Objective To observe the effect of sertraline combined with traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of depression. Methods 80 patients with major depression by the order of lottery were randomly divided into two groups, each 40 cases. The control group were treated with sertraline. The treatment based on the control group were treated with traditional Chinese medicine. The two groups were observed for 6 weeks.Bafore treatment and 1 week,2 weeks,4 weeks,6 weesk, after treatment.the antidepressant efficacy was evaluated by HAMD score.Adverse effects were recorded. Results Total effectiveness of the treatment group and the control group were 82.5%,60.0%,respectively two groups had statistical significance(x2 =4.943,P < 0.05).Compared with before treatment the HAM D score of treatment group 1 weekend were significantly decreased (t =10.627,P < 0.01),the control group after 2 weeks treatment decreased significantly. Two groups of adverse reaction rate had a significant difference(x2 =5.952,P < 0.05).Conclusion Yangxin spleen, soothe the nerves of Chinese medicine combined with western medicine in the treatment of depression relieving effect is better than that of single use of sertraline, faster onset of action, with less adverse reactions.
2.Present status and existing problems of laparoscopic surgery for malignant gastrointestinal cancer
Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2008;7(3):161-163
Laparoscopic surgery has gained wide acceptance for its use in benign gastrointestinal cancer in the past 20 years, while its use in malignant gastrointestinal cancer has been highly controversial until the recent 3-5 years. Several prospective randomized clinical trials have suggested that the long-term outcome of laparoscopic surgery for colon cancer is the same as or better than that of open surgery. As for rectal cancer, whether the principles of total mesorectal excision can be well followed in laparoscopic surgery remains. Most recently, the trial of large number of patients doesn't show any differences upon local recurrence and 3-year survival rate between rectal cancer patients in laparoscopic group and open group. Laparoscopic surgery has been widely accepted as a standard treatment regimen for early gastric cancer in many specialized centers. Meanwhile, the feasibility and effectiveness of laparoscopic D2 lymphadenectomy for gastric cancer has been proved by several scholars. The use of laparoscopic surgery for advanced gastric cancer especially for T3 gastric cancer still remains controversial. The early concern that laparoscopic surgery for malignant cancer might increase tumor dissemination is not confirmed. The system of technical training and occupational qualification, proper selection of patients and adherence to all the principles of cancer clearance will ensure a good result of laparoscopic surgery for malignant gastrointestinal cancer.
3.Strategies of multidisciplinary treatment of rectal cancer
Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2010;09(6):401-404
The incidence of rectal cancer has been increasing over past decades in China, making it the third most common malignant tumor. Multidisciplinary treatment plays a fundamental role in the successful treatment of rectal cancer.Total mesorectal excision has been wildly accepted as the standard technique, however, this procedure has not been standardized in China. Neoadjuvant radiation has been accepted as a standard regimen for patients with an advanced rectal cancer at a higher risk of local recurrence, even though controversies remain, such as the selection of patients for preoperative radiation and the optimum regimen for radiation. Combination of chemotherapeutic agents and targeted therapies is recommended according to updated results of randomized controlled trials (RCTs). In the future, multidisciplinary treatment should be adjusted according to the socioeconomic status of China and RCTs results in Chinese population. Standardization of surgery and surgery quality control also continue to play a core role in improving treatment results of rectal cancer in China.

ObjectiveTo study the expression of ING1 mRNA and its mutation status in human colorectal cancer. MethodsSamples of normal mucosa and cancer tissues from 52 patients with colorectal cancer were detected for their expression of ING1mRNA with RT PCR, and screened for its mutation with PCR SSCP. The expression of p53 protein was detected with immunohistochemical staining.ResultsThe impaired expression of ING1mRNA in colorectal cancer was associated with an advanced Dukes′ stage and metastasis of lymph nodes ( P ≤ 0 01). The expression of ING1mRNA positively correlated to that of p53 protein ( P ≤0 01). And a infrequent mutation of ING1 was also observed. Conclusion Our results suggest that ING1 contributes to the tumorigenesis and progression of colorectal cancer through down regulating its expression rather than through mutation.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(3):349-351
Objective To explore the correlation between the expression of p33/ING1 and the clinicopathological features in patients with colorectal cancer, and to understand the possible mechanism of p33/ING1 in the oncogenesis of colorectal neoplasms. Methods All samples of normal mucosa and cancer tissues from 52 patients with colorectal cancer were detected for their expression levels of p33/ING1 by RT-PCR. Results A significant decrease in p33/ING1 mRNA expression was found in 30 out of 52(57.7%) colorectal cancer tissues. The results also showed that repression of p33/ING1 expression markedly related to both the Duke's stage and metastasis. Conclusion Down-regulation of p33/ING1 may play an important role in the oncogenesis and development of colorectal carcinoma.

International Journal of Surgery 2014;41(1):42-46
Transient receptor potential (TRP) channels affect several inflammatory and neoplastic conditions.and are widely distributed and activated by multiple stimuli.Mean while,as the sensor to the changes in cellular local environments,TRP channels have multiple functions, including thermal, mechanical and taste sensing,as well as ion homeostasis maintaining. They can regulate muscle contractions, transmitter release, cell multiplication, cell differentiation, genetic transcription, apoptosis and molecular death.TRPM8,a nonselective cation channel, was originally cloned as a prostate-specific protein.Now,TRPM8 is found in carcinoma of colon, lung cancer, mammary cancer, pancreatic cancer and cutaneum carcinoma. The aim of this review is to summarize data reported so far on the expression and functional role of TRPM8 channels in different types of cancers.

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1988;0(02):-
Objective To study clinical and electrophysiological features of multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN). Methods The clinical features and data of electrophysiological examination from 16 patients with MMN were analyzed retrospectively. Results In the present study, the onset age was 14 to 47 years with the mean age of (28.2?2.4) years. All the 16 patients presented with unsymmetrical weakness of extremities (Ⅱ~Ⅳ grade of muscle strength) and no hypoesthesia. More serious weakness was found in the upper limbs and in the right extremities. 4 cases were accompanied with mild amyotrophy. Electromyography showed segment conduct block (CB) and slow down of conduct velocity of motor nerves in all 16 patients. Slow conduct velocity of sensory nerve was found only in one case. Conclusions MMN is an unsymmetrical peripheral neuropathy, which affects mainly on motor nerve. Nerve electrophysiology plays an important role in diagnosis of MMN and CB is the characteristic manifestation of nerve electrophysiological change in MMN.

Objective To analyze the changes of bone mineral density (BMD) and the incidence of osteoporosis in elderly people in Xuzhou area by measuring BMD, and provide reference to osteoporosis prevention and control. Methods From 2005 to 2008, BMD were measured in 1204 elderly people by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). The measurement included the neck of femur and L2-4 of lumbar. All subjects were divided into multiple sections with every 5 year interval. Osteoporosis was diagnosed according to the criteria of BMD peak minus 2. 5 SD. BMD values and the incidence of osteoporosis were analyzed among different age and gender groups. Results BMD of different sites decreased year by year in both male and female in Xuzhou area. After 55years of age BMD decreased more in female than in male ( P < 0. 01 ). The incidence of osteoporosis in female was higher than that in male. Conclusions We should reinforce the health education on osteoporosis prevention. Intervention should be conducted in females older than 55 years and males older than 65 years to decrease the occurrence of osteoporosis.
