Objective To detect the effect of Guided Relaxation Method with Music on pain sensitivity and hemodynamics in acupuncture. Methods 70 volunteers aged 18 to 22, all in good condition, were randomized to study group or control group (each 35).In the control group, volunteers were only treated with acupuncture in a routine way while volunteers in the study group were treated with acupuncture using Guided Relaxation Method with Music .Comparing the change of heart rate and blood pressure before and after the experiment, and the pain sensitivity between these two groups. Results By comparing the two groups, it showed that there were no significant differences in heart rate, diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure level(p>0.05).Numerical rat-ing scale scores in study group was much lower (p<0.001), and systolic blood pressure level after the experiment decreased more significantly than that in the control group (p<0.05).However, no significant differences can be seen in heart rate and diastolic blood pressure level after the experiment (p>0.05).Conclusion Guided Relaxation Method with Music could help to alleviate the feeling of pain, and make acupuncture therapy more acceptable.

Objective To evaluate the implementation effect of Malaria Elimination Project supported by the Global Fund in Shaanxi Province so as to provide the evidence for the scientific implementation of Malaria Elimination Action Plan and the exami-nation and evaluation work. Methods The data of malaria prevention and control work were collected and analyzed statistically in 27 counties from 2010 to 2012 in order to evaluate the measures and effects of malaria control. Results There were 64 reported cases in the project areas from 2010 to 2012,and the average annual incidence rate was 0.15/10 million with a declining trend. The infected area sources of patients were mainly imported overseas accounting for 79.69%of the total cases. The blood completion rate of febrile patients was 94.14%,and the scope of the blood smears testing work had expanded to 88 counties(including 61 third-class counties). The training coverage rate of malaria prevention knowledge and skills had achieved to 100%. The awareness rates of malaria prevention and control were 91.68%and 89.44%in the students and local residentsrespectively. The case reporting with-in 24 h after diagnosed, epidemiological case study and outbreak disposal, laboratory testing and confirming and the other case management capabilities had also improved significantly. Conclusions The implementation of the Global Fund Malaria Project in Shaanxi Province has accelerated the process of Malaria Elimination work and improved significantly the malaria control ability in the project areas.

Objective:To investigate the expression of Slug,EMMPRIN and E-cadherin in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma (SACC)and its correlation with clinicopathological characteristics, and the correlation among themselves. Methods:Slug,EMMPRIN and E-cadherin expression in 1 1 5 SACC cases of SACC was examined by immunohistochemical staining. The results and clinicopatho-logical data were statistically analyzed. Results:High positive expression frequencies of Slug(76.5%)and EMMPRIN(69.6%)and low positive expression frequency of E-cadherin(51 .3%)were found in 1 1 5 SACC cases. The expression of Slug and EMMPRIN was positively associated with the histopathological types, clinical stages, perineural invasion, recurrence and distance metastasis(P <0.05).The expression of E-cadherin was negatively associated with the histopathological types, clinical stages, perineural invasion and distance metastasis(P <0.05).There was a significant correlation between Slug and EMMPRIN expression(P <0.05),negative correlation between EMMPRIN and E-cadherin expression(P <0.05)and between Slug and E-cadherin expression(P <0.05).Con-clusion:The expression of Slug,EMMPRIN and E-cadherin is closely correlated to the clinicopathological characteristics of SACC.
