Object To investigate and compare the scavenging effect of Cordyceps growing in different environment on hydroxyl radical. Methods 10-Phennanthroline-Fe 2+ oxidative assay was used to observe the effect of scavenging hydroxyl radical from H_2O_2/Fe 2+ system by the aquenous extracts of Cordyceps. Results Cordyceps from Naqu of Xizang, northwest Yunnan, and northwest Sichuan all showed us the significant effect on scavenging of hydroxyl radical produced from Fenton Reaction. The biggest values of MDR among Cordyceps specimens from various microecological environment surpassed that among specimens of Naqu of Xizang, northwest Yunnan, and northwest of Sichuan. Conclusion The aquenous extracts of Cordyceps could scavenge the hydroxyl radical from Fenton Reaction. The microecological environment for Cordyceps growing has an significant effect on its scavenging action.

Objective To elucidate the association of the susceptibility for rheumatoid arthritis ( RA )and peptidylarginine deiminase 4(PADI4) genetic single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in Han population in Hebei province. Methods This hospital-based ease-control study included 105 untreated RA patients and 96 healthy controls. The genotypes and allele frequencies of padi4_92 gene polymorphisms were analyzed by PCR-RFLP method, and the analysis of linkage disequilibrium and haplotype construction were performed for padi4_92,padi4_94 and padi4_104 SNPs.The Peason Chi-square test and Woolf statistic method were used to analyze the odds ration (OR) and 95% confidence interval (95%CI).Results Significant differences in the frequency of PADI4 alleles and genotypes between the cases and controls were observed. The combined effect of padi4_92,padi4_94 and padi4_104 SNPs was analyzed by SHEsis snd Genehunter software, and got three haplotypes,CCC,GTT and GCC.There was significant difference in haplotypes distribution of 3 SNPs of padi4 between the two groups. This analysis of haplotypes revealed that haplotype of PADI4 was a risk factor for RA The ORs for these three haplotypes for RA susceptibility were 0.634 (95%CI=0.425-0.946),1.306 (95%CI=0.864-1.975),4.286 (95%CI=1.274-14.424),respectively.Conclnsion The SNPs of PADI4 may contribute to genetic susceptibility to RA in Han population in Hebei Province.

Objective To explore the relationship between job stressors, montal health and intention to quit of pediatric nurses by comparing with nurses in internal medicine department. Methods Job stressors, mental health, intention to quit of pediatric nurses and their relationship were investigated among nurses in above mentioned wards from three third-level and first-class hospitals by using questionnaires. Results The scores of some factors of job stressors and nine factors of SCL- 90 of pediatric nurses were much higher than those of internal medicine nurses. There was a significantly positive correlation between some factors of job stressors, mental health and intention to quit of pediatric nurses. Conclusions Working pressure is a factor of low mental health level and intention to quit of pediatric nurses. Effective management strategies should be imple-mented to protect the mental health of pediatric nurses and decrease the loss of nurses.

Objective To investigate whether TG2 plays an important role in the osteoblast differentiation and mineralization. Methods TG2 mRNA of SaOS-2 cells was knocked down using a lentivirus stably expressing short-hairpin ( sh) RNA targeting TG2.Then the cells were cultured in osteo-inductive medium for 14 d to measure mineralization and for 7 d to measure the levels of osteoblastic differentiation markers including ALP activity and mRNA of collagen I, osteocalcin ( OCN) and BMP-2.The wild-type SaOS-2 cells and scrambled shRNA-transducted SaOS-2 cells served as the controls. Results The controls displayed an increasing trend of the level of ALP activity and mRNA of collagen I, osteocalcin and BMP-2,and notable mineralization at 14 d.When TG2 was knocked down, ALP activity, mRNA of collagen I, osteocalcin and BMP-2 at 7d,and mineralization at 14 d were all significantly lower in comparison with the corresponding values in the controls. Conclusion TG2 is involved in the differentiation and mineralization of osteoblasts in vitro.

OBJECTIVEThrough correlation and path analysis between total saponins content in rhizome/mycorrhizal infection rate in roots of Pairs polyphylla var. yunnanensis and soil factors, to make an inquiry into the role of soil factors in the quality formation of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis.
METHODTested total saponins in rhizome, mycorrhizal fungal infection rate in root and physical and chemical properties in rhizosphere soil in 25 different growth areas, and statistically analyzed the relationship between total saponins in rhizome/mycorrhizal infection rate in roots of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis and soil factors by using correlation and path analysis.
RESULTThe symbiosis relationship between AM mycorrhizal and roots of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis were better established under natural condition, of which the infection ratio between 36.41%, 83.37%. There were significantly positive correlation between total saponins content in rhizome and urease activity or alkaline phosphatase activities or organic matter in soil, but there was significantly negative correlation between total saponins content and bulk density. There was significantly positive correlation between AM infection ratio and alkaline nitrogen. Path analysis indicated that total saponins of rhizome mainly affected by alkaline nitrogen in soil rhizosphere, secondly by soil organic matter and soil urease activity. While the mycorrhizal fungal colonization ratio was mainly affected by soil pH, secondly by alkaline nitrogen, urease activity, and available phospherus in soil.
CONCLUSIONThere is closed relationship between quality formation of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis and soil factors. Path analysis is better for reflecting the contribution of soil factors to total saponins and mycorrhizal infection ratio.

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) combined with lower cervical fracture is often categorized into unstable fracture, with a high incidence of neurological injury and a high rate of disability and morbidity. As factors such as shoulder occlusion may affect the accuracy of X-ray imaging diagnosis, it is often easily misdiagnosed at the primary diagnosis. Non-operative treatment has complications such as bone nonunion and the possibility of secondary neurological damage, while the timing, access and choice of surgical treatment are still controversial. Currently, there are no clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of AS combined with lower cervical fracture with or without dislocation. To this end, the Spinal Trauma Group of Orthopedics Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association organized experts to formulate Clinical guidelines for the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis combined with lower cervical fracture in adults ( version 2024) in accordance with the principles of evidence-based medicine, scientificity and practicality, in which 11 recommendations were put forward in terms of the diagnosis, imaging evaluation, typing and treatment, etc, to provide guidance for the diagnosis and treatment of AS combined with lower cervical fracture.
