Objective To investigate the status quo and the relationship between emotional intelligence and resilience of emergency and ICU nurses in tertiary general hospitals in Chengdu. Methods A total of 660 emergency and ICU nurses were surveyed by a pack of questionnaires including the General Information Questionnaire, the Resilience Scale and the Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale. Results The average total score of the resilience scale was 123.07 ±23.76 and the average item score of the resilience scale was 4.92±0.95. The average total score of the emotional intelligence scale was 58.69±8.74 and the average item score of the emotional intelligence scale was 3.67±0.55. The correlation coefficient between the emotional intelligence and the resilience was 0.62 (P<0.01). Three subdimensions of the emotional intelligence including the usage of emotion, the appraisal of self-emotion, the regulation of emotion and the positions of nurses accounted for 43.3%of the variances of the resilience. Conclusions Emotional intelligence played an important role in affecting the psychological resilience of emergency and ICU nurses in tertiary general hospitals in Chengdu, it could positively predict the resilience of nurses.

With the economic development and the deepening of reform in China,more attention has been paid on health.Based on literature from Chinese Journal of Health Statistics in 2008,the number and ranks of practicing doctors,occupancy of hospital beds,the disease spectrums,outpatient per year were analyzed.The results hold it is better for the doctors to practice in more medical institutions.

Objective: To investigate the creation of smoke-free environments in public places in Hangzhou City, so as to provide insights into effective implementation of the tobacco control policy. Methods: The party and government administrations at each level, medical institutions, educational places, restaurants and entertainment places, and open public places were enrolled. The creation of smoke-free environments was investigated in these places through undercover investigation with field observations and concealed photography by a third-party professional investigation company from November to December, 2022. The building of smoke-free environments (totally 60 scores) and no smoking indoors (totally 40 scores) were evaluated according to the Criteria for Scoring of Smoke-free Organizations in Hangzhou City. Results: Totally 909 places were investigated, and the comprehensive score of smoke-free environment building was (82.83±14.13) points. There were 285 party and government administrations with a comprehensive score of (84.19±12.85) points, 65 medical institutions with a comprehensive score of (90.35±6.95) points, 65 educational places with a comprehensive score of (83.43±16.81) points, 403 dining and entertainment places with a comprehensive score of (80.68±14.75) points, and 91 open public places, with a comprehensive score of (82.34±14.77) points. There were 397 places with standardized tobacco control tips at entrances (43.67%), 308 places with tobacco control signs posted as required (33.88%), 707 places that set outdoor smoking areas correctly (77.78%), 68 places with smoking paraphernalia (7.48%), 28 places with tobacco sales (3.08%). There were 732 places without signs of indoor smoking (80.53%), 850 places without indoor smoking (93.51%) and 24 places without dissuading from smoking (2.64%). Conclusion The indoor no-smoking is overall satisfactory in public places in Hangzhou City; however, standardizing no-smoking tips at entrances, standardizing the posting of no-smoking signs and assignment of tobacco control materials remain to be improved.

Objective To compare the safe zone and safe angles between males and females for screw placement on the medial iliosciatic plate for acetabular posterior column using 3D reconstruction technique.Methods Normal pelvic CT scans of 52 adults (27 males and 25 females;aged from 18 to 74 years,averaging 47.2 years) were obtained to create pelvic 3D models.After the acetabulum was thickened by 5 mm,the width (d) of the safe zone for placement of the medial iliosciatic plate was measured.After the vertical distance (w) between the vertex of the obturator canal and the greater sciatic notch was measured,the ratio (r) of d/w was calculated.The recombined innominatum model was cut through the center of the acetabulum with a plane perpendicular to the quadrilateral plate and the greater sciatic notch.The cross-section was marked as M.In males,4 points at distances of 1.0 cm,1.5 cm,2.0 cm and 2.5 cm anterior to the greater sciatic notch were marked.At the 4 points,the angulations (∠ a,∠b,∠ c and ∠ d) between the quadrilateral plate and the tangent line of the outer edge of the thickened acetabulum model were measured on the cross-section M.In females,3 points at distances of 1.0 cm,1.5 cm and 2.0 cm anterior to the greater sciatic notch were marked before ∠a,∠b,and ∠c were measured.The differences in the above parameters were compared between males and females.Results The width (d) of the safe zone for placement of the medial iliosciatic plate was 28.56 ±2.44 mm in males and 24.36 ±2.47 mm in females;the ratio (r) was 0.61 ± 0.07 in males and 0.54 ± 0.05 in females.The safe angulations for screw placement in males,∠ a,∠b,∠cand ∠d,were 88.04°±3.18°,77.81°±3.85°,68.01°±4.11°and56.81°±4.81° while those in females,∠a,∠b and ∠c,were 91.29°±4.52°,76.23°±3.82° and 62.79°±3.51°,respectively.There were statistically significant differences between males and females in values of d,r,∠ a and ∠ c (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions In fixation of acetabular posterior column fractures using medial iliosciatic plate,the differences between males and females should be taken into account.Besides,specific safe angles should be chosen according to the position of the plate.

Objective To explore nurses′ perceptions of patient safety culture in emergency departments at tertiary hospitals in Sichuan province. Methods By convenient sampling method,a total of 210 emergency nurses from 6 tertiary hospitals in Sichuan province were investigated with a general data questionnaire and a hospital survey on patient safety scale. Results 68.10% of the emergency nurses had positive perceptions of patient safety culture, as evidenced by the following indicators. The organization learning and continuous improvement (74. 27%), hospital management support for patient safety (72.70%), supervisor/manager expectations and actions promoting safety (78.10%), were the safety culture areas with higher percentage of positive response. Areas of non-punitive response to errors (19.67%), staffing (41.08%) had the lowest percentage of positive response. There were significant differences between such groups as years of working, education background and job title. Conclusions Patient safety culture should be improved in the emergency departments of the tertiary hospitals in Sichuan province,especially in the adverse events reporting system and staffing problem. Safety training deserves greater attention in nurses with less working experience, education background or job title in emergency departments.

Objective To evaluate the safety and short-term efficacy of transrectal ultrasound-guided transperineal cryosurgical ablation(TRUSCSA) for localized prostate cancer. Methods The data of 26 patients who were diagnosed with clinically localized prostate cancer (T_(1a)N_0M_0 - T_(2x)N_0M_0) by biopsy were reviewed. The data of serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level, clinical stage and Gleason score were collected. The Gleason score of all cases was ≤7; among them 6 cases were 2 - 4 and 20 cases were 5 - 7. The average pretreatment value of PSA was 11. 9 ng/ml (4. 7 - 19. 2 ng/ml). All the patients were treated with TRUSCSA, with a dual freeze-thaw cycle by using ultrathin 17-gauge cryoneedles. Immediate and delayed morbidities were evaluated. The PSA level was obtained every 3 months for the first 2 years and then every 6 months thereafter, and failure was defined as the inability to reach a nadir of 0. 5 ng/ml or less. All patients were strongly encouraged to undergo routine biopsies despite a stable PSA level. Results The operative time was (102±32)min. The postoperative hospital stay was (6±2)d. After withdrawal of the catheter, 22 cases had good continence) 4 had temporary incontinence for 3 - 7 d. Before operation 9 cases had normal sex life, and among them 5 cases had erectile dysfunction after operation. No one developed urinary retention or urethro-rectal fistula. The follow-up ranged from 6 to 30 months (mean 22). The PSA level at the last follow up visit was less than 0. 5 ng/ml in 23 patients (88%) and 0. 5 ng/ml or more in 3(12%). Postoperative biopsies were taken in 20 cases and the results were negative at the 6th month. Conclusions Transrectal ultrasound-guided percutaneous cryosurgical ablation for clinically localized prostate cancer could be effective and safe. Additional studies with longer follow-up are necessary to determine the sustained efficacy of this procedure.

With the rapid development of global information systems,mobile health (mHealth) has become a hot topic in healthcare system. This paper critically analyzes the definition,application status, existing problems and future development challenges of mHealth by reviewing the relevant literatures about the application of mHealth in nursing research. It aims to provide nursing scholars with references and suggestions to develop mHealth research in future.

Objective:To explore the effect of subject-centered informed consent in nursing research.Methods:We adopted the subject-centered informed consent in a pilot study on precision symptom in breast cancer patients.Specific measures were taken included offering training for researchers about skills regarding subject-centered informed consent,standardizing the explanation for the informed consent forms,allowing sufficient time for subjects to read the informed consent forms,encouraging subjects to raise questions to researchers,confirming that the subject were fully informed and understood the contents,subjects and researchers jointly signing,and finally,using the checklist to review the entire process.The questions and feedback about the subject-centered informed consent were statistically analyzed.Results:Almost all of patients(96.67％) were able to read the consent forms by themselves,three subjects raised questions to the researcher after reading the forms,and all subjects in our study were satisfied with the informed consent process.Conclusion:The subject-centered informed consent approach makes sure that the subjects' fights of informed consent are fully respected and is an important measure to ensure subjects' fights of informed consent.

Objective To summarize the complications and their incidences following Anterior Subcutaneous Internal Pelvic Fixation(ASIPF).Methods A comprehensive search was conducted of PubMed Library,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,SinoMed,Wanfang Data and China National Knowledge Internet for all articles addressing the postoperative complications of ASIPF published in English and Chinese from January 2009 to November 2018.A proportion Meta-analysis across the studies was performed for the complications after ASIPF (lateral femoral cutaneous nerve irritation,femoral nerve palsy,heterotopic ossification,infection and implant failure) using R software.Results This meta-analysis included 29 clinical studies involving a total of 825 patients.The complications following ASIPF were lateral femoral cutaneous nerve irritation,femoral nerve palsy,heterotopic ossification,infection and implant failure;their incidences were respectively 12％ (95％ CI:from 7％ to 19％),3％ (95％ CI:from 2％ to 4％),30％ (95％ CI:from 22％ to 39％),4％ (95％ CI:from 3％ to 6％) and 4％ (95％ CI:from 3％ to 6％).Conclusions Lateral femoral cutaneous nerve irritation and heterotopic ossification are common complications following minimally invasive internal fixation for anterior pelvic ring injury.High-quality clinical research is needed into the factors leading to the complications and into their preventive countermeasures.

The epidemic spectrum of acetabular fractures is changing with the changing population structure in China which has resulted in an increased proportion of the elderly patients. As acetabular fractures are intra-articular in nature, their management should follow the principles for intra-articular ones. However, it is still a great challenge for orthopedists to choose an appropriate treatment to deal with the fracture because of the pathophysiological changes in the elderly patients and the particular characteristics of acetabular fractures. Technical advances may offer a diversity of treatment options for geriatric acetabular fractures and demands for individualized management are increasing. In order to deepen the knowledge of geriatric acetabular fractures for orthopedists, this review expounds on the current achievements in the management and research concerning the fractures.
