Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2012;21(8):757-759
ObjectiveTo assess the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the rejection sensitivity questionnaire(RSQ).Methods813 college students were investigated with RSQ and each caregiver was retested 4 weeks later. Results ( 1 ) All items had good discrimination.(2) Exploratory factor analysis showed the Chinese version of RSQ consisted of three factors which could explain 45.986% of the total variance.Confirmatory factor analysis indicated that there was high fitting degree between the three-factor model and the two-dimension model. They were significantly correlated with RSQ total score( r =0.661 ~ 0.851,P < 0.001 ).(3) The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.809.The three factor's Cronbach's alphas were 0.684,0.631 and 0.534 respectively. The test-retest coefficient was 0.892 (P < 0.001 ).ConclusionThe Chinese version of RSQ is a reliable and valid measurement for assessing the rejection sensitivity of the Chinese college students.
2.Comment on "Bioethics is love of life"
Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(05):-
Professor Macer summarizes the essence and concepts of bioethics with love as the universal ethical basis, but it effective resources and evidence proves to be limited. In fact, the "love" could be the motive of ethics rather than the basis of ethics. For the origins of ethics are vastly related with compassion and mercy.
3.Therapeutic effects of induced pluripotent stem cells on primary open angle glaucoma
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2017;35(9):773-777
Glaucoma is an group of ocular disease associated with the degeneration of retinal ganglion cells and it finally causes vision loss.Primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) is a main type of glaucoma worldwide. The primary reason of POAG is elevated intraocular pressure (lOP) caused by the degeneration or dysfunction of the trabecular meshwork (TM).Recent studies showed that stem cell-based therapy becomes a promising approach to treat the degenerative diseases, including POAG.Among multiple types of stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) is the one with the most clinical potential due to its autologous derivation and non-ethical issue. In this paper,we summarized the encouraging therapeutic effects of iPSCs on POAG from different species, different etiological factors and different pathological stages.Although these encouraging studies suggest that iPSC is a fabulous stem cell type to regenerate the damaged tissue, more efforts are required for clinical application. In addition,we discussed several solutions to improve the safety of iPSCs and provided potential approaches to improve the therapeutic efficiency and specific targeting.Answering these questions will help us to better understand the characteristics of iPSCs and promote the development of bench to bedside research.

Xinshu (BL 15), Feishu (BL 13), Pishu (BL 20), Ganshu (BL 18), Shenshu (BL23) and Geshu (BL 17) were selected and the needles were retained for 30 min. After the needles were taken out, cupping method was applied on each acupoint. In the treatment of total 36 cases of hyperlipidemia, the results showed remarkable effect in 22 cases, effect in 9cases and failure in 5 cases, and the total effective rate in 86.1%.
5.Value of CT histogram analysis in the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma
Journal of Practical Radiology 2014;(10):1733-1735
Objective To explore the application value of CT value histogram in differential diagnosis between primary hepatoma and other space-occupying lesions in liver. Methods From 2012 to 2013,the imaging data in 243 patients with different isolated space-occupying lesions in liver were analyzed retrospectively who underwent both enhanced and unenhanced abdominal CT scans. The lesions were confirmed as hepatic cyst, hepatic hemangioma or primary hepatoma by pathological and other clinical proofs and divided into 3 groups. The histograms of plain scan and post-contrast triphases were drawn respectively using an attached picture-making software.Relevant data of the histograms were analyzed and compared using the SPSS among three groups. Results The CT value histograms of hepatic cysts, hemangiomas and majority of hepatomas presented normal distribution curves.Negative skewness distribution curve was showed in the tumor within necrosis and liquefaction, whereas the positive curve was showed in hepatoma with more calcification. Some significant differences in the Mean,SD,Max,Min,and R values were confirmed. Conclusion Skew-ness distribution curve has a relative high specificity in diagnosis of primary hepatoma. Both dramatic decrease of the Mean value in delayed phase and obvious increase of the R value in plain scan suggest the possibility of primary hepatoma.

8. Effect of ulinastatin on expression of inflammatory cytokines during perioperative period of surgical correction of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2006;27(2):203-206
Objective: To investigate the effect of ulinastatin(UTI) on the changes of IL-6, TNF-α, IL-10 and IL-4 expression during perioperative period of surgical correction of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS). Methods: Twenty patients with AIS I-II scheduled to receive surgical correction of spinal deformities were equally randomized into 2 groups-UTI group and control group. Patients in UTI group received intravenous infusion of 10 000 U/kg UTI with 250 ml normal saline just before operation and every 4 h thereafter if necessary; patients in control group received same amount of normal saline. ECG, CVP, SpO2 and PETCO2 were continously monitored during operation in both group. Mean arteral pressure (MAP) was maintained at (60±5) mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa). Venous blood samples were collected immediately before induction of anaesthesia (T1), 10 min after induction (T2), 1 h after UTI administration (T3), 30 min after extubation (T4) and 24 h postoperatively (T5). The plasma levels of IL-6, TNF-α, IL-10 and IL-4 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and their mRNA expression was assayed by real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Results: At T3, T4 and T5, plasma levels of IL-6 and TNF-α and their mRNA copies in control group were significantly higher than that at T1 (P<0.05 or P<0.01) and those in UTI group(P<0.05 or P<0.01); while plasma IL-6 and TNF-α and their mRNA copies in UTI group had no difference compared with those at T1, but were significantly lower than those of control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). At T4 and T5, plasma IL-10 and its mRNA copies had a significant increase compared with those at T1 in control group (P<0.05). At T4 and T5, plasma IL-10 and its mRNA copies had a significant increase compared with those at T1 in UTI group (P<0.01), and were higher than that of control group (P<0.01). The plasma IL-4 and its mRNA copies had no significant change in both groups on each point time. Conclusion: UTI can inhibit the release of IL-6, TN F-α and their mRNA copies in perioperation period of surgical correction of AIS, and it may also promote expression of IL-10 protein and IL-10 mRNA.
9. The serum expressions of DKK-1 and DKK-3 in patients with prostate cancer and their clinical significance
Tumor 2013;33(10):891-897
Objective: To investigate the expressions of serum DKK (Dickkopf)-1 and DKK-3 of Dickkopf family in patients with PC (prostate cancer) and the patients with BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia). To explore the correlation of their expressions with the Gleason score and bone metastasis. Methods: Serum DKK-1 and DKK-3 levels in 40 patients with prostate cancer and 20 patients with BPH were detected by ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) and compared by using Spearman's correlation analysis to evaluate the intercorrelation of DKK-1 and DKK-3 expressions and their relationship with clinicopathological characteristics. The diagnostic performance of PSA (prostate specific antigen), DKK-1 and DKK-3 were determined by binary logistic regression method to draw the ROC (receiver operating characteristic) curves. Results: Serum DKK-1 and DKK-3 levels in patients with PC were significantly higher than those in patients with BPH. The serum DKK-1 level in PC with bone metastasis was higher than that in non-bone metastatic prostate cancer (P = 0.043). The predictive value of DKK-1 in diagnosing bone metastasis was slightly higher than PSA (P = 0.045). Serum DKK-3 level in high-risk PC with Gleason scores 8-9 was higher than that in moderate-risk PC with Gleason scores 6-7 (P = 0.036). The predictive value of DKK-3 in distinguishing the grade of cancer was higher than PSA (P = 0.039). There were no ralativeships between DKK-1 and bone metastasis, DKK-3 and Gleason grade, and DKK-1 and DKK-3. Conclusion: Serum DKK-1 and DKK-3 expressions are closely related to the occurrence of PC. DKK-1 may contribute to diagnose PC with bone metastasis. DKK-3 may support to distinguish the grade of PC. Copyright © 2013 by TUMOR.
10.Effect of red peony root decoction on rats with severe acute pancreatitis
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2012;34(2):126-129
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of red peony root decoction (RPRD) on model rats with acute pancreatitis (AP),and the effect on the expression of NF-κB,TNF-α and IL-6.Methods Forty SD rats were randomly divided into five groups:normal control group (group A),AP model groups (group B,24 h; group C,72 h) and RPRD treatment groups (group D,24 h; group E,72 h).There were 8 rats in each group. The AP models were induced by intraperitoneally injecting with L-arginine.After the model was established, rats of group B and group C were treated with intra-gastric instillation of NS,and rats in group D and group E with RPRD.At 24 and 72 hours after induction of AP,rats in each group were sacrificed and blood samples were taken for the measurement of serum amylase,TNF-α and IL-6.The expression of NF-κB p65 protein in the pancreas were detected by Western Blot, and pathological status of the pancreas were analyzed. Results The serum amylase level in group B and group D was significantly higher than that in group A (P<0.05),and the level in group D was obviously lower than that in group B (P<0.05).The serum amylase level in group C and group E was decreased, and there was no difference between group A (P>0.05).The pathological severity and pathological scores of the pancreas in group D and group E were more lighter than those in group B and group C (P<0.05).The level of serum TNF-α and IL-6 was significantly decreased in RPRD treatment groups (P<0.05),group D compared with group B,[ (12.54±2.12)pg/ml,(552.88±81.27)pg/ml] vs.[ (20.53±4.16)pg/ml,(1255.75± 118.82)pg/ml]; group E compared with group C,[ (11.01 ±2.02)pg/ml,(582.87± 88.86) pg/ml] vs [ (23.85 ± 5.59) pg/ml,(1366.33 ± 163.16) pg/ml].The expression levels of NF-κBp65 protein in the pancreas of group D and group E were significantly lighter than those in group C at both time points (group D compared with group B,(0.07±0.055) vs (0.71 ±0.029),P<0.05; group E compared with group C,(0.15±0.038) vs (0.65±0.026).Conclusion RPRD may alleviate the pathologic changes in AP
