The activated carbon with high specific surface area was prepared by carbonization with walnut shell as raw material and activation by potassium hydroxide.The surface of activated carbon was then modified by phenyltrimethoxysilane to prepare phenyl-bonded high specific surface area activated carbon adsorption material.The specific surface area and pore size distribution of phenyl-bonded activated carbon were measured by nitrogen adsorption method.The organic functional groups of the phenyl-bonded activated carbon, the chemical environment of the surface elements and the crystal structure were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction method.The volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the air were absorbed by a sampling tube filled with the adsorption material prepared here, then desorbed into carbon disulfide solution and detected by gas chromatography.The saturated adsorption capacities of phenyl bonded activated carbon to 7 kinds of VOCs (ethanol, acetone, hexane, ethyl acetate, tetrahydrofuran, 1,2-dichloroethane, benzene) were in the range of 129-216 mg/g.In the range of 0.05-2.50 mg/mL, there was a good linear relationship between the peak height of the 7 components and the concentration, and the detection limits were in the range of 0.92-3.60 mg/m3.

Objective To investigate the effectiveness and safety of combined heparin and acutobin in the treatment of acute inferior vena cava thrombus in rabbits. Methods The inferior vena cava thrombus model was established in 72 rabbits and they were randomly divided into three groups; heparin group(A) , group for combination of urokinase and heparin (B), group for combination of acutobin and heparin (C) ,each group including 24 rabbits. Drugs were administrated 3 days after thrombosis. Coagulation indexes were tested to assess their safety, and Doppler ultrasound was used to assess their effectiveness, on day 3, day 7, and day 10. Results The prolongation of prothrombin time ( PT) in group C was shorter than that in group B( P < 0. 05 ) , the fibrinogen ( FBG) value in group C was lower than that in group B (P < 0. 05 ) , the prolongation of PT in group B and group C was longer than that in group A (P < 0. 01), the FBG value of group B and C were higher than that in group A ( P < 0. 01 ), D-dimer ( D-D) value in group B and C gradually returned to normal range. There was no difference between the two groups (P > 0. 05). The thrombolytic effect in group B and C were better than that in group A, statistical difference was reached between groups B and A (P <0. 01), and the difference was statistically significant between groups C and A 10 days after administration (P < 0. 01). Thrombolytic effect was not different statistically between groups B and C (P > 0. 05). Conclusion Acutobin combined with heparin in the treatment of acute inferior vena cava thrombus in rabbits was effective and safe.

Objective To make a genetic diagnosis of sporadic neurofibromatosis type 1 with café-au-lait spots as the only presentation in a child.Methods Blood samples were collected from an 8-year-old child patient,his parents,and 100 healthy human controls.The mutation of NF1 gene was detected by PCR and direct sequencing.Results No mutation was detected in the NF1 gene of the parents or the healthy controls.There was a de novo nonsense mutation c.3520C ＞ T (p.Q1174X) in the NF1 gene of the patient,which leaded to a premature termination codon.Conclusions The child with café-au-lait spots as the only manifestation is diagnosed with sporadic neurofibromatosis type 1 by genetic testing.The mutation c.3520C ＞ T (p.Q1174X) may be an underlying cause of neurofibromatosis type 1.

Objective To evaluate the changes in sagittal profiles and complications during treatment with growing rods (GRs) in hyperkyphotic early-onset scoliosis (EOS).Methods From December 2009 to December 2016,a total of 32 EOS patients who received growing rods treatment in our center,including 8 males and 24 females,were reviewed retrospectively.All the patients had minimum 2-year follow-up and over 2 lengthenings.Based on the reference value of thoracic kyphosis (TK) in T2-12 of normal children,the patients were categorized into an N group (20°≤TK≤50°,15 cases,4 males and 11 females) or K group (TK≥50°,17 cases,4 males and 13 females).The distribution of etiology was similar between the two groups.The average age was (6.2±2.0) years and (6.3±2.3) years respectively,curve flexibility was 34.6％± 10.4％ and 35.8％± 11.2％ before surgery.The precontoured rods were tunneled submuscularly,connecting proximal and distal anchors,and tandem or domino connectors.The rods were then locked after applying direct distraction that allowed appropriate elongation.The connectors were all placed under the deep fascia.Results The mean follow-up in the N and K groups was (5.5±1.9) years and (5.5±2.1) years,respectively.The distribution of proximal and distal anchors was similar between the two groups.The N and K groups,respectively,had an average number of lengthenings of 5.1±2.0 and 5.3±2.3,with mean lengthening intervals of (11.3±2.3) months and (10.9±1.9) months,respectively.In the N group,TK was decreased from 36.0°±9.4° to 30.6°±.8.3° after surgery,and to 32.2°±7.8° at the last follow-up,demonstrating it was maintained within the normal range.In the K group,TK was markedly reduced from 67.6°±11.6° to 41.7°±8.7° after the index surgery,with a correction rate of 38.3％± 14.6％,and the difference was statistically significant.And then it slightly increased to 46.5°±8.4° at the last follow-up,with correction loss of 7.1％±4.2％,and the difference was not statistically significant compared with the postoperatiom.The complication rate in the K group was significantly higher than in the N group (76.5％ vs.33.3％,P=0.031).The most common implant-and alignment-related complication in both groups was rod fracture (15.6％) and proximal junctional kyphosis (21.9％),respectively.The incidence of rod fracture in the N group and K group was 6.7％ and 23.5％,respectively.And the incidence of proximal junctional kyphosis was noted as 13.3％ and 29.4％ in the N group and K group,respectively.Proximal junctional angle (PJA) in the K group was greater than that in the N group preoperatively,postoperatively and at the last follow-up.Moreover,the increasing amount of PJA was significantly greater in the K group compared to the N group (1.6°± 1.0° vs.0.7°±0.8°).Four and seven complication events in the N and K groups,respectively,were evaluated with Grade Ⅰ.Four and seven complication events in the N and K groups,respectively,were classified as Grade Ⅱ A.Conclusion GRs can effectively restore the sagittal profile in hyperkyphotie EOS patients,but with a higher complication rate compared to the patients with normal kyphosis.

Objective To study one male patient with cirrhosis for spironolactone induced gynecomastia and promote clinical pharmacists providing better pharmaceutical cares .Methods Based on the patient′s diseases and medication history , clinical pharmacists searched related literature and analyzed the cause of gynecomastia for the patient .Results The patient′s breast pain was relieved and finally disappeared after termination of spironolactone .Therefore ,spironolactone was suspected to be the drug to cause gynecomastia .Conclusion Clinical pharmacists can improve pharmaceutical cares by carefully monitoring the adverse reactions and selecting appropriate medications .

Objective: To investigate the relationship between classroom lighting and poor vision of students in primary and secondary schools in Tianjin, and to provide reference for targeted prevention measures for comprehensive school eye health programmes. Methods: A total of 623 classrooms and 24 713 students in 89 primary and secondary schools in Tianjin were selected using stratified cluster sampling method in Sep.to Oct. of 2020. The illuminometer was used to monitor the lighting environment of the classroom, and the standard logarithmic vision light box was used to detect the naked eye vision of students. Chisquare test, variance analysis and binary Logistic regression were used in SPSS software. Results: Rate of low vision among primary and secondary school students in Tianjin was 67.86%. The qualification rate of blackboard reflectance, blackboard average illumination, blackboard illumination uniformity, desk average illumination and desk illumination uniformity were 58.11%, 53.13%, 73.19%, 66.61% and 75.12%, respectively. Univariate analyses showed that the blackboard reflectance, blackboard average illumination, desk average illumination, and desk illumination uniformity were associated with low vision among students(χ 2=311.29, 62.54, 61.71, 6.59, P<0.05). Multivariable Logistic regression analysis showed that blackboard reflectance, average illumination of blackboard and desk were associated with higher risk of poor vision[OR(95%CI)=1.19(1.11-1.27),1.27(1.17-1.37),1.11(1.02-1.20), P<0.05]. Conclusion Prevalence of low vision among primary and secondary school students in Tianjin is relatively high. Blackboard reflectance, average illumination of blackboard and desk are the important determinants for poor vision of primary and secondary school students. Creating effective classroom lighting scheme is crucial for vision health among students.

Objective:To detect gene mutations in patients with mild phenotypes of neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) .Methods:From June 2017 to June 2020, 5 probands with mild phenotypes of NF1 only involving the skin and their family members were collected from Department of Dermatology, Fengxian Institute of Dermatosis Prevention and Treatment in Shanghai. Pedigree investigation was performed to evaluate the clinical phenotypes of NF1. The second-generation targeted gene sequencing combined with Sanger sequencing was performed to detect and verify pathogenic mutations.Results:All the 5 probands presented with only skin lesions, including café-au-lait spots, freckles, neurofibromas, but no other systemic involvement. A total of 5 mutations were identified in different exons of the NF1 gene in the 5 families, including 1 large-fragment deletion mutation (hg38: chr17:31327199-31335928 del 8 730 bp) , 1 splicing mutation (C.7970+1G>T) , 1 insertion mutation (C.3011_3012insTATG, p.N1004fs*) , 1 deletion mutation (C.1754_1757delTAAC, p.T586Vfs*18) , and 1 nonsense mutation (c.C503G, p.S168X) , and the first 3 above mentioned mutations were previously unreported novel mutations.Conclusion:Five mutations were identified in the 5 families with mild phenotypes of NF1, including 3 novel mutations, which expand the mutational spectrum of NF1.

Objective: To understand the prevalence and influencing factors of scoliosis among middle school students in Tianjin, and to provide scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of scoliosis. Methods: Based on stratified cluster random sampling method, 21 679 middle school students from 62 middle schools (35 middle schools and 27 high schools) in Tianjin were selected for scoliosis screening and completed relevant questionnaires. Results: The prevalence of scoliosis in middle school students in Tianjin was 4.00%, with girls (5.13%) higher than that in boys (2.94%), vocational high school (5.96%) higher than that in ordinary senior high school (4.98%) and junior high school (3.00%), the differences were statistically significant ( χ 2=67.56, 71.46 , P <0.01). Multivariate Logistic regression showed that gender, district, school segment, number of physical educaiotn(PE) classes per week, outdoor activity time per day, and days of 60 minutes or more of moderate and vigorous exercise per day in a week were related to the detection rate of scoliosis( OR=0.12-1.95, P <0.05). Conclusion The detection rate of scoliosis among middle school students in Tianjin varies in gender, resident area and school level, so more attention should be paid to girls, high school students and students in middle economic area. Comprehensive efforts should incorporate duration, intensity and type of physical exercise.
