Journal of Integrative Medicine 2003;1(1):71-3
Fructus Xanthii is commonly used in rhinology, especially used in treatment of chronic rhinitis and sinusitis. But Fructus Xanthii is toxicant, and it maybe result in poisoning when used excessively, without preparation or in inappropriate preparation. This article reviewed all poisoning cases from 1960 to 2000, its toxicology and methods for detoxification

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(10):-
Objective To develop rescue device for pilots in air accidents and solve the problem that it's difficult for medical staff to carry out on-board rescue because of the height from the ground to the cockpit edge of the fighter plane. This device with hydraulic system is multi-use: it can be joined to the plane as a ladder and tied in an ambulance as a stretcher. The medical support level of air force dump and station will be improved after using it. Methods 6082 aluminium alloy for aeronautic with advanced and matured technology was utilized to weld the principal part. The fissions can be fitted together and drawn out. The cantilever with hanger was applied. The active and diagonal crutches and the separable composite structure were also used. Results With this device, two staff can board the fighter plane to carry the wounded pilot to the sliding seat which is stably controlled by hydraulic system and then after quick sliding and separating from the device, the seat become a stretcher, and thus it can avoid the second carrying to the pilot. Using this device, the rescue work on-board become faster, more steady and safer. Conclusions This device can provide on-board rescue for pilots of forced landing in air accidents and it can be configured in a new kind of outfield ambulance for both military and civilian purposes. Because of being simple in frame and light in weight, it is easy to take or transport.

Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2011;27(3):259-262
Objective To observe the fixation features of foveoschisis in pathological myopia patients. Methods 36 patients(42 eyes)with>-6.00D myopic degree and foveoschisis who diagnosed by optical coherence tomography were included. The patients were divided into foveoschisis with retinal detachment group(11 eyes),foveoschisis with macular hole group(12 eyes)and only foveoschisis group(19 eyes).Micro-perimeter MP-1 was used to identify the fixation location and fixation stability. Results The eccentric fixation were formed above the foyea in the foveoschisis with retinal detachment and foveoschisis with macular hole group, the fixation location was formed on fovea in the only foveoschisis group. The fixation stability of the foveoschisis with retinal detachment, foveoschisis with macular hole and only foveoschisis group were(23±4)0A,(59±6)% ,(91±11)% respectively, the difference was statistically significant(F=243.47,P<0.01).Conclusions The fixation location is formed on foyea in the patients with foveoschisis in pathological myopia. The eccentric fixation is formed above the fovea in the patients who has foveoschisis with retinal detachment and macular hole in pathological myopia.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(05):-
Objective: To study the effect of TIP30 gene on the cell cy cle distribution in adenoid cystic carcinoma ACC-M cells. Methods: Wild type TIP30 gene was transfected into ACC-M cells by using lipofectamin e, the postive cell clone was selected with G418,the expression of TIP30 protei n in the cells was detected by Western blot. Cell cycle distribution was detecte d by flow cytometry. Results:14 days after seletion anti-G418 c ell clone was obtained. Wstern blot revealed that the TIP30 protein was expresse d in the transfected cells.Flow cytometric analysis indicated that TIP30 induced a arrest of the cells in G 0-G 1 phase and led to a decrease of cell percent age in G 2-M and S phase. Conclusion:ACC-M can stably express exogene TIP30.TIP30 can inhibit proliferation of ACC-M cells.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2004;24(4):350-3
To investigate the role of connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) in transdifferentiation of human renal tubular epithelial cell (HKC), in vitro cultured HKC cells were divided into 3 groups: negtive control, low dose CTGF-treated group (rh CTGF, 2.5 ng/ml) and high dose CTGF-treated (rhCTGF, 5.0 ng/ml). Then the expression of alpha-smooth muscle actin (alpha-SMA) were assessed by indirect immuno-fluorescence, and the percentage of alpha-SMA positive cells were assessed by flow cytometry. RT-PCR were also performed to examine the mRNA level of alpha-SMA. Upon the stimulation of different concentrations of rhCTGF, the expression of alpha-SMA were markedly stronger than that in negative controls. The percentages of alpha-SMA positive cells were significantly higher in the stimulated groups than that of negative controls (38.9%, 65.5% vs 2.4%, P<0.01). alpha-SMA mRNA levels were also up-regulated by the stimulation of rhCTGF (P<0.01). These results suggest that CTGF can promote the transdifferentiation of human renal tubular epithelial cells towards myofibroblast (Myo-F).

Chinese Journal of Nephrology 1997;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the role of connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) in transdifferentiation of human renal tubular epithelial cells (HKC).Methods Cultured HKC were divided into 3 groups: (1) negative control; (2) low dose CTGF treated (rhCTGF 2. 5 ng/ml); (3) high dose CTGF treated (rhCTGF,5. 0 ng/ml). Expression of ?-smooth muscle actin (?-SMA) and fibronectin(FN) mRNA were measured by RT-PCR. Indirect immunofluorescence and flow cytometry methods were used to assess the level of intracellular ?-SMA protein. Concentration of FN secreted into the media was determined by ELBA. Results Upon the stimulations of different concentrations of rhCTGF,expression of ?-SMA and FN mRNA increased markedly(P

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the effect of esophageal variceal ligation (EVL) on portal hypertensive gastropathy (PHG). Methods Gastroscopic examinations were performed both before and after the EVL in 37 cases of PHG. Results The severity of PHG was correlated with the liver functions, and the morbidity of PHG was higher in cases of Child C (100%, 9/9) than in cases of Child A (60%, 12/20) or Child B (80%, 16/20) ( ? 2=18 452,P =0 001). PHG could be exasperated by the application of EVL, but no statistical significance was seen ( ? 2=3 512,P =0 173). On re-examination of gastroscopy 6~12 months later, no relapse or re-bleeding of esophageal varices or gastric mucosa hemorrhage occurred. Conclusions The worse the liver functions, the higher is the incidence of PHG. EVL treatment creates a tendency to aggravating PHG.
