery Branch of Chinese Medical Association and the Neurological Injury Professional Group of Trauma Branch of Chinese Medical Association organized relevant experts to formulate the " Chinese expert consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic cerebrospinal fluid leakage in adults ( version 2023)" based on existing clinical evidence and experience. The consensus consisted of 16 recommendations, covering the leakage diagnosis, localization, treatments, and intracranial infection prevention, so as to standardize the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic cerebrospinal fluid leakage and improve the overall prognosis of the patients.
