Objective To investigate the development of reading and writing of deaf students with deaf parent.Methods 498 deaf students,332 parents with deaf students and 66 teachers in a special education school were investigated and analyzed.The ability of reading and writing of deaf students with deaf parents or hearing parents were compared.Results and Conclusion There was no significant difference of reading and writing between deaf students with deaf parents and hearing parents.

Objective To evaluate the effect of collagen shield delivering fluconazole eye drops made by centrifugal method on treating fungal keratitis of rabbit eyes.Methods Using centrifugal method to make corneal collagen shield,after soaked with fluconazole eye drops,the collagen shields were used to treat fungal keratitis of rabbit eyes.Results The healing focus time of collagen shield delivering fluconazole eye drops group was average 11 days,the healing focus time of only delivering fluconazole eye drops group was average 18 days.The cure rate and effective rate of 2 groups were 78.94%,63.15% and 92.10%,78.94%,there were significance between 2 groups(P<0.05).Conclusion It was innovation for corneal collagen shield delivering fluconazole eye drops made by centrifugal method to cure fungal keratitis,which had broad development foreground.

Objective To investigate the prognostic factors of life and functional outcome of the first hemiparetic stroke patients. Methods One hundred and eighteen stroke subjects were registered prospectively. The Barthel index (BI) , Rankin scale (RS) , Mortricity index(MI) , Mini-mental state examination (MMSE) , Montgomery-Asberg depression scale (MADRS) and a scale of general state and risk factors were used to evaluate at the 48th hour, the 15th day and the 90th day after stroke. Results The patients' performance, as demonstrated by their scores with all the evaluation instruments, changed significantly at all the time points of evaluation after stroke (P ＜0.05). There was no significant difference between the performance at the 48th hour and the 15th day after stroke ( P ＞ 0.05 ). But at the 90th day after stroke, the activity of daily living performance and the depression status recovered significantly (P ＜ 0.01 ). Logistic regression analysis showed that, such factors as pneumonia, urinary incontinence within 48th hour and deep sensation disturbance might adversely influence patients' activity of daily living performance at the 90th day after stroke; the muscle strength of upper extremities at the 48th hour, and MMSE scores at the 15th day after stroke acted as the protective factors. Conclusions The stroke patients improved significantly with regard to their clinical and functional manifestations when evaluated 90 days after stroke onset. The main factors influencing the activity of daily living performance 90 days after stroke onset included deep sensation disturbance,pneumonia, urinary incontinence and muscles strength of upper extremities at 48th hour, and MMSE scores at the 15th days after onset.

To explore the clinic characters,treatments and prognosis of patients with primary bone lym-phoma( PLB ) .The clinical symptoms, signs, X -ray features, pathological morphology, immunophenotype and treatment of 7 patients with PLB were analyzed retrospectively and the pertinent literatures were reviewed.The re-sults showed that the main complains of 7 cases of PBL were local pain.The CT showed osteolytic bone destruc-tion and soft tissue swelling.There were 3 cases of diffuse large B cell lymphoma,1 case of Burkitt-type lympho-ma,1 case of periferal T-cell lymphoma,1 case of anaplastic large cell lymphoma,and 1 case of Hodgkins lym-phoma.2 patients presented with stageⅠ,4 with stageⅡ,and 1 with stage 3.The therapeutic procedure includes local radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy and targeted therapy.The clinical presentation of PLB is not spe-cial.The diagnosis and identification of histological type of PLB should be established by histopathological and im-munohistochemistry examinations.Early diagnosis and active therapy could improve the prognosis of PLB.Combi-nation therapy including radiotherapy and chemotherapy is the optimal treatment for PLB.

Objective·To eliminate the effects of intraperitoneal injection of transmembrane activator and calcium modulator and cyclophilin ligand interactor-Ig (TACI-Ig) on the opitc neuritis and the integrity of myelin sheath in mice.Methods·Twenty-four C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into 4 groups,which were blank control group,saline control group,low-dose (0.4 mg/kg) TACI-Ig group and high-dose (4 mg/kg) TACI-Ig group,with 6 mice in each group.All groups were received intraperitoneal injection every other day.The saline control group received 0.2 mL saline injection in the same way,and the blank control group was not given any intervention.After 20 d of treatment,the eyeballs and optic nerve tissues were collected from each mouse under anaesthesia,embedded in paraffin and stained with hematoxylin-eosin (H-E) and Luxol fast blue (LFB),respectively.Results·H-E staining indicated that optic nerve fibers arranged closely both in blank and saline control groups and the staining of tissues was uniform.The optic nerve structure of low-dose TACI-Ig group was similar to blank and saline control groups,while in high-dose of TACI-Ig group,the infiltration of inflammatory cells was observed.The inflammatory cell infiltration scores were not significantly different in all groups (P=0.610 3).The retinal structures of all groups were clear and distinct to observe,and single ganglion cells arranged tightly with complete cell shape,visible nucleus and uniform distribution.There was no difference in the retina structure among 4 groups.LFB staining indicated that there was no significant loss of the optic nerve myelin in 4 groups by microscope observation (P=0.473 6).Conclusion·Low-dose (0.4 mg/kg) TACI-Ig injection wouldn't damage the normal structure of optic nerves and retinal ganglion cells,meanwhile high-dose (4 mg/kg) of TACI-Ig injection might cause minor infiltration of inflammatory cells into retina.

Objective To investigate how gene silence of CD40 by small interfering RNA(siRNA)influences the balance between Th1 / Th2 and Th17 / Treg in rats with experimental autoimmune myocarditis(EAM). Methods Lewis rats were divided into a normal - control group,EAM group,CD40 siRNA - therapy group and siRNA - control group by using random number table. EAM,CD40 siRNA - therapy and siRNA - control groups were immunized on day 0 and day 7 with purified porcine cardiac myosin to establish EAM,and CD40 siRNA was administered intravenously on day 7. The basic data of each group were observed,and the rats were executed on day 21 to study the pathology of myo-cardial tissues and the myocardial histopathology scores were calculated,and than the changes in electrocardiograms (ECG)and echocardiogram were recorded. Enzyme - linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to determine the levels of interferon(IFN) - γ,interleukin(IL) - 10,IL - 17 and transforming growth factor(TGF)- β in peripheral blood. Results (1)The overall incidence of EAM,CD40 siRNA - therapy and siRNA - control group was 100% ,and no rats died from day 0 to day 21.(2)There were only 2 premature rats in EAM and siRNA - control groups,and the ECGs of normal - control group and CD40 siRNA - therapy group were normal.(3)The echocardiogram of EAM,CD40 siRNA - therapy and siRNA - control group,displayed the left ventricular dilatation,hypertrophy of the left ventricle, the weakening of the left ventricular wall motion,and heart failure,and pericardial effusion was discovered. Objective To investigate cortactin expression in malignant colorectal tissues and corresponding adjacent non-cancerous colon tissues,precancerous lesions (adenomatous polyps) and the relationship between the expression of cortactin and cell division in colorectal cancer cells.Methods The expression of cortactin was detected by immunohistochemistry in colorectal cancer,colorectal adenomatous polyp (precancerous lesions) and colorectal tissues adjacent to adenocarcinomas (normal tissues).Kaplan-Meier method was employed to compare the survival between the groups.Cortactin expression and cell division were detected by Western blot and immunofluorescence in SW-620 colon cancer cells treated with cortactin siRNA.Results The positive expression rate of cortactin was significantly higher in colorectal cancer tissues than in adenomatous polyp tissues and pericarcinomatous normal tissues.Overexpression of cortactin in colorectal cancer tissues was correlated with poor differentiation (P ＜ 0.01),lymph node metastasis (P =0.006),and TNM stage (P =0.022).The 5 year survival rate of the group of negative/weak positive expression of eortactin was significantly higher than the group of strong positive expression of cortactin.CTTN gene amplification in colorectal cancer tissues was obvious.Cortactin siRNA induction caused a lower cortactin protein expression in colorectal cancer cells.Conclusions It is suggested that the excessive expression of cortactin contributes to the growth of cancer cells in colorectal cancer.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the distribution features of systemic vascular resistance (SVR) disorder in healthy subjects in Hebei province.

METHODSSVR and systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), mean arterial pressure (MAP), pulse pressure (PP), heart rate (HR), cardiac output (CO), cardiac index (CI), stroke volume (SV), stroke index (SI), left ventricular ejection time (LVET), left cardiac work (LCW) and cardiovascular function were determined with Bioz. com Cardio Dynamics. Total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and influencing factor were tested by automated hematology analyzer in 999 healthy subjects living in Hebei province.

RESULTSSVR disorder gradually increased with the ageing in healthy subjects and the prevalences of SVR disorders was higher among females than among males (P < 0.001). SVR was positively correlated with SBP, DBP, MAP, PP, LVET, body mass index (BMI), TC, and TG, and was inversely associated with HR, CO, CI, SV, SI, LCW, and arterial compliance (AC). CO and MAP were independent influencing factors with SVR.

CONCLUSIONSVR disorder is associated with age, sex, and blood pressure in populations in Hebei province and may be a marker of vascular injury.
