Objective To describe sagittal pelvic pattern,and to analyze sagittal spino-pelvic alignment in asymptomatic Chinese adults.Methods This was a prospective radiological analysis.Anteroposterior and lateral radiographs of the whole spine were taken in 139 Chinese volunteers,including 94 males and 45 females,aged from 21 to 28 years (average,23.5±1.5 years).By using picture archiving and communication systems,several pelvic and spinal parameters (pelvic incidence,pelvic tilt,sacral slope,lumbar lordosis,thoracic kyphosis,cervical lordosis,sagittal vertical axis,apex of total lumbar lordosis,total lumbar lordosis,upper arc of total lumbar lordosis,lower arc of total lumbar lordosis,junctional level,apex of total thoracic kyphosis,total thoracic kyphosis,total cervical lordosis,and lordosis tilt) were measured and the correlations of all parameters were analyzed.Results The mean value of pelvic incidence was 45.1°±9.6°,which was significantly less than those reported in western and Korean subjects.Total lumbar lordosis has a significant correlation with pelvic incidence,sacral slope,total thoracic kyphosis,cervical lordosis and sagittal vertical axis.The sagittal lumbar-pelvic alignment was classified into 4 types according to position of apex of total lumbar lordosis:type Ⅰ (11 cases),the apex was located in L5 or intervertebral space between L4 and L5; type Ⅱ (61 cases),the apex was located in bottom or middle of L4; type Ⅲ (33 cases),the apex was located in upper part of L4 or in intervertebral space between L3 and L4; type Ⅳ (34 cases),the apex was located at L3 level or more high level.Conclusions The sagittal pelvic pattern of Chinese adults is significantly different from those of western and Korean.Lumbar lordosis plays a critical role in regulating spinal sagittal balance.With upper shift of apex of total lumbar lordosis,the lower lumbar lordosis angle and sacral slope increase,but the lordosis tilt decreases.

Background/Aims: To evaluate the effect and possible mechanism of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) on chondrocytes of osteoarthritis (OA). Methods: Articular chondrocytes were cultured and the expression of GHRH receptor in chondrocytes was detected. Then recombinant adenovirus GHRH (Ad- GHRH) was transfected to one group of chondrocytes. The expression of collagen type II, matrix metalloproteinase 13 (MMP-13) and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) in each experimental group was determined by Western blot. Results: The GHRH receptor was expressed in chondrocytes, and this provided a basis for further study of the role of GHRH in chondrocytes. Cell proliferation of the Ad-GHRH group was significantly higher than that of the OA group by CCK-8 assay. Compared with the OA-group, the protein expression of MMP‑13 was decreased in the Ad-GHRH group. Compared with the OA-group, the protein expression of collagen type II, phosphorylated STAT3 (P-STAT3) were increased in the Ad-GHRH group. Conclusions Our results show that the GHRH receptor is expressed in chondrocytes. GHRH can promote the proliferation of chondrocytes and the synthesis of type II collagen, and increase the extracellular matrix, which is achieved by phosphorylated STAT3 protein.

Objective To investigate the binding protein of chlamydiaphage phiCPG1 capsid protein Vp1 on chlamydia trachomatis outer membrane.Methods The bacterium with recombinant plasmid Vp1/pet30a( + ) was induced.The expressed protein was purified by gel recycling.FarWestern blot was utilized to' investigate the binding protein of Vp1 on chlamydial outer membrane,including recombinant polymorphic outer membrane protein (rPmp) and major outer membrane protein (MOMP).Results The recombinant protein Vp1 was successfully expressed in E.coli.Monoclonal antibody against Vp1 was used as primary antibody in Western blot,and no specific band was present,which indicated that the monoclonal antibody did not specifically bind with any rPmp.Far-Western blot results showed that there was an obvious band for the rPmpI,but no specific band for other rPmp and MOMP,which suggested that Vp1 could specifically bind with rPmpI protein on the chlamydial outer membrane of serotype D.Conclusions There is a binding site of Vp1 on the chlamydia trachomatis outer membrane.Vp1 may play an important role in the interaction between the chlamydiaphage and the chlamydiae.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of C.trachomatis culture in HaCaT human keratinocytes.Methods According to the procedure for C.trachomatis culture in McCoy cells,clinical swab specimens and standard strains of C.trachomatis serotype E were inoculated into HaCaT cells.Iodine staining,a fluorescent monoclonal antibody test and PCR amplification of the endogenous plasmid of C.trachomatis were performed to detect the growth of C.trachomatis in HaCaT cells.Five passages of subculture were carried out for the standard strain of C.trachomatis serotype E in HaCaT cells,and inclusion bodies were counted after each passage.One-factor analysis of variance was conducted by using the software SPSS17 to determine if C.trachomatis was propagated in HaCaT cells.Results Iodine staining showed typical inclusion bodies of C.trachomatis in the cytoplasm of HaCaT cells.Yellow fluorescence-labeled granules were observed in the HaCaT cells under a microscope.Endogenous plasmids of C.rachomatis were successfully amplified by PCR from the infected HaCaT cells.The number of inclusions in HaCaT cells gradually increased at passage 1 through 5.Conclusions C.trachomatis is successfully cultivated in HaCaT cells in vitro,and the standard strain of C.trachomatis serotype E can propagate in HaCaT cells.

Objective To observe the correlation between telomerase activity and apoptosis in HeLa cells induced by influenza viruses.Methods HeLa cells were observed in the electron microscope after they had been infected by influenza viruses type A1,B and an UV exposed strain respectively.Besides,Annexin V-FITC staining flow cytometry(FCM)and PCR-ELISA were used to detect cell apoptosis and telomerase activity in HeLa cells respectively.Results The maximal rate of apoptotic cells induced by influenza virus type B and A1 were 38.65% and 23.94% respectively(P

Objective:To explore the preoperative diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) for intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN).Methods:Data of 62 patients with IPMN confirmed by pathology who underwent EUS before surgery from 2008 to 2018 in Peking Union Medical College Hospital were analyzed. Characteristics that could distinguish low-grade dysplasia (LGD), high-grade dysplasia (HGD) and invasive carcinoma (IC) were explored. A scoring system based on EUS findings was established to determine the preoperative pathology of IPMN by using logistic model.Results:Of the 62 patients, 15 (24.2%) were diagnosed as having LGD, 20 (32.3%) HGD and 27 (43.5%) IC. Univariate analysis showed that the size of mural nodules and width of main pancreatic duct (MPD) were predictive factors for IPMN pathology. The possibility of higher pathological grading would increase 8% for every 1 mm increment in mural nodules. Multivariate analysis showed that only mural nodules≥5 mm ( OR=7.31, 95% CI : 2.49-21.40, P<0.001) was an independent risk factor to distinguish LGD, HGD and IC. Mural nodules≥5 mm, main pancreatic duct (MPD)≥10 mm and mural nodules <5 mm were assigned 2 points, 1 point and 1 point, respectively. The sensitivity, specificity, and area under receiver operator characteristic curve (AUC) of the EUS scoring system to distinguish benign and malignant IPMN were 0.830, 0.867, and 0.867, respectively. Conclusion:Preoperative EUS helps to distinguish LGD, HGD and IC. The size of mural nodules and the width of MPD are vital risk factors to distinguish benign and malignant IPMN.

AIM:To observe the expression of calcium-sensing receptor(CaSR) of rat cardiomyocytes in anoxia-reoxygenation(A/R) injury and CaSR-induced changes of intracellular calcium;involvement of CaSR in apoptosis and relevant signaling transduction pathway.METHODS:The A/R injury was remodeled in vitro;CaSR,caspase 3 and caspase 9 were deteced by Western blotting.LSCM was used to observe changes of intracellular calcium during reperfusion with or without CaSR agonist.Morphological changes in different groups were observed by light microscopes.Apoptotic cells were measured by TUNEL assay.RESULTS:By LSCM,it was found that the intracellular calcium was significantly increased during reperfusion both in A/R and activator group.Severe injury was found by HE staining in the above two groups,the number of apoptotic cells was significantly increased according to TUNEL assay.The expression of CaSR,caspase 3 and caspase 9 was significantly increased in A/R group and activator group compared with control.CONCLUSION:CaSR is involved in intracellular calcium overload in A/R cardiomyocyte,which can accelerate apoptosis during A/R.

Objective:This thesis aims to construct the evaluation index system ethics management in Beijing medical institutions for application research.Method:The author applied the evaluation system which was agreed and adjusted by expert groups in four medical and health institutions.Result:After three rounds of expert groups have reached the agreement,the Evaluation Index System on Human Research Ethics Management in Beijing Medi-cal Institutions is established,which contains 6 first-class indicators,16 second-class indicators and 39 third-class indicators.The application on four medical and health institutions show that the evaluation index system is practical,operable and is of high degree of distinction.Conclusion:The evaluation index system is scientific,rea-sonable,practical and is of high degree of validity,credibility and distinction.

Objective: To explore the screen related sedentary behavior among senior primary school students in Beijing and to analyze the influence of psychosocial determinants and nutrition related knowledge on the behavior. Methods: In January 2020, a total of 1 316 students in grade 4-6 from two primary schools in Beijing were selected. Information on video viewing (watching TV or playing video games), self efficacy, habit strength, nutrition related knowledge, outcome expectation and the capacity to persist toward goal attainment were collected through questionnaires. Disordered multi classification Logistic regression and random forest algorithm were used to analyze the influencing factors. Results: The frequency of screen related sedentary was 5.0 (3.0, 10.5) times/week, and the duration was 37.5(9.6, 97.5) min/d in senior elementary school children. The results of disordered multi classification Logistic regression showed that the capacity to persist toward goal attainment, nutrition related knowledge, habit strength, self efficacy and gender positively correlated with the frequency of screen related sedentary ( OR =1.6, 1.7, 4.9, 4.2, 1.5 ), while the nutrition related knowledge, habit strength, self efficacy, outcome expectations, grade and gender positively correlated with screen time ( OR =1.7, 5.6, 5.7, 1.6, 1.6, 1.7)( P <0.05). Random forest regression tree model showed that the top four influencing factors on screen related sedentary frequency were self efficacy, the capacity to persist toward goal attainment, habit strength and nutrition related knowledge and the top four influencing factors on screen time were self efficacy, outcome expectation, nutrition related knowledge, habit strength. Conclusion Screen related sedentary behavior is prevalent among senior primary school students in Beijing. Health education should be strengthened regarding influencing factors of screen related sedentary behavior.

Objective: The association of self efficacy, habit strength, goal intention and outcome expectation with the consumption of snack in senior primary school students were investigated, providing evidence for the application of psychosocial determinants based on Social Cognitive Theory in children s nutrition education. Methods: A total of 1 353 students, 10-12 years old, participated in this study. Participants completed questionnaires for assessing self efficacy, habit strength, goal intention, outcome expectation and snack consumption in January 2020. Results: Average times of snack consumption among primary school students were 5.0 (3.0, 8.5) times per week, and the snack intake were 4.0(0.9, 22.9)g/d. The outcome expectation score was -1.0(-2.0, -1.0 ) points, while the score of children s snack related selfefficacy was (4.3±0.9) points, habit strength score 1.0(1.0, 3.0) points, and the goal intention (4.2±1.2) points. Students with higher snack intake showed lower scores in outcome expectation, self efficacy and goal intention( t=-9.0, 6.8, 5.2, P <0.01). Logistic regression showed negative association between outcome expectation and self efficacy factors with snacking behavior( OR =0.7, 0.8, respectively), as well as positive association between habit strength and snacking behaviors( OR=1.3, P <0.05). Conclusion The evidence indicated that self efficacy, habit strength, goal intention and outcome expectation are associated with child s snack consumption, and can be used as theoretical foundation for child snack consumption education.
