This study introduces the core ideas of rehabilitation from United Nations Standard Rules on the Equalization of Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities, United Nations Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and WHO resolution on Disability, including prevention, management and rehabilitation, discusses the main contents of WHO action plan from 2006~2011 of disability and rehabilitation, and provides some recommendations for the development of rehabilitation in China.
4.Current Conceptual Framework and Policies of Disability and Rehabilitation and Approach of Community-based Rehabilitation
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2011;17(7):601-605
This paper explored the current conceptual framework of disability and rehabilitation, and constructed theoretical structurewith three layers of international convention, resolutions and policies, and domestic laws and operational tools. The characteristics of community-based rehabilitation (CBR) had been discussed with inclusive development approach. Some recommendations had been proposed forthe development of rehabilitation and work programs of rehabilitation for all in China.
5.Progress in biological agents for treatment of Kawasaki disease
Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2014;(6):597-600
Kawasaki disease (KD) is a systemic vascular inflammatory lesion in children with acute febrile rash illness. The inci-dence rate in recent years is increasing. The traditional treatment in some patients is ineffective, and KD has high incidence of cardiovas-cular complications. Therefore, the selection of an appropriate therapy for KD is an urgent. With the continuous advance of biomedical and pharmacologically research, many biological agents were developed. The traditional treatment has been gradually replaced by the new biological agents which achieved the desired results. Thus this paper reviewed several common biological agents in the clinical treatment of KD.
6.Standardization of Adaptive Behavior Assessment System-II (6-18 Years Old) Chinese Version
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2016;22(4):378-382
Objective To standardize Adaptive Behavior Assessment System (ABAS)-II Chinese version to establish norm of ABAS-II Chinese version (6-18 years old). Methods International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and psychological mea-surement were taken. Results Chinese version of ABAS-II (6-18 years old) was developed. The norms of general scores, main domains scores and adaptive skill scores had been established. Conclusion Chinese version of ABAS-II (6-18 years old) can be applied for the evalu-ation of adaptive behavior for Chinese children aged 6-18 years. The standardized Chinese version of ABAS-II (6-18 years old) meets the re-quirement of reliability and validity of the US version.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2013;19(1):22-25
Objective To analyze and compare 3 Chinese standards of disability. Methods Based on the framework and terminology of International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), the structure and content of 3 standards of disability, i.e., Standard for Identify Work Ability - Gradation of Disability Caused by Work-related injuries and Occupational Diseases (GB/T 16180—2006), Assessment for Body Impairment of the Injured in Road Traffic Accidents (GB 18667—2002) and Life Insurance Disability Insurance were reviewed. Results All the standards primarily involved body structure, partly bodily functions, little activity and participation without specific assessment, but no environmental factors. Conclusion The framework and terminology of ICF can be used in the standardization of disability standards.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2015;21(9):996-998
Objective To evaluate the functioning of children with cerebral palsy. Methods 22 children with cerebral palsy aged 7-12 years were investigated with ICF-CY Questionnaire. Results There were impairments in body function of mental function, neuromusculoskeletal and movement related functions, sensory functions and pain. There were barriers in activity and participation in the domains of learning and applying knowledge, general tasks and demands, communication, mobility, self-care, domestic life, interpersonal interactions and relations, major life areas, and community, social and civil life. The mental function and neuromusculoskeletal and movement related functions correlated with the most domains of activity and participation (P<0.05). Conclusion Children with cerebral palsy are severe in activity and participation, which may be mainly associated with the impairments of mental function and neuromusculoskeletal and movement related functions.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2015;21(9):999-1001
Objective To investigate the functioning of outpatients with chronic diseases. Methods 61 outpatients were investigated with the World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0 (WHO-DAS 2.0) Chinese version. Results All the outpatients expressed slight barriers in fields of understanding and communicating, moving and getting around, self-care, interacting with other people, domestic responsibilities, and joining in community activities. The outpatients with musculoskeletal and cutaneous diseases were more difficult in interacting with other people than other patients (P<0.05). Conclusion There are slight barriers in the outpatients with chronic diseases in activities and participations, which may be various with the diseases.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2016;22(4):383-388
Objective To explore ICF-based measurement and statistical methods, and social support and service systems of intellectual disability. Methods ICF theories and approaches and literature review were applied. Results Based on the theories of function and disability in ICF, intellectual disability was characterized by the impairment of intellectual function and significant limitations in adaptive behavior, and onset before 18 years old. Based on the theories of intellectual disability in ICF, this study rebuilt the framework of intellectual disabili-ty, and modified the measure of intellectual disability by assessing the body function and measuring activities and participation to assess in-tellectual function and adaptive behavior, while analyzing the social support and service systems via environment factors. This study also dis-cussed related problems about the prevalence of intellectual disability. Conclusion New conceptual framework, measurement and statistical method of intellectual disability based on the theories and methods of ICF was discussed and the social support and service systems were in-tegrated into the environmental factor of intellectual disability.
